Just watched our highlights, both Orient goals and our second goal were all down to defensive fuck ups.
The joys of League 2.
Yeah I said the same further up mate. Even our equaliser Glennon picks up a misplaced pass before giving it to Hunt. That ball from Hunt gets better with every watch though. Absolutely class. Shades of that ball he knocked down the pitch for Sousa last season against Wrexham at home. If he can do that more regularly we have some player on our hands.

Can’t believe we got a draw today.
The defence is a complete & utter shambles,I hope I never see Hartley in there again & I think that‘ll be the end for Naing,I bloody hope so.
Kemp apart, the midfield was poor & the attack non existent, fortunately Walsall also have some donkeys in defence & threw the game away.
Definatley a point gained.
JA is probably downing a bottle of whisky after what he’s seen today.

It’s been easy for us all season tbh. We’re not exactly amazing, but everyone else is just painfully shit. Only trouble we have is when we don’t physically compete against the organised hoofball sides.

I didn’t realise Wimbledon were so in to the dark arts and a nasty physical side to play against too. Pell must be their leader.

Anyway, decent win against them which was deserved on our second half display. AFCW actually looked like decent side on the occasions they realised they were meant to be playing football.

Good following from them today too.

That’s a rarity with JA, he’s usually a 4-3-3 guy without much deviation. Sterry will thrive under him once he gets going, he loves fullbacks who will bomb forward and create overlaps. Hoping it goes well for him and Goody anyway.

Today was his 2nd day on the job, without a single RB available to him, one banned, other injured, I'd imagine he just used the word of existing coaches and went with it today.

Pruti was pulling a double shift, his own and Hartley's, I thought he was gonna be an astute signing, looks like a player who's been coasting it in India for 2 years, Ferguson's gone backwards, pings a half decent cross in every so often but defensively looks crap and Foran had a torrid time of it today.

We weren't great at all today, but Stockport were awful - they probably had more possession but I don't remember them even threatening from open play. That's the double over Bradford and Stockport now, but can't see it being the beginnings of a run like it was at the start of the season - probably most impressive is that we've tightened up at the back and only had one shot on target against us in those two games.

It's probably not what we want long-term, but the dour football is doing the trick.

Awful game at Barrow which Barrow nicked. We've been on a good run but I've seen that away game from us 3 or 4 times this calendar year alone so not majorly out of character.
Do you mean Barrow’s pitch is as bad as ours…? Surely not…

Today was the day i thought would’ve happened against tranmere, rilddled wjtj a ridiculous injury list worse than. any other league 2 side could possibly imagine it was always going to happen sooner or later.

An aging side we once and again cut apart by a fast and efficient salford side.

Given the injury list we’ve got it’s actually remarkable we’re even in the playoffs to start, the injuries we’ve had are just crazy
Tbf when you throw the inevitable stinker in that we all do at this level it's always nice to take some comfort out of it when you've done it against a team that's currently out the promotion/play off scene so it's not a double whammy and you get it out the way with minimal damage.

Agree about you at the back look very shaky and vulnerable we usually are very solid typical we score three then give 3 bad goals away first time this season we have conceded more than two.

Cack for most of the game so really happy to get a point, I haven't seen either back but first penalty was soft as anything you'll see, second one looked right, should've had a third when Featherstone had his ankles clipped just as he was about to shoot.

Askey has some task on his hands to turn this around, defence is bobbins, Dan Kemp is singlehandedly propping up the midfield and depending on how long Umerah is out the current forward line don't have it in them, glad for Jennings getting a goal though, really doesn't have the required quality but he grafts and gives it his all.
The first was a penalty mate White had one of his liability moments and pulled your lad back when there was no need to do it the fucking clown.

I thought we were the better side today and deserved the victory, certainly for the second half display.

In the first half Stevenage had the majority of possession, with a lot of balls into the box, but we defended really well against the aerial stuff with Jordan Turnbull outstanding. After half time Regan Hendry got on the ball and began to dictate things in midfield and some of our passing moves were really good, particularly on the counter attack. We had been on top for about twenty minutes prior to the penalty and you could feel the goal coming.

Stevenage made five changes to try and get back into the game and there were a couple of late scrambles, but in terms of shape and pattern of play I think we were the better team and did deserve the win.

We have got six games coming up against teams in the current bottom seven, so an opportunity to cement ourselves in the top half now.

Could do better than that. Everyone in the playoffs are falling over themselves to fuck it up. Grab 13+ points from those six and you’ll be back in the thick of the chase.

I knew he'd be a shite signing, having been in similar (non football) bubbles to Hartley, you get good coin for very little work, don't blame him we all do what's best for ourselves, families etc. But he was never up to the rigours of L2. Foran is just a kid, Pruti ain't ready, he might be next season but physically he can't cope and his decision making without a proper older head next to him is really bad. Could even be argued the backline was better with Murray and Lacey in it. Dolan looks finished as well, Ferguson has never been great defensively.

It really is all about just making sure Crawley are worse than us then clearing the decks to be more competitive next year.

Harrogate must be in danger if yesterday is anything to go by. We usually struggle against a team of talentless goons but they were way beyond talentless.

They do have Miller and Lavery lol
Lavery is absolutely total gash for sure, but I always thought he had a tiny bit of value to bring on as a last resort, but as for Miller omfg where do we start?? He's one of the worst strikers I've ever seen at our club and seriously that takes some doing with what we've witnessed in recent history. Seriously no sour grapes or anything of the sort he's truly awful

I do rate Pruti, considering it's his first stab at league level footy in a struggling team he's been steady away for me just a shame the experienced head next to him isn't that good ,I can give them all a little bit of credit in the first half as the wind we were playing into was horrific at times, as Walsall found out in the second, there was all sorts of misplaced passes and unruly touches of the ball from both sides.

Everyone keeps going on about Crawley's games in hand, but they don't equate to points, they're second bottom for a reason cos they're shite like us and don't win very often, start of a tough run of games for us now, not season defining because it's so tight, scab some points here and there and we finish with a few winnables.

I see something in Pruti and I'd be happy for him to stay on next year in or around the squad, he's quite good on the ball, can tackle but it's the mental/physical side he is lacking at the minute. We needed battle hardened lower league defenders not some bloke living on a pedestal in India, two kids without much senior football experience. Shocking window in all honesty, quantity over quality as per usual under Singh

There was a spell second half where they looked semi competent but yeah they were pretty abysmal. Had a sly laugh at our fans booing when we were passing the ball across our back line. Both times it happened a minute later we scored, so go figure. Jody Morris has called them 'immature' which is ironic as its bound to have been the older generation that still want football to be played on heavy pitches and defenders to do nothing else apart from kick and head the ball as far away from our box as possible.

Talking about pitches - the CG is still an absolute carpet. Kudos to the groundsman.
