Wish Andy Proctor all the best too but also hope the Orient fan doesn't feel responsible, I read that exchange at the time and they said nothing that wasn't warranted by what got posted first. Only right we look out for each other's mental health but also people can only take as they find if you join an open forum.

I don’t think the Orient fan has been on that long or certainly regular enough to know Andy’s difficulties in fairness to him and probably just felt it was banter.

Have to feel a bit for David Amoo, not sure what he has to do to get a start over an under-performing Rodney this season. Would have wanted to see Jake Taylor in there also but not unhappy at all to see Politic get a start.

Rodney caused Colchester big problems last season in both games so maybe that in mind? He doesn’t seem right though, suggestions of Long Covid maybe? He hasn’t had anywhere near his pace since.

His last two posts on here were alarming to say the least, clearly needs some proper help and stepping away from online spaces would seemingly be for the best, life isn't as easy for some as it is for others, I wish him nothing but the best and a full recovery.

I echo the above sentiments that it might be best for him to step away from online spaces for a while, and hope that he gets well and is back home among those who care for him soon.

I know which post he is referring to, in truth it didn't strike me as a particularly direct accusation of being a racist, it was more a case of 'you're probably one of those', referring to the Vigoroux incident and followed a particularly vile comment from Andy himself, so I wouldn't blame the fan who made the comment.

It just illustrates how difficult a place the internet can be for those going through mental health crises can be. Andy did make a concerning post not long before that, but it's hard to tell whether he meant it seriously, whether he was just trying to be funny, or even if he was mocking those who struggle themselves.

So yeah, get well soon bud, and take some time to yourself before you come back.

We're sounding lively and made a few decent chances but had a bit of hairy moment when Moore Taylor ended up with just a yellow for last man tackle that might have seen red. Expect all the Salford fans on here will be spitting feathers about that later.

Absolutely dreadful from us so far - Walsall haven't had to do anything and they've had about 7 shots. Our midfield and defence are afraid to put a tackle in.

Hannant completely daydreaming for the opening goal, never a wingback. Game over already, been battered for the opening ten minutes.

Big reason why we played so much better on tuesday was due to Quinn being back and having the McLaughlin - Quinn partnership down the left, but no McLaughlin today so that's a big miss, Hewitt out too so we've got two very inexperiened full backs today.

2-0 Wilson. Good start, nice to see us get that second goal when on top. Not always been something we’ve done well.

We're 1-0 up with Lavery scoring. Not sure what we're doing.

Wouldn’t have given a red, looked like Dom was covering to me.

We started better but Salford look a real threat tbf. Could have had a second without that McGee tip over.

Feels like the sort of game we should be giving these an absolute battering but seen this happen with Vale before this season where we have those spells but allow the opposition to remain in the game. Colchester don’t know what to do with Politic, he is giving them hell.

Radio Stoke seem to think we are having an off day but this is a standard showing. Completely hopeless.

Tighter than a submarine door at Prenton Park but I think we should be ahead, and would be with a clinical finisher

1-0 up and Crawley are there for the taking. Despite this, we won't push for a 2nd and we will put everyone behind the ball which will allow Crawley back into the game. It's so predictable.

2-0 up at half time. Never expected this after the performance last week. Decent finish for the first and a real scruffy tap in for the second. Defending well for a change too.

Belting free kick from Nicky Cadden. That lad is destined for the Prem.

Walsall must be gutted, because they've battered us today and we've scored with just about our only decent move. A very good goal it was though. Worried about our yellows at the back, because any defending we've done had been last-ditch.

Hopefully we go three at the back for the second half as we haven't got a clue how to defend with a back four.

I don’t think we’ve been that great if I’m honest but 2-0 up. Took our chances, had a couple of good other chances but been sloppy.

1-0 down. Louis John off injured. Ritchie Bennett sent-off.

Fair to say it’s not going well.

A very good half from Dale. Sutton down to 10 just on HT. if we play like we did first half we should get a few today.

Scrappy and niggly. Rovers had more possession Cobblers probably the better chances. Draw about right at h/t

Salford very physical, almost brutal at times. While our defence today isn't quite as it should be, think we should be able to beat them...

Should be 4-0 up. Two great chances for Sutton and Lavery again.

Get in Cobblers. Started the second half like a train and deservedly take the lead.

3-0 Martin. That should seal it for us barring a real catastrophe.

That must have been a hell of a team talk from Dave Challinor in Hartlepools game.

Colchester are really poor.
I usually see the game as a football fan and not a one eyed vale fan, but geez they’re terrible.
One move and a header and that’s it.
Absolutely smashing them, Conlon is tremendous today.
