The better team won. The Mansfield commentators really were pricks though. Utterly clueless and even called us Grimsby during the first half.
Could’ve been worse, they could’ve called you Scunthorpe instead.

1-0 up and Crawley are there for the taking. Despite this, we won't push for a 2nd and we will put everyone behind the ball which will allow Crawley back into the game. It's so predictable.
Delphic oracle you ain't!

I was out and about all day yesterday and didn't even find out the result until 8pm so no comment on the game but each team can only beat what's in front of us and by all accounts we never turned up.

In Yems' interview he lays into the team. First time I've heard him do that. Says the players are all training today. Harsh after such a long trip.

Personally I think we are one off those teams that will win 4 on the bounce followed by losing 4....or 5 and we are going to get runs like these.

Hopefully that's our bad run over.

It is exactly what happened though, although we managed to get a second before Cox starting tinkering.

We could have won 4 or 5 before Cox made his terrible subs and allowed you back into the game.

Both FGR & Salford play League 2 football therefore post placed on correct thread.
Indeed, however Salford’s match day thread only having one post about the game is also very deserving of a place in the tinpot thread.

Pretty much it yes...... just hope there are worse teams than us come May.
Glad I only had a 35 minute drive home and not over 2hrs to Oldham, only positive sadly.
I suppose right now, neither of us are in the relegation zone. Scunthorpe do look pretty poor and don't seem to have the resources to fix their issues either. We played them already this season and you don't look as bad as they did, and neither do we now (though we did then).

Well then YOU can add copy to the tinpot thread.
I'm happy for it to remain on the proper League 2 thread.

BTW, Grimsby play in National League so bit strange that you are interfering with posts concerning League 2 clubs.

FGR Stroud that’s been a standard thing for years on here about any tinpot stuff that gets posted.

And you gotta admit Salford are exceptionally tinpot. 1 post on a match thread makes our forum look busy lol.

Last time I looked Salford were 17th in table with 16 pts.
As a supporter of one of the smallest supported clubs in the Football League I refuse to knock any other team as tinpot. Those who do could easily end up with egg on their face.
The Grimsby supporter who initiated the tinpot remarks appears to have a bee in his bonnet against lesser supported clubs that are doing better than his own club.

Are you a Conservative politician by any chance as you have about as much personality as one.

So you formed that opinion from 2mins highlights.
???

No, I formed that opinion on about three seconds of highlights - the three seconds that showed that disallowed goal.

I was at the game. Harrogate had got themselves into a 2 goal lead and silenced the crowd. We needed a good start to the second half. That third Harrogate goal, had it counted, could've killed us.

Showing concern for the underdog, the less established club trying to grab a foothold? He might be a politician, but it'd be a fucken stretch to label him as a Conservative one.

I meant it more as having zero personality.

Yep at least in the non league forum most of them have got a sense of humour unlike some of the wet lettuces in this section.

Occupational hazard that. Still gotta take the piss whenever possible out of clubs more tinpot then yourselves (doesn’t happen too often for us lol), it’s what lower league banter is all about.

Salford’s support is hilariously shit, can’t believe their fans had the gall to sing that our support was fucking shit when only 10 of them actually sung. It was like being back in non league. Also them being 16th is also incredibly shit given their massive budget, don’t think Bowyer will last long based on that. Once they stopped being able to bully us and time waste their game plan fell apart. Oh well at least their fans and owners main/proper team is doing well eh? Ole’s at the wheel. :fl:

Fair point those two look class, even though I thought Worrall was more of a winger then wing back?

In terms of goal contributions, Cadden (5 goals 4 assists) & Wilson (2 goals 4 assists) have got to be right up there so far surely?

Absolutely. Cracking pair of players.
Not a sniff on Jay & Nombe.

Must've missed when they became wing backs.

Don't need wing backs scoring and assisting (Dan meet Josh Key, Josh Key, meet Dan) when you have the most lethal partnership in the league in Jay & Nombe

Technically its third to Matt and Stevens and Armstrong/Muldoon... all three show as 14 league goals in the partnerships but FGR's have 7 assists and Harrogate's 5 to Exeter's 2.

If you ignore the fact that Nombe had Covid and didn't even start the season, sureeeeee.

Bang on. How can any of us who support a league 2 club call another club tinpot?

That’s one of the joys of being a football fan though, no matter how small and tinpot you are there’s always someone even smaller even more tinpot to take the piss out of.

You mean like Accrington, Fleetwood and Morecambe?
