That half of football was about as dominant as you can get at this level. Outstanding stuff aside from the complacency in midfield for the Hartlepool goal. Think the foul for our penalty started just outside the box, but the ref made up for it by not giving a stonewall one just before Pools went up the other end and scored. Just got to concentrate and kill this game off because we look the better side by a couple of divisions.
Don't disagree and while Orient have a decent team, you're not that good just we are nowhere near competing against anyone. Not fit enough, no desire, chopping and changing every game, poor players, poor owners, horrendous manager. Someone just needs to turn the light off really.

I see you have signed Thierry Nevers. Seen him play for Hammers u23 a couple of times and thought he looked a prospect.

Where is he being played?

Casey
Up top with Bogle, just subbed off. He came in on loan after the Salford debacle, looks quality as does Moriah-Welsh, loaned in from Bournemouth.

Game killed off.

Sigh. We have been unbelievably arrogant this game with our selfishness in the final third and complacency in the middle of the park. Could/should be 7-1 and instead we’ve contrived to make the game close. Typical bleedin’ Leyton Orient.

Play 2 up front instead of a target man up top on his own and we score 2 who'd have thought it?

Yeah, we’re not amazing. When I said there were two clear divisions between us, I meant that outside of Sterry you’ve got a Conference North side.

We get ourselves back in the game with a deserved goal, and go and concede immediately after. Clough to blame for this, he’s fucked up messing around with our midfield.

So Sutton are officially a bogey team now, we are officially wank away from home and Clough had a mare for dropping our best midfielders.

Won all three at home and lost all three away, he’s got to work out why we are so shit away from home and sort it out or we won’t be doing nowt this season.

Won 1-0 at Wombles who were much better 2nd half - P6 W5 who would have though :woo:

Wombles had Paris Maghoma sent off for dissent after the final whistle..

Gritty home win vs the mighty Mansfield. Bodes well and signs are we’ll be ok despite the long term loss of Goodliffe through injury and Ajiboye after his sale to Posh.

Tope Fadahunsi, plucked from very non league Loughborough, now has 2 home winners in very few minutes - way to make yourself popular. Lovely story for a local lad and he is enjoying every bit of his opportunity.

The manager wants to add a forward, goalkeeper and centre half before the deadline. A bit of extra quality upfront could make all the difference (but there’s likely 18 other teams saying the same).

7 points from a possible 9 at home. Gander Green Lane is an intimidating fortress once more

1-0 at Northampton and deserved on the second half performance. Things are starting to gel and we’ve still got 6 first team players out

We're ahead!

I need a lie down as we have had more shots than the opposition.

Casey
Should have known it couldn't last.

Ended 1-1 and Dale had 3 times as many shots on goal as we did.

Get a draw at your relegation rivals is fine and dandy except we were told it was a play off push this season

Not there so I can't really comment but it's fair to say we need to attack more.

Yep it was a bit like when you pull a cup tie against lower division oppo who clearly don't have it in them to trouble you and the only way they'd get something is if the higher team get cocky and that exactly what it was like today.

Not bother with a long winded rant but I will just say we are complete embarrassment and nothing will improve unless it changes at ownership level.

Quite possibly one of the dullest and slowest football matches I've ever watched. Both sides could play until Christmas and it'd still be 0-0. Scott banks hit the bar and had another decent chance that their goalkeeper saved, but that was it. Really disappointing result and performance.

Comfortable win for the Os, top of the league!

Surprised Mansfield couldn't pull off a giant killing in their game...

1 up, 5 minutes to go, opposition down to 10 men.

Then perform like a right bunch of pansies. All piss and panic. This one is down to the manager - 100%. Had a midfielder playing RB getting targeted time and time again. He brings on a RB but plays him on the wing leaving poor old Darcy in the firing line.

The bloke is a twat.

The amount of players we have who must give the ball away 7 or 8 times out of 10 is unreal.

It’s not hard to work out how we’re losing away with selections like that - like what the fuck?

I’d be expecting him to be giving an explanation for that as it’s simply not acceptable.

No quibble with the result, we basically beat ourselves.

Well it was a poor performance from us, but defended quite well and got a scrappy 3 points to end our dismal winless run.

The result is the main thing.

To say we haven’t been scoring many is an understatement!
We have scored one goal in five league games so far.
If anyone scores, they win.
As I said.
That’s now 1 goal in six league games and 441 minutes since our last goal.
Needs sorting now or we will be in the brown stuff.

We should've won by at least 3 goals I thought, from our perspective we keep giving the ball away cheaply pissing about with it in midfield and at the back and today Hartlepool despite how poor they were, punished us twice and made the game alot closer than it should've been.

The same thing happened at Colchester last week, we seem to become lazy playing against the weaker sides when they have long spells in the game without hurting us and we're leading.

The ref Declan Bourne, I can see why he has a reputation for being crap. Our penalty I thought was outside the box, he denied Paul Smyth a clear penalty shortly before Hartlepool scored and got a few of the 50/50s wrong. A few people thought the Hartlepool first goal should've been ruled out for offside when the cross came in, but I thought it was onside.

Hartlepool are in for a long a season and despite the odd threat on the attack through Hastie and Umerah, they gave the ball away cheaply alot and seemed disorganised at the back. The #5 Euan Murray I thought was shocking, Kelman ran past him so many times and had him on the back foot. I can only see Hartley leaving before the end of the year, what they was doing just didn't seem to work.

Despite being frustrated by our performance at times, its pleasing to see we can deal with set backs and still managed to kill the game off. Good to see Ruel Sotiriou come on and score, we've got a stronger bench now which is going to help us.

Giving the ball away far too cheaply like us by any chance?

Like Katie Price on a Saturday night.

We're just very slow at the moment. Have lots of the ball but it's never in good areas. Just passing it around the back, then out to the full-back, and then rinse and repeat. There's zero imagination and creativity in our play. Set pieces and crosses are poor too. Maybe we'll come good but it's just very frustrating watching us at the moment. Far too safe,

Gutting way to lose a match. I suppose we've had so many late goals in our favour this season that it was probably only going to be a matter of time for us to be on the receiving end of a late one.

Evenly matched game and we probably deserved a point for our efforts but we certainly didn't do enough to win. Salford had a lot more of the ball, but didn't really work our keeper too much. We were playing on the counter and had one or two decent openings, just didn't quite have enough quality to capitalise on the opportunities when they fell our well.

Last 15 or 20 minutes Salford started to get a better grip on the game, we had introduced Dean Campbell for Jordan Roberts on the hour mark, and I felt we missed Roberts presence during that period. Their goal came right on the 90th minute mark, build up was a lot like the previous 15 or so minutes, we found ourselves under pressure, we were getting a toe in here and a block in there, unfortunately the ball ran perfectly for Ryan Watson who smashed it in from the edge of the box.

Another disappointment was Danny Rose going off injured again. Second league match in a row that he's had to be subbed early with an injury, not sure if it's a re-occuring problem or whether it's a different injury, hope he's not out for long either way.
