Expected Bristol Rovers to be doing better. I have them tipped as top 6 and the fans on here seem very positive. Early days of course but you'd think Barton might be under a bit of pressure if they remain in the bottom half after 10 games.
its still only August ffs. Nothing is won in August. Carlisle will do well and finish above PV i reckon

Just watched our highlights and looks like we actually played ok. Though Wigan were down to 10 men for most of the game to be fair.

Are you stupid, illiterate or both? In fact, don't answer that I already know.

I literally said it's very early days and to judge after maybe 10 games. I also never mentioned Vale or Carlisle. I'm not naive enough to think that Vale will stay where they are now. We look better than last season and that's enough for now.

Now, go get your uniform ironed because you've only got a week left until term starts.

you or one of your PV mates did going on about huge away followings
No we didn’t. We average above 1000 usually away which is decent for our size about 1 in 6 home fans go away which is good going but not sure where that’s come from. Can take 1 in 2/3 locally.

We’ve grown a lot, 1000 down on Reading attendance from a home point of view but bank holiday weekends usually do.

We’re growing the club which is progress after 2 decades of rot.

And even more damning when the Cheltenham fans are all over it saying that he must have been at a different game. Elliot needs results and fast.

Have to say that I don’t think it’ll make a jot of difference whether they sack Elliot or not. My 1-24 predictions were all hopeless guesswork except confidently sticking Cheltenham in 24th. Couldn’t see any quality whatsoever in their squad.

I wasn’t there but heard Orient were excellent and we were poor. No complaints about the result but disappointing to be beaten so comfortably.

Always a sign of a manager under pressure when they come out with deluded takes in the post match interviews. Have to say that, in contrast, Mark Bonner’s was absolutely first class.
Yeah Bonner’s normally pretty good at giving credit to the opposition when it’s due, as it sounds on Saturday. He doesn’t chastise our players though, just says things like “we need to be better”. It was this narrative for about six months last season!

It's a clumsy challenge that. How has the ref not seen it? We had one first half on Saturday, clear trip in the area and nothing given. If it isn't a foul then why hasn't the ref booked our player for simulation. I know it's a difficult job but they don't half make a rod for their own back.

I was the same. Once they sold May, there's zero quality in that squad.

Sweet jesus that's even more obvious than it looked at the ground. Another example of officials deciding games, but hey with Barton as manager we should be used to it by now.

Thats not a foul. Defender was entitled to try and go for it. 50/50.

Surely a joke right? there were 2 of his own players closer to the ball than him, and he completely missed and took out our player instead

There is, it's just all at the back. Luke Southwood is a quality keeper, Lewis Freestone is becoming an exceptional centre-back and Will Ferry (when fit) gets into any team in League One.

However, the moment you get forward, the quality drops like a stone. Keena hasn't shown an ounce of what he had in the second half of last season. Rob Street will be a good player if he realises his potential, but that's it. Elliott Bonds is a cracking defensive midfielder - he is 100% not an attacking midfielder, which is where he was deployed on Saturday.

We have injuries, but it's only squad players really. Big things were expected of George Lloyd, but him being for decent for Grimsby in League 2 isn't enough for us to pin all our hopes on him.

The big issue really isn't that we've lost the games we've lost, it's that we haven't even really had a go. Don't read anything into Wade seeing things no-one else does - he does it all the time to protect his players. Wade isn't in any real danger either - those calling for his head have been doing it since we lost 7-0 to Exeter in his second game in charge last season. Losing to Alvechurch in the cup made his position practically untenable, but he kept his job and we then found some form.

The football isn't great, and when you're not getting results, it looks even worse. But I have faith in Wade if we can get a decent CAM in. It sounds simplistic, of course it does, but someone to link our decent defence to an apparently ok forward line is really all that's required. Sadly, I'm not sure we'll get it.

I understand that we’re still only 5 games in so it means bugger all, but I did warn you that Rob Street was very overrated by a lot of Salop fans. I still think Keena will come good for you guys but from what it seems he’s not even getting the chances to put one or two away. Think the next week defines whether or not you stay up as a decent creative midfielder and another striker will be enough to give Cheltenham a fighting chance going into the new year.

Street's not done too badly to be fair to him. He runs for days, but he's struggling to strike up a partnership with Keena at the moment. If anything, they're too similar.

He's had our best chances in all of our games as well - the only issue is that he seems to scuff every shot.

To be fair to Barton he doesn't mention it.
Just the dry pitch, Wycombe timewasting , the day ending in a Y...

2 home games, 2 3-0 wins. Incredible. Its nice to win at home. We are such a hard working team. For all Blackpools possession, they very rarely got in behind our backline. Mainly left them to shoot from range and they were dreadful at that.i cant remember many attempts on target.

Our 2 pens were defo pens, but saw the game out with ease with them going down to 10.

Blackpool good on the ball, just couldnt break us down. Edit: forgot to mention all Blackpool seem to do was try the long diagonal to Hamilton/ their no. 18 time and time again. Sometimes it worked, but we were very wise to it.
My last 5 visits to Sincil Bank have seen us win all 5 scoring 12 and conceding just 2 .
Erhahon is just a cut above, never flustered, always time on the ball

Not a bad record at all!

I still don't know how we have him. He very rarely makes a mistake, mr dependable and the team just ticks around him. He'll be gone next summer for sure!
