just looking for more of the same from vale. we've had a week off and so hopefully the condition of the squad will be improved. Pope played an hour in a reserve game mid week so he will be on the bench any game now i would think.

eased a pressure with 2 wins but it would be nice to capitalise on the momentum and get safe as soon as possible, though we still struggle to convert chances.

A week off to refresh after our win over Forest Green and time spent on the training ground is vital for the remaining games. I'm cautiously confident about Saturday but surely this run of Carlisle's cannot continue. Let's hope it does for another week anyway.

I'm going for a tight 1-0 win.

A draw probably wouldn't be a bad result.

Need to be winning this after winning yesterday and playing a team with very bad form.

If not last night was just a waste. It's the hope that kills you.

I feel fairly confident that we'll get a win here, but it's what come's after that looks grim. I hadn't really been looking our run in, as I was waiting for Barrow to essentially relegate us last night, but of course I've been sucked right back in.

Walsall (h)
Salford (a)
Cheltenham (h)
Bradford (a)
Bolton (h)
Morecambe (h)
Oldham (a)
Exeter (a)
Port Vale (h)
Cambridge (a)

Savage run there. If we stay up then it really will have been a miraculous escape.

That form guide can't be right, Carlisle aren't 24th.

Apart from Bolton on their current form, none scare me that much, every game I watched this season has been pretty poor and anyone can beat anyone.

We are just the worst of the lot, if we put a run together of 3 or 4 wins, I reckon we would have enough confidence to escape with 2 or 3 more wins out of the last 7. I just have no confidence we will win Sat, never mind win 4 in a row, and whether even 45/46 points would be enough

Crawley is a happy hunting ground but also aware that run can’t keep going!

We’ve been excellent the last two games with the injuries clearing up to key players that have hampered us for months and a week off after Manny and Monty played twice in three days hopefully will mean they are in good shape.

Crawley are an odd one, they seem to have good spells followed by bad, three decent wins recently then a couple of poor results where you’d expect them to do well so hopefully we can keep going, point wouldn’t be the end of the world, a win and results elsewhere would have us probably about safe.

The Pontiff looks to be the latest big return after 3 months out with his return in the Hereford friendly on Monday so hopefully can add more threat than Guthrie and Robinson! Pope and Dave up top might work well.

Heart says tight 2-1 win, head says draw would be a decent result 1-1 Rodney and Wright (he always scores against us!)

Can his brother play left back against Rodney please!

I would have thought you would like to have Archie Davies at right back as in the first game of this season . Rodney ripped him a new one in that game as you won it 2-0 and looked good for a promotion challenge. At Barrow Yems decided a 37 year old centre back (Tony Craig) was a choice to play left back. If he is up against Rodney it could be carnage!

We are a lower table team that has played above itself this season. Get stuck into us and we can't handle it and start to give away silly goals (I get into trouble with my views on this team). What we have got is Nadesan who will stretch your defence and Nichols who (stat on twatter) has the most assists in league 2 this season.

Port Vale nearly always beat us. Hoping for a 1-1 this time. Our goal from Maguire-Drew.

All bets are off if Craig is left back or Josh Wright means we play with ten men.

I honestly think you'll beat us. This isn't a "Cheltenham are pants" comment, that would be crazy given we're 3 points clear at the top, but our performances against teams at the bottom has been little short of embarrassing.

I genuinely see us getting good results at Morecambe and then next Friday at home to Tranmere, before embarrassing ourselves on Easter Monday. It's just how we roll.

It actually seems like run ins won't really matter. There's only Harrogate odds on again at weekend. So bookies think no one else has over 50% chance of winning.

Probably comes down to style clashes etc on which games teams win and lose.

He’s everything I said and less, huh.
Yep !

And we've given him a two year contract...in Yems we ...er...hmm.

Maguire-Drew is better but has a tendency to have a brain freeze and dither on the ball occasionally . He also looks slow over the first ten yards but his delivery and willingness to work should see him have a long career.

It can and it will until the end of the season. We're not the same team from the first half of the season, we're not even the same team who you beat 3-0 on the opening day but who showed a few signs of having decent players.

Under Clarke we tend to high press which worked for us last season but Askey stopped doing it for some reason this year.

Rodders did give him trouble although tighter pitch so not going to be as easy!

You'll be pleased to hear I have calmed down on this topic and the official line from the Grimsby camp is that teams are allowed to once again say we will probably best them now that we've won a game.

Checks the table, thought I'd missed a Cheltenham win somewhere.

A quick look on your forum suggest we should win convincingly but anything can happen in this league. By the way why didn't Jack Iredale get much game time with you? He's been excellent for us, playing left wing and left back.

He was in our first team for most of the season, until we signed Nick Anderton, but wasn't that well liked by fans.

Would probably be a better player for us to have now but in a team battling relegation his defensive frailties just made him look like a weak link.

He’s certainly better going forward than defending or being an out and out left back. He’s got 4 goals for us this season and been excellent when called upon. Good versatile player to have in the squad and got a lovely left foot.

Think we'll smash Bolton at the weekend, not drop another point for the rest of the season and sail blithely into League One as champions. Nurse, the screens.
