As I said.
That’s now 1 goal in six league games and 441 minutes since our last goal.
Needs sorting now or we will be in the brown stuff.
Gills v Crawley could be a good game...to avoid!

We've already got more than a third of the points we got in the entire last season. This isn't a fluke, we're actually quite good.

It’s not hard to work out how we’re losing away with selections like that - like what the fuck?

I’d be expecting him to be giving an explanation for that as it’s simply not acceptable.

No quibble with the result, we basically beat ourselves.

I think Sutton probably deserved the victory, but the defending was abysmal.

The problem is Clough is willing to unfairly drop players to fit in his favourites and new signings. Playing Hartigan in front of Maris is criminal. Unfortunately we probably won’t get any sort of justifcation for team selection because nobody will ask him.

Stockport County.
1 up, 5 minutes to go, opposition down to 10 men.

Then perform like a right bunch of pansies. All piss and panic. This one is down to the manager - 100%. Had a midfielder playing RB getting targeted time and time again. He brings on a RB but plays him on the wing leaving poor old Darcy in the firing line.

The bloke is a twat.
Thought you shaded it, poor game though we're a mid table team at best the way we're playing since coming up to this level. And yeah, you managed the game badly with the man advantage.

Poor discipline from us. Lots to work on, there is 0 pace in our team at all.

That half of football was about as dominant as you can get at this level. Outstanding stuff aside from the complacency in midfield for the Hartlepool goal. Think the foul for our penalty started just outside the box, but the ref made up for it by not giving a stonewall one just before Pools went up the other end and scored. Just got to concentrate and kill this game off because we look the better side by a couple of divisions.
Yup.
Your a decent League 2 side,we’re National League North at best.

We should've won by at least 3 goals I thought, from our perspective we keep giving the ball away cheaply pissing about with it in midfield and at the back and today Hartlepool despite how poor they were, punished us twice and made the game alot closer than it should've been.

The same thing happened at Colchester last week, we seem to become lazy playing against the weaker sides when they have long spells in the game without hurting us and we're leading.

The ref Declan Bourne, I can see why he has a reputation for being crap. Our penalty I thought was outside the box, he denied Paul Smyth a clear penalty shortly before Hartlepool scored and got a few of the 50/50s wrong. A few people thought the Hartlepool first goal should've been ruled out for offside when the cross came in, but I thought it was onside.

Hartlepool are in for a long a season and despite the odd threat on the attack through Hastie and Umerah, they gave the ball away cheaply alot and seemed disorganised at the back. The #5 Euan Murray I thought was shocking, Kelman ran past him so many times and had him on the back foot. I can only see Hartley leaving before the end of the year, what they was doing just didn't seem to work.

Despite being frustrated by our performance at times, its pleasing to see we can deal with set backs and still managed to kill the game off. Good to see Ruel Sotiriou come on and score, we've got a stronger bench now which is going to help us.

Couldn’t agree more. Occasionally exhilarating, often frustrating. So irritated with our complacency and arrogant decision-making in the final third. Archibald, Smyth, Moncur and - particularly - Kelman all guilty of piss-poor selfishness at times. El Mizouni was outstanding all match.

Pools are in big, big trouble on that evidence. Umerah very combative but looked incredibly unrefined. Needs to stop relying on shirt-pulling and learn how to use his considerable bulk as leverage instead. Wes McDonald barely got into the game and Jake Hastie is all hard running and very little quality. The formation seemed to stunt your best player (Sterry) and the centre backs were absolutely slaughtered all game. Could have been any number of goals were it not for a combination of our lack of ruthlessness and some good stops from Killip.

In theory a forward line of Adelakun, Green, Mandron, Olly Lee, Kashket and even Lewis Walker should be able to score at least one between them per game in League Two.

As it is, only Kashket has scored in the league, and he was offside doing so which we got away with.

If we can get someone in to score a few goals we will be comfortable mid table probably even in the play off picture towards March, April time, if we don't we will be upper bottom half pushing mid table but probably constantly have that fear that a bad run will have us looking over our shoulders.

Well it was a poor performance from us, but defended quite well and got a scrappy 3 points to end our dismal winless run.

The result is the main thing.

Umerah had a poor game but he is a good player

Hartley chooses a new formation every game and none of them bring out the best in Sterry or Ferguson who had an absolute mare. He keeps playing wingers in front of the wing backs. He also played 4 at the back and we have been exposed before in that setup. It's 532 if we want to get double figures for points this season.

There's so much wrong with the side but the lack of desire, unity and fitness are the biggest ones for me. If you've got no quality then you need to back each other up and at least compete so not only are we stuck with shit players they also don't want to play together.

Hastie will get picked even if he loses a leg, Featherstone sorry to say isn't up to it any more, Lacey and Murray are a horrendous partnership in fact there's not one single thing I can say we can build on

Didn’t put myself through today thank god but from everything I’ve heard from some friends who went, an utter shit show again.

Can’t see Hartley being around long, the change of formation every game, and some of the choices in the starting line up just show that he doesn’t know his arse from his elbow.

Recruitment has been a shambles so I feel for whoever ends up with the job once Hartley is gone.

Comfortable enough win for Rovers against a fairly toothless Colchester side. Great for Jake Burton, recalled from Marine, getting his first FL goal to make the points safe.

Utter cack again getting fed up already.
We didn't turn up until half-time, your lot should have been 3 or 4 up; but like all the other sides down here there was no composure in front of goal and you wasted your chances. Our changes worked and we grew into the game more, but you still had a great one on one when you should have scored. My first ever win in Walsall, thanks.

Solid. Played middle of a back 3, won his headers, made some important blocks, seemed to be captaining the team without the armband telling the younger lads where to be etc, always talking. His distribution was a bit off but I’ll put that down to it being his first game in however long.

Went off on 70 minutes, but would expect he’ll do the full 90 next week.

Nah, don't, his distribution is awful.

Just let him defend.

Donny looked good yesterday. Deserved to win based on the second half, we looked a bit toothless although Hylton missed a sitter to get a point in injury time.

Comment on the ref (again), it seems they’ve all ignored this new directive to let the game flow? Every little fucking thing in Donny’s favour he stopped the game for. Clearly wasn’t a confident ref as he waved away free kick/penalty appeals at least 4 times before then immediately changing his mind.

Boring game, we were powderpuff and Crewe had little interest in leaving their own half. I thought football was supposed to be entertainment business, try tell both sets of players that…

Our game was 2 mid tables sides with the occasional bit of skill. As with a lot of teams I think we’ll be a lot better with a proper No. 9. 3 or 4 of the new signings look decent, others look utter dog shit. Adeloye, who we paid money for from Ayr, seems bereft of any redeeming features as far as football goes.

After a bit of a shaky start it looks like we are getting it together, that's 3 wins in a week and playing some lovely football the defence is still a little suspect but yesterday's clean sheet will do them the world of good, mariah-welsh and wait have brought a bit of class and stability to the midfield and up top the partnership of bogle and nevers looks really good, that's 5 goals in 6 games for bogle and nevers is a very clever and classy player I can see why West hams fans have been on our Facebook page raving about him, on to next week now with a tough game at home to grimsby,

Masterstroke by Pools that, widely criticized by our experts from the stands for being 'lazy' and has now scored more goals on his own than Pools combined!

Bogle is highly replaceable but we've just brought in worse players. Same with Holohan, you could easily get better quality than him at this level but we really miss his work rate and forward runs. Bogle up with Umerah I think would work but it is what it is. Half those players couldn't wait to get out the door.

Really hope we can get Dion back next week to add a bit of flair and excitement to games. Be a big lift for the Walsall game.

Great result for us. Delighted for Harry Clifton too, has his doubters constantly sometimes justified but often not. If we take anything from Newport it'll have been a great couple of away matches back to back.

Agree on Holohan being replaceable at this level but I think you lot did him a disservice when we signed him saying he's not good enough for L2 as he quite clearly is going off our start. Admittedly we're not many games in so that could change.

I’m not overly bothered by stats, but if their manager wants to make silly comments at least make sure they back you up. We dominated in every stat except the one that matters which obviously neither team did. The reality is both teams were shit, I find it embarrassing when professionals are happy with that but fair enough. Suppose we should take it as a compliment if a team comes to VP to park the bus and then says it’s their best performance of the season. Going to Crewe games must be even duller than ours if that’s the case.
