It has become more frequent that clubs these days have dedicated supporters who regularly make a PODCAST.
FGR have two regular podcasters including the one below by two crazy Americans who live in New York. Their infectious enthusiasm for the club is second to none.
One of the reason their podcasts stand out is that they have other club podcasters to participate.
On this podcast they had 'Tom from Lion of Vienna Suite' [ 26 min 22 secs ] offering Bolton's view for upcoming game. :2thumb:

'Pod on Top of the Hill' is the another regular one by FGR fans.
They claim: "A Forest Green Rovers podcast hosted by fans and Sports Journalism students Ollie Smith and Laurie Martin. For the fans, by the fans."
Obviously being hosted by potential journalists it is very factually informative.
On the podcast below Alex from 'The Burnden Way' has been invited to talk about Bolton. [26 minutes into podcast].
Alex speaks well and offers much information about Bolton from their strengths and weaknesses.
Recommended.

I think if we lose, there is basically no way we finish above Forest Green. Win and the odds for top 3 will swing, and I'd assume FG would drop out the 3 favourites.

We're performing way better than our season average and they're currently doing worse than theirs. If we play like we did against Cambridge I think we win, play like against Port Vale and Walsall and I'm not confident.
100% agree

Expecting a toughie tomorrow . Mansfield tend to save their better performances for games against the top teams. Baldy Keith said in his after match interview against Colchester he should have a few more players available for Saturday so hopefully Woollery and Ray will back (Woollery needed a break as he has looked out of sorts the last couple of games). Oh and you Mansfield fans who have not seen Otis Kahn play at right back might be shocked to learn that he has taken to it like a duck to water and gave a MOM performance playing there at Wembley. I hoping for a win obviously but it will be close and I won`t be surprised to see another draw. But there again I`m hoping for one of those at the New Lawn but I`d take a Forest Green win to halt Bolton`s good run.

Shoddy may have lost interest in the CUFC League (only to be expected I'm afraid - he always does this once his lot have no chance of winning it) but the good news is I haven't. Some might say tomorrow's match between Carlisle and the U's is a dead rubber but I disagree as a win for the Cumbrians will see them leapfrog the Ewes and at least not finish bottom of the league.

Here's this season's results -

Cantebrigge 3 Caer Luel 0
Caer Luel 3 Colenceaster 2
Cantebrigge 2 Colenceaster 1
Colenceaster 1 Cantebrigge 1
Colenceaster 2 Caer Luel 1

And here's the table -

Cantebrigge PL3 W2 D1 L0 F6 A2 Pts 7
Colenceaster PL4 W1 D1 L2 F6 A7 Pts 4
Caer Luel PL3 W1 D0 L2 F4 A7 Pts 3

We've only gone and won the title again :woo:

PS - Apparently the Roman name for Carlisle was Lugovallium. I think it's rather interesting that the chaps foresaw the future and named the town after a well known tranquilising drug.

I wonder if masi will be along telling us that Bolton's name in Roman times was Casterviagara...because they used to be hard up?

No Bolton was not formed until nearly 1200 years after the Romans/Vikings/Ghengis Khan and The French had finished Conquering and Pillaging places like Exeter. Interbreeding resulted in the Devon man having 6 fingers and webbed feet

We don’t really have a decent squad anymore, not even close to what Tranmere have to be honest, the only thing that doesn’t need significantly improving is the midfield, we’ve still got some good players but it’s lacking in depth and especially in strikers that score goals.

You are right though, we tend to put in good performances against teams near the top although it’s been more at home recently.
Yes, I would have been even more nervous about tomorrow if you still had Cook and Maynard.

I think its a rare pokemon you can catch whilst out and about.
I will have to send an email to the History Channel asking why they have neglected to mention the time Genghis Khan invaded Exeter. We need to know more about it. How did he get there without going through most of western Europe being the first thing to explain. Did he have access to some early form of flight that was forgotten? Were the Mongol hordes masters of tunnelling? Important knowledge.

Seen as our Championship charge is over due to injuries and Covid ravaging the squad at the same time and at the wrong time of the season, I'll take an interest in the L2 promotion contenders today.

Do FGR still drop a bollock every game trying to play out from the back? How's Whitehouse done this season? Is Gilks playing for Bolton? Will Maddison oversleep and miss out on the match day squad again?

Given the probability of a Carlisle win is somewhere between 0% and 0% I'd say dead rubber is about accurate.

Slightly strange that Isgrove doesn’t start. Gone for young Thomason. Wonder if that means 451 instead of 4231. Delf and Dapo on the wings. Gk on the bench for us for pretty much the first time this season. No elbouzedi on the bench and he looked good in a couple of cameos.

Good good team out today...........Thomason in for isgrove, but its the bench that looks strong...Keeper in for the first time this season. Jenson [loan Burnley] Maddison back in favour after impressing in training.
FGR will be blowing second half with this team.........

You think he’s playing Thomason purely to help in possession? Wonder if it will help get Dapo and delf closer to Doyle

Various things really over the last month or so. Covid is back in the camp this week and those who had Covid back in January time visibly haven't fully recovered and are struggling still. Lots of long term injuries all at once has taken the spine of the team and experience out the squad. We're missing our top scorer, most creative player, Bridcutt went off injured again last night, one available CB (who's had Covid), no available strikers, players covering other positions, having to play January signings too early, a low average age (I'm guessing 20 last night because when Bridcutt went off our oldest player was 24). All gone to shit really quickly.

We could have coped without two or so out every week but it's all hit at once. Bit deflating really because we genuinely would have been very close to getting over the line this season, we've been excellent and still have Hull and Posh to play as well after Sunderland last week.

The pitch looks in great nick yet is narrow I have a feeling he has changed the formation slightly and gone 4/3/3
Thomason i feel may drop deep when we defend but will link when we are attacking

Yeah it’s probably the best condition of an away pitch I’ve seen this season. Wonder if he’s put a gk on the bench as it’s on sky and doesn’t want to look like a tit if Gilks gets injured.
