Could have been 2 or 3 up before Harrogate got their first then we fell apart until half time. Liddle coming on made an incredible difference to the defence and once we got our first back you just knew we were getting something from the game.

Agree with this, great opening 15 minutes, then two rotten goals to concede, keeper really has to come out and collect that ball across his 6 yard box, second half and the introduction of Liddle and Harrogate didn't know what hit them, class from the players, real never say die attitude, thought Regan Ogle was immense when he came on and Luke Hendrie is a level above Timi, what a great signing he's looking like.

I said it earlier in the season, not many teams will come to Pools and get maximum points this season.

Fucking Gerrin!!

Mitchell didn't convince, I thought he should've kept out their first as well. Killip looks the better bet for me.
Agree Luke Hendrie is a solid signing, the Grimsby fans were right.

Walsall 2 Barrow 2

a much better 2nd half from Barrow - but it looked like a 2nd Miller goal was going to give Walsall the win - but Josh Gordon nets a 96th minute equaliser.
Got what we deserved mate sat back after the second goal and threw that game away.

Certainly was, changed to 532 and brought on Gary Liddle who was immense.

Amazing turnaround, we missed some good chances before Harrogate scored twice, two bad goals to give away. They then controlled the game until the half time switches.

3 goals in 7 minutes blow Harrogate away, Matty Daly's for the 3rd is an absolute pearler. He has serious quality that lad.

They never had a sniff after that. We look a good side at the minute. Play some really good stuff and Cullen is putting away the chances we missed earlier in the season.

Fantastic atmosphere yet again.

I was impressed with Daly on Tuesday at Valley Parade.

Didn't realise he was on loan from our dear neighbours Huddersfield.

Impressive comeback today against Harrogate.

Sounds like a late sickener for Sutton after coming from two down with ten men. And a Scunthorpe win. Fair few surprises today.
Hmm.. Sutton could and probably should have been 4 or 5 down before our Keeper went all rag handed. it was only fair that Dale snatched it with almost the last kick of the game.
Sutton surprised me with how poor they were today; given that on average they were twice the size of our team. Looked like they just hadn't scouted us at all.

Mind you Coleman in our net needs to get some fookin glue on his gloves.

Agree with Eric we could have had 5 in the end which I did not think I would have been saying at half time. Goals are starting to come and as pointed out now joint most clean sheets now along with Tranmere. Considering their home record that is probably our best result of the season. Tranmere fans, what happened today that hasnt so far this year?

Back into the top 3 and hopefully continue our good run. Etete scoring in two consecutive league games, the lad has so much talent (a spurs loanee), could definitely see him continuing his form.

Really comfortable win today against a very poor Colchester. They seemed to just go through the motions and we probably could have won by more. We look comfortably better than a lot of the teams and when we are off our game like Tuesday we can still come away with something.

The only positive from today’s game was that we only conceded 2 goals. Text book second half performance from Northampton who will be scratching their heads how they never scored more. First half was a non event and the game had 0-0 written all over it. We certainly missed Josh Hawkes and possibly 3 games in a week is too much for our older players.

Shit happens,

Yes, we did not turn up today. The Harrogate game on Tuesday night seemed to take a lot out of us, and the second half performance was as bad as any we have produced under Mellon, both with the ball and defensively.

Northampton looked a decent side, well organised and with good pace out wide, but they won't have an easier afternoon all season.

Not a disaster, as we are still in touch. A response is needed at Mansfield next week now.

Should never have been in the game, our game management is abysmal. Two corners, two goals. Pleased with the win but we need to learn.
Yep. If we’d have dropped points we’d only have ourselves to blame. We really should have been cruising 3+ ahead before Sutton scored.
Moaning aside though to win at home and in the manner we did was nice change. For much of the game today we looked like as good as pre-Burnley. Hoping we can keep that up and get back to being a pressing entertaining side.

Well that was so so poor, and from both teams.
Carlisle looked dangerous a couple of times first half but showed nothing in the second.
We were so poor going forward even though we had some good chances.
Bahamboula had his worst game for us, the midfield were woeful imo, too slow moving the ball when counter attacks were a possibility.
DKD had our best chances and we had a goal dissalowed.
Fans never stopped but the players gave nothing, they dont deserve support.
AL out.

Finished 3-1. Didn't see that coming after Tuesday night. Should have won more comfortably in my opinion. Some really good chances in the second half, particularly the one Cook should have buried. Really solid at the back too; Canavan made a big difference. Swindon reminded me of how we've played plenty of times this season with a lot of the ball but doing absolutely nothing with it.

Edit: Watched Robinson's goal again. Fantastic finish but I think he's offside

Nah, their number 2 is playing him on side by about 5 yards. He’s out of view hugging the touch line - onside by …an absolute …. 5 yards.

Pretty easy win for the Vale. Colchester were crap and never looked interested. We controlled the game throughout and probably could or should of scored more.

We have started to become consistent over the last couple of months or so and look a good team.

We will go through bad spells, just like every team, but I am very optimistic right now.

Solid win, felt we were sloppy at times first half but Colchester were awful as an attacking threat.

We were ruthless first half, two goals although had a couple the keeper had to parry.

Gave Colchester a couple of real chances mostly by us over playing.

Second half weathered a little storm first ten minutes then dominated scored a third and missed 3 or 4 more chances to add to the score.

Colchester looked really poor for a side with a good defensive record this season I have to say.

Pleasing to win again and 7 points is a decent week, as mentioned if we get on it we are a level above the mid table teams and if we are not on it we’ve done well to grind out a point at Mansfield. The players we rested at Mansfield in Gibbons and Cass really were outstanding today.

Same old story with us, resilient and deal with tough periods of the game well when under pressure and tough to get at and break down.

But going forward we're devoid of confidence right now, in the first half we was a bit unlucky with a shot cleared off the line and Adam Smith denied Harry Smith with a good save. Lawrence Vigouroux pulled off a good 1v1 save too. We also had a few moments when better decision making was needed from Theo Arhcibald and Dan Kemp.

Second half Stevenage's Eliott List caused us some problems early on and Vigoroux had to make a few saves from him and Harry Smith had a 1v1 saved as well, before the game petered out to a bit of damp 0-0, which in truth was about what both sides deserved, a game with two sides out of form in the goalscoring department.

Stevenage were more than happy with the draw and time wasted at every chance, they kept trying to break with long balls onto Elliot List.

5 draws from last 6 games now. Only so long we can keep playing Harry Smith and going long to him each time, Jackett needs to really change it up and put Aaron Drinan back there. The only other natural striker we have is Tyrese Omotoye and Jackett is refusing to use him, which means we aren't freshening up our strikers when we need a new approach.

Frustrating, because I don't think I've seen a Leyton Orient side as tough to break down and get at as this one is.

Impressive comeback today against Harrogate.

Seems the players now believe they belong here and can compete at this level.
They have certainly shown it this week.

Good win today against a poor and one dimensional Gas. Again plenty of chances we didn’t put away - should’ve had 5 or 6. Missed some guilt edged chances .

3 cracking goals from us. Kane Wilson’s especially was top class. Another one destined for the Prem imo. Can’t be a better pair of wing backs at this level then Cadden and Wilson. Keeping them fit (and beyond January) is massive.

Our partnership of Gibbons and Worrall would give them a run for their money.

Hmm.. Sutton could and probably should have been 4 or 5 down before our Keeper went all rag handed. it was only fair that Dale snatched it with almost the last kick of the game.

I thought the exact same after our game down there, yet all Vale fans were bizarrely praising them and saying they were a good side. I thought they were absolutely awful and got a ridiculous amount of luck to win the game. Two own goals and two goals that shouldn't have even counted with two poor refereeing decisions from an incorrect call on a throw in and an appalling free kick decision. Lot of effort, determination and a never say die attitude that will see them do alright, but certainly weren't a 'really good side' like some were saying.

Agreed, much better overall today, even in the first half at 11v11 we were much the better side and deservedly ahead, but like I said, we really do need to cut out these silly late goals. Having watched them back Coleman definitely to blame for both, but also poor marking. He’s played pretty well in the main and has improved from some nervy performances earlier in the season, and kept us in the game at Salford on Tuesday, just not sure if he’s better than Lynch overall, but at the moment RS seems to think so.

It’s good to see things coming together for Cullen lately. The biggest knock on him is not so much what he does on the pitch but just how often you see it due to injury. When he is fit he makes very intelligent runs and is a good finisher which we saw from his first season with us. His second one he was never quite right and just couldn’t get a consistent run of games.

I always thought he had that touch and swagger of a good footballer. He was just always injured and I don't think we had the best supply line to him as he's only small. Good luck to him though as there's definitely a player in there.

Yeah I think that’s also true Askeys 4-3-3 was not really playing to his strengths. More away from home certainly where I don’t think it worked with him at all. I think those goals at Bradford midweek must have been his first away goals for about 2+ years I think am right in saying. At VP he had a very decent scoring record by contrast though.

I like what I've seen of him so far, he's never gonna be a striker who chases the oppo down constantly but he seems smart with the ball at his feet, two poacher finishes against Bradford Tuesday and a deft little flicked back header today to equal things up.

We've needed someone all season just to poke it over the line, we've got the pacy skilful lads we just need a finisher, hopefully he stays fit and keeps some kind of consistency for us.

Fair point those two look class, even though I thought Worrall was more of a winger then wing back?

In terms of goal contributions, Cadden (5 goals 4 assists) & Wilson (2 goals 4 assists) have got to be right up there so far surely?
