Let’s hope for them halcyon days of 8-1 and 7-0 wins that we were accustomed to with games vs Barrow at the Mill.
Wonder what the longest odds have been ever in this league for any match, we will likely not see them ever again....if bookies will only offer 11/2 as the biggest shot of the day for Notts vs FGR then I don’t know what will entice much higher odds.

William hill had Scunthorpe away at bristol rovers on the final game of the 21/22 season at 28/1 after scunthorpe effectively played their kids.

I find it hard believe that could be beaten.

Rovers home to an Accrington side, who seem to be running into some form. It seems that Adkins has given more structure to the team, but defensively brittle and he seemed to get some of the sub choices wrong at Crawley. Think we need to get something from this game.

Our assistant Clint Hill odds on favourite for the job at your place. Heard anything?

It'd be a shame from our point of view, I think he and Challinor make a good team.

They weren’t very good against us. Should be looking to win at home.

Absolutely nothing, one of our forums suggested he was linked to Oldham.

Adkins will get at least a few games to see if he can turn things around and decide whether he’d fancy the job or not. There doesn’t seem to be a great deal of urgency from the Palioi at present.

Looks like we might be without Maris tomorrow again. All our injured players have been pictured at a Macmillon coffee morning at the ground this morning. Fuck sake

To be fair if all our injured players donated a weeks wages they’d have a cure for cancer next week!

I hear its pretty bad on the injury front, any chance they are going to be injured by a week on Tuesday? I think Mansfield will be up there, and I really rate DKD and sad not to see him join us permanently a couple of years ago before covid.

Hopefully we’ll press Notts high up the pitch tomorrow, condense the space so they can’t play their possession game. If we sit back we’re just waiting to be beaten.

Doesn’t look like anyone else will be back from injury yet, and we’ve obviously lost Moore-Taylor & Dabo which isn’t ideal, expect Welch and maybe Lavinier to start.

It will be interesting to see if any of the missing 13 are available tomorrow.
Ravenhill
Miller
Lavery
Griffiths
Sterry
Maxwell
All definitely out.
Could do with some back for competition and strength. I can’t see us getting anything tomorrow, I’m sure I read somewhere that we are the team Gillingham have beaten more than any other which probably explains why we only draw when they are shit

Our biggest weakness in recent weeks has been defending crosses, corners and throws so we’re totally screwed against Wrexham.

I’m going for a 3-1 loss.

What do they do in training at Mansfield?

Players clearly can not shake it off for years afterwards. Hawkins and Lapslie both out for extended period at our place.

Hope we kept the receipts.

To be fair it’s actually much better now. Other than our long term injuries in Kilgour and Hewitt who are out for the season and then Oates and Quinn who are out for a 2/3 months it’s only Maris I think. Clough did say this weekend might be too soon so I’d expect him back for the Gillingham and Wrexham games.

Agree with this, last week were were really strong in the first half against Donny and took the game to them, on another day we might have gone in at the break a couple of goals ahead instead of one down. We will really need to see that level of intensity from the off today, otherwise it could be a very long afternoon. The last thing we needed last week was injuries to defenders...I am still struggling to pick a line up but think we may have a back four of Lavinier, Welch, Inniss and Robson.

A ridiculously tough opening run looked like it might let up slightly today when the fixtures came out, sods law that relegation favourites Crawley are also in very good form and we’ve got a trip to Swindon the week after.

Hurst has indicated that two bad results in these games and the mood may drastically change, but 2 good results will also raise the mood through the roof. Sounds like we’re still missing a couple & you can guarantee Orsi will bag one.

Colchester just screams of a banana skin. Most Crewe fans will expect a win, given our recent form and our home form (11 unbeaten)

But Colchester are no mugs and there recent form looks decent, unlucky not to have beaten Mansfield on Saturday by the looks of things. We have some tough games on the horizon so 3 points is quite key if we're to challenge in and around the play offs.

I'm going for another win, but a tight game in which more than likely we have to come from behind again.

Crewe 2-1 Colchester (Long, Baker-Richardson, Akinde) 3,850 (200 Uwes)
Uwes?

Isn’t every game a tough game when you’re a Grimsby fan?

Could pick a 3rd so just a double. I feel I've let myself down before anyone else does.

No news of an outbreak of beriberi in the Notts camp? Was my best hope.
We've two out long term, and Nemane, probably our quickest outlet suspended. His probable replacement was injured last week .
I'd guess that we'll have the same team as last week had Nemane but have Austin on the right and Jodi Jones on the left .
Williams does keep injury worries close to his chest so you never know, the line-up may have a few changes.

I was one of only about two people to put down a win for us on our forum prediction league, and see my named scorer Troy is starting so looking good. Let's not mention the missing midfield and defenders. I also had us down to score four despite not managing more than one for about a year, which tells you everything you need to know about my tipster skills.
