Didn’t realise Reeves was at Wimbledon, probably the most disappointing Notts signing of the last few seasons. Sounded like should dominate the National League if he could stay fit, did stay fit and was absolutely bang average then exercised his clause to piss off after a season.

He seems to be very hit and miss with his spells at clubs, been great for us and Stevenage, not so great at yours and an injury prone disaster at Bradford.
He's not the most spectacular midfielder, but is exactly what we have needed for a few seasons, a calm presence in the middle of the pitch.

Dreadful. I don’t know of one fan who doesn’t think we’ll lose. The only way we can win is if you pass up the numerous chances we will offer up.

We are capable of that to be honest.

Yeah, he wasn’t noticeably bad, just didn’t stand out at all when he’d dropped to a lower level than he’d played before. He probably joined a year too early actually and would’ve thrived in the Burchnall and Williams ultra possession teams, as a similar (albeit probably better, I think) midfielder in Matty Palmer has.

Really looking forward to Saturday anyway, don’t get many new grounds these days and AFCW feel like a team we haven’t played much, sort of crossed each other on the way up/down.

As conker says we’ve previously been wasteful with chances home and away, but we’ve won the last 3 away, but have also benefited from hopeless displays from notts county and harrogate and then against an out of sorts salford.

i must admit if someone had said after the game at yours last season on easter friday that we’d still not lost away in anything a week before opening advent calendars i’d have called for the nurse!

Looking forward to Saturday too, with a little trepidation due to the omissions but new stadium to visit, new opposition players to see and with Wimbledon station just 30 mins away from home on the train easy to get to.

Only decision is the pre match pub , know some greats ones near Wimbledon station but nothing near the ground.

Make sure you give yourself a bit more time getting into the ground than you usually would as it's a shitshow when the away end is full and don't bank on getting a pint before the second half kicks off if you go to the bar after the half time whistle.

If you go to Earlsfield station instead of Wimbledon you can go in the halfway house. It's a designated away pub. It's just outside the station. The Leather bottle in Earlsfield is a good pub but it's home supporter's only.

We went to Wimbledon Park then onto the Woodman pub, nice little venue that was.

Could do with nicking first away league win in forever. Squad looking stretched though. Good time to play us (yes I know isn’t it always thank you) - Smith suspended, probably no left back, Gape injured last night. Add on a couple of long termers and we’re stretched. Hope O’Brien rested and not injured for last night. Probably an opportunity for Angol, hope he can step up.

Correcting myself - apparently Smith not suspended for this one (misinformation went round - 1 booking was in FA Cup). That is helpful.

Accrington (h) - tough game but we’re long due a league win.

Don’t know what to expect, but I’d like to see a decent performance. Second half against Notts and the drubbing we gave Barnsley in midweek should give the lads some confidence.

Sutton at home.

If it’s anything like last year, then I’ll pass thanks.

Colchester away and a match which should be winnable, although a draw wouldn't be a disaster.
We're 3rd in the form table, but still flying under the radar.... and long may it stay that way.

The way we are playing at the moment, if a radar appeared on the horizon we would probably fly into it.

Another game, away to Walsall, where we should be looking to pick up some points...but don't we say that every week?

Ash Taylor still in the Bradford city starting XI, instead of Sam Stubbs who whatever his form, is probably a better player, and Jon Tomkinson, who I'd like to see more of.
Maybe Ash Taylor is better in a 5 man defence. He does have twice as many people to counteract his deficiencies, and i understand that he offers options from set pieces. I'm not the most savvy City fan on here, but for me Taylor has to show today that he deserves to be in the team.

Mansfield started the game really strong but never took advantage, just switched off from a free-kick and find ourselves 1-0 down.
