Well that was as shite as some of the Hurst performances so it should shut the Pearson In brigade up. Get the new manager deal done pronto please, Stockwood.

Half wishing I wasnt off to MK Dons on Tuesday now.

On one hand, defending is for absolute losers. I can’t believe some teams keep clean sheets, so boring.

On the other hand, fire Richard Brindley into the sun

Sack it off mate and come watch some Korean horrors with me.

Our game against Accrington was really low quality in the first and improved a bit in the second. Not sure what Accy's game plan was - didn't seem to offer anything overall. Stats show it was even but I thought we were value for the three points.

Thought the ref was dreadful.

We actually won, much needed as well. Closer to the playoffs than drop, what a team…
if we'd lost we'd have been 12 pts from playoffs. mamahuhu performance. big result.

It's very rarely dull.

From today and this season's perfomances I can't believe you've gone with Brindley! Madness.

Just back. Terrific game from both sides - draw would have been the fair result but it was 10 times better from us than recent capitulations. Great advert for L2 football, no nastiness, no shithousery, wanky ref mind - we had an absolutely nailed on handball in the 2nd half waved away. Stags hit the bar when it looked easier to score then we conjure up an injury time winner - you just can’t beat football sometimes!

Very deserving win, couldn’t believe Accrington were as high as they were in the league, they offered nothing all game. Other mentions, the referee as above, some mad decisions for such an experienced ref and Accrington’s away kit that looks like 5 different kits badly mashed into one.

Absolutely world class Nottsing today. All four goals a complete individual defensive howler, incredible stuff. At least it’s not boring, but there is a part of you that’s like ‘imagine if we could do a little bit of defending’. God knows what our forward line thinks about it.

I’ve also never seen a man less likely to save a penalty than Slocombe. Remember people thinking Williams thought he was Pep or something subbing him off in the last minute of the play-off final, he’d have brought me on for it rather than him if it was an option.

‘I’m off if they don’t get some proper defenders in’ if they’ve got any sense.

Wonder if Notts threw their toys out of the pram this time after they f*cked it all up in injury time, like they did at our place. At some point you need to think that maybe the problem is you.

I'm happy to talk about literally anything other than today's game, so, what yer watching? I loved I Saw The Devil, absolute classic. The Wailing too

I haven't watched anything Korean yet; I've been watching a lot of Japanese horror films lately and have only started to take an interest in Korean made stuff. The Wailing is definitely on my list and I wouldn't mind giving the Sweet Home series on Netflix a go.

Nah, we were pretty chill this time because the ref didn’t decide to call a halt to the game with us pouring forward, our ‘keeper just did a fuck up.

Did yous lot do another completely unnecessary pitch invasion for winning a game in November?

I mean, if it was because of the ref who wasn't even on the pitch when your lot started crying, why did your fans assault the linesman who gave the obvious penalty? Weird behaviour.

Can’t believe Crewe keep beefing us because some people shouted at a linesman. Didn’t even get such small time behaviour from Dover and Chorley.

No pitch invasion today, no. To be fair we wouldn't ordinarily do that, it's just that your fans were dickheads so it felt appropriate.

A win against Doncaster today where a draw was probably the fair result. The opening 35 minutes of both halves we were crap, and then just clinical when we got chances. The plus side is, we've got a side that can play below par and win, and they never ever know when to stop - back to back games we've scored injury time winners and it's a good feeling!

Got to feel for the Doncaster fans - they battled hard and had us on the ropes, then just seemed to lose any ability in the last ten minutes of both halves. Weird.
Not weird, we’ve been doing this for far too long now, didn’t deserve to lose but you can’t switch off like we do

We still remain a side who can only play well for one half. Even start first 20 mins, Dons started better but then we looked comfortable before gift No.1 from a player who is never L2 quality. Looked a pen to me. After that all the home side and very lucky to only be 2-0 down at half time thanks to a good save and missed chances. Another aided goal from Notts.

Strange Luke clearly did his work as we started the second half very well , clear handball not given and missed a good chance before Wimbledon gifted us a goal which Langstaff accepted and scored.
Then we score from a short corner with a lovely control, turn and finish from Nemane who along with Crowley were electric in that second half and gave the left hand side a nightmare. The home side went hugely into their shell.

Great save from Bass to stop us and Langstaff scoring.

Then we give a needless corner away, panic , and give a stonewall penalty away when well on top. Gift.

4th was another gift this time from Austin, after we did bulk subs that never works.

Typical Notts, can look great , play some lovely stuff , but always look like conceding against a clearly talented Wimbledon side and the replacements to key players are a huge drop off

Al-Hamadi was superb throughout a complete nightmare. Never seen him play before and was very impressed.

Entertaining game.

Great pre match pub with both sets of fans in the Leather Bottle. Nice new stadium, great away end and good noise from that section.

Good day bar the result.
Glad you got in the Leather bottle. Entertaining game !! You could've won it if it hadn't of been a great save from Bass. No doubt you have one of the best attacks in the league and probably one of the worst defences . As for us we will have a chance of making the play offs if we keep Ali Al Hamadi in January. Your manager is great . He certainly tells it how it is. A slight exaggeration when he said we could've been 6 up at half time. You'll finish in the play offs maybe top 3 if you sort the defence out.

No one had even done anything when you scored the penalty, it all happened afterwards haha. We’re just a big scalp, clearly.

I really enjoyed it, the new ground is excellent and a huge step forward from Kingsmeadow when we were last down at your place. Always a shame to lose, but really enjoyed the day, probably the most sound stewards I’ve ever seen in an away end and had some great chats with AFCW fans in the pub before and the train back. Good, friendly atmosphere and a good game of football. A complete contrast to our last away game, the way football should be.

That's how I felt too. Really good day, entertaining game that should have ended 5-3. Can't put in a first half performance like that and expect to win. Keystone Cops defending , four gifted wrapped goals and a 20 min period where Wimbledon couldn't do anything other than chop down, pull back out two wing backs to try and stem the tide.

The guy next to me said just before the first penalty kick, he'll save this. My response I've never seen him ever save a penalty. Thankfully it was an absolute beauty that even Archie Mair wouldn't have kept out.

Walked past 2/3 options before going into the leather bottle which certainly wasn't home fans only. Knew it would be good so next time will get there a lot earlier..

How’d that work out for you?

No, no, no. Do not have a go or take the Mickey out of a Stags fan predicting a victory before the game. That's even rarer than a Notts clean sheet

When you are unbeaten in late November you have every right to predict a thumping win.

I love Korean films. Definitely second The Wailing and I saw The Devil, brilliant films. Train to Busan too.

Edit: Also Kingdom and All of Us are Dead on Netflix. Both zombie tv shows.

Notts lose anytime they play anyone decent but will still get in the playoffs because there's a load of crap teams in this league who they will beat with ease.

I agree with all of that. Although that doesn't bode well if we do find ourselves in the playoffs. I said the very same thing at HT, we are flat track bullies beat Joe Average and the Piss Poor teams (you know who you are :cool1:) but a quality side who can press and who are organised we struggle against big time. Bar those 15/20 mins when we were all over them and looked fantastic it's just not long enough

Sir, we shipped five to Sutton and another five to Colchester.

Doesn’t seem to matter who we play, we just can’t do it for 90 minutes yet this season. We look unbelievably good in spells, but can’t sustain it yet. I’d be very happy with play-offs really but this might be a year early. Or it might click and we’ll go on a mad run, who knows? It’s fun.
