You don,t want to go there seriously, really seriously.Come return to the Brotherhood in non-league, we're about to be the newest member and we need more friends.
Its not bad to watch us defending, its entertaining in a perverse way. Not good for the nervous though. Earlier in the season there was complaining but now its mostly being seen as a good sign of how much the players care. Having a team that wants it as much as the supporters is a great feeling.I agree thought we were much the better side in truth. We had more clear cut chances and in the second half, Crawley didn’t look like scoring at all. It’s worth noting that Crawley were one of the form teams in the league as well and they never really laid a glove on us.
Our defensive record is truly remarkable and Peter Clarke is simply outstanding. He had a central midfielder with him yesterday playing at CB and it looked like they’d been our chosen two all season!
It’s exciting times for us because we’re playing an efficient style of football and have a very good squad now. The recruitment is starting to turn for the better and we’re seeing the rewards. When we have Glatzel and Hawkes back we have even more options going forward. Combine that with our defence and defensive midfield options and we’re looking sound. O’Connor by the way has been absolutely outstanding the last couple of months. Really hope we can sign him permanently from Celtic as he’s going places that lad.
The FGR game should be a belter. Im all about looking up the table rather than looking down so would like to win to start putting pressure on them. Especially as we host Stevenage and go to Barrow in the two after that which you’d fancy us to take 6 points from. I’m still not used to this “being in the automatic promotion places” lark though!

Aye, but Raj is thinking he,s doing a cloughie.I think Hartlepool need to get a proper manager in, bit of a daft appointment for your first season back in the FL - surely someone with a bit of experience was a better option.
Molyneux could have been dragged at half time, And not been missed.Fela should be picked more often, he'll blow very hot and cold but he was much more threat than Molyneux and Cullen. He's more of a winger I think, we should really change the shape as we are far too predictable and one dimensional. It is embarrassing seeing us punt the ball to two midgets up top. Then again I don't think Lee and Nelse have any firm ideas how they want their sides to play.
We don't want too but we're resigned to it at this pointYou don,t want to go there seriously, really seriously.
Aside from a sketchy first 5 minutes where they had the lion's share of posession, I thought we were well in control pretty much throughout, and the stats back it up. I don't understand some of their fans suggesting we were lucky.I agree thought we were much the better side in truth. Funny you say that about the fouling. I've just seen the stats and it was 13 fouls for each side. Also states we had 56% possession . Although we're not good at least we are getting better.Game of 2 halves. We were good 1st, poor 2nd. Rovers team is certainly a Barton side - 6 yellows, constant fouling. If they spent less time fouling they may have had all 3 points. Dreadful.
Strange we gave them an extra 304 tickets when they didn’t sell out their initial allocation of 2500
It’s not just the fouls that were given it was the sheer volume of niggly shirt pulling and the like. Not moaning about that, just that it seemed if you had spent that effort on disrupting our play into creating something yourself you may have had all 3 points. You created very little and don’t remember our keeper making any saves.Funny you say that about the fouling. I've just seen the stats and it was 13 fouls for each side. The question is who is going to provide cover on the bench with no strikers available? Perhaps Sonny Cox would be a better option, but he's out on loan too.If he is your answer, what is the question?
Well. Delighted to be back at a game after six weeks. Pity it was that game.
I think apart from that fox going for a wander on the pitch in the first half couldn’t point to anything else that happened at all.
Pretty pleased with the result though. Felt like an age since we kept a clean sheet and we’ve needed to make ourselves a bit tougher to score against than we have been lately. Orient looked like a team who hadn’t played a league game for a long time which is perfectly understandable. We are still trying to hit our stride again too following our break so can imagine it’ll be similar for yourselves unfortunately. Hall and Hussey do look like being very good additions for us.
I saw a fox on my way back to Stratford, after our game back in October, just stood on the pavement...didn't seem too bothered that I was there, I stopped as soon as I saw it, it just watched me for a bit then disappeared through some railings and out of view. Clearly I haven't a clue whether it had also been to the match!Fox definitely the highlight though I assume you missed the flock of parakeets as they were right up there as well.
No wonder he is a dirty Spireite.Banks was exactly the same in the reverse fixture. He only stopped off the balling our players when he could hear the lower west stand signalling to watch him to the linesman. Easily the dirtiest visiting player out of the majority of home games that I've watched.
Thank god he’s 40 years old, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to keep him as we’d have Championship clubs queuing up to take him off our hands.
The players fitness levels have dropped in the last 2 months.Fela should be picked more often, he'll blow very hot and cold but he was much more threat than Molyneux and Cullen. I've always but Singh the benefit of the doubt, but not now.Bold statement at this time...
I went to an FA Cup game at Ashford Town (Middx) a few years ago, apparently a flock of parakeets goes there to roost in the late afternoon...didn't manage to see them though...although I have seen one in Gloucester.
We get them in our garden, I had no idea they were in London. It’s always a welcome distraction when working from homePretty much guaranteed to get a second half parakeet fly past at Orient these days. Lovely sight.
There is definitely at least one large flock of them in London, with various stories about where they might have come from as they are clearly not a native but an invasive species...one theory is that the original birds escaped from a film set and, with no real predators, they have continued to thrive. We get them in our garden, I had no idea they were in London. You've got Robshep frothing at the mouth suggesting that there is anything wrong with TranmereGiven Tranmere's GF and GA, are they a really boring side to watch?
Defensively, to only to have conceded 15 at this point of the season is obviously impressive (and I love a good, solid defence as much as everyone else where it feels like you'll rarely concede) but 28 goals scored?
Is the lack of goal scoring down to poor attacking options, lack of chances, a defensive way of playing, risk averse etc?
We aren't boring to watch just very stubborn defensively and not prolific attack wise. Micky Mellon has said in interviews its not deliberate tactics but he isnt bothered if we win 1-0 a lot because they work at being awkward to play against. Not a team to put on your 2•5 goals per game bet if you like a gamble for sure.Given Tranmere's GF and GA, are they a really boring side to watch?

I see no suggestion of anything wrong with us. Just not prolific at scoring, except once. You've got Robshep frothing at the mouth suggesting that there is anything wrong with Tranmere
Years ago any escaped exotic bird wouldnt last very long outside but they have obviously adapted now. Rapid evolution. Must upset the religious types. There is definitely at least one large flock of them in London, with various stories about where they might have come from as they are clearly not a native but an invasive species...one theory is that the original birds escaped from a film set and, with no real predators, they have continued to thrive.
The bird I saw was a couple of years ago, when walking into town...I heard a squawk, looked up and saw a green bird fly past and into a tree that was in full leaf. I didn't see it reappear but heard it making a right old racket, it was definitely a parakeet...the only other green bird you might see in the UK is a woodpecker and it was nothing like one of them...apparently it had been sighted in several areas of the city, backing up my claim of having seen it!
