The penultimate weekend of regular season action in League 2 then. Nervous?

AFCW v Tranmere
Carlisle v Salford
Crawley v Walsall
Crewe v Swindon
Doncaster v Colchester
Gillingham v Newport
Hartlepool v Barrow
Orient v Stockport
Mansfield v Harrogate
Northampton v Bradford
Rochdale v Sutton
Stevenage v Grimsby

Carlisle v Salford a big game in the play off race, you’d expect Mansfield to pick up 3 against Harrogate (on paper) so a positive result definitely needed for Salford. Carlisle still with a sniff of automatic promotion so a win required themselves.

Stockport have a tough task heading to Orient who had obviously sobered up by Tuesday night, but again a win required for them.

For ourselves and Stevenage, promotion is sealed with wins against Bradford and Grimsby respectively, but I’d rather have Stevenage’s fixture there.

Expect Bradford to come to Sixfields and have a go, think Cook may get some joy against our patched up defence. I’ll go for a nervy 1-1, but Stockport also drawing to mean promotion is secured.

Some spectacular dead rubbers in that list, looking forward to our game though and the home ends are selling extremely well

Hope Hartlepool’s directors box is big enough for dancing - just in case Salford grab a goal.

We can avoid a lot of phone checking by ensuring we get a win on Saturday and not relying on other results. I would rather not have to go to the last game of the season needing to get a result. With Bradford needing the points also can see a nervy game in what should be a great atmosphere.

A nervy 1-1 and a lot of waiting at full time to see what else is happening.

I know I shouldn’t do the old ‘crowds’ things but to read there on the Carlisle posts Salford have sold about 200 tickets for Saturday………..200 for a must win game end of season which is a 2 hour journey.

I mean that is absolutely f*cking pathetic, why is this club here that is clearly well above its level.

You’ll most likely be in the covered side stand, any more that you might sell will have the freedom of the scaffolding. As it happens the weather’s looking rather nice for Saturday, may even get to 20C

I said weeks ago that our list of upcoming games against teams with nothing to play for should work in our favour but instead we’ve turned up petrified against sides relaxed and playing with freedom, hopefully the nerves are shared on Saturday. I can’t see us winning.

It would be a lot less if our directors weren't going as well

Going to be a sunny, warm day in East London. I am going to imbibe a lot of alcohol. Imagine we’ll want to avoid defeat at least before lifting the trophy, so the first team will be out there. Sure that Stockport will bring 1,200+. Looking forward to it.

Only if we don't win would you secure promotion with a draw.

If you draw and we win then there's still potential for us to overtake you on the final day via goal difference.

A draw would also mean that Bradford could still pass you as well with 9 points.

Very unlikely but it would still be a slight possibility.

Cobblers to freeze like they did against us at Wembley 2013.

Cookiemonster to show why he should have been player of the year over Hoskins

I’ve been enjoying the Bradford fans recently, mainly on Twitter it has to be said.

‘If we just win 5 from 5 it’s in our hands we’re up!’
*Swindon 1-0 Bradford*
‘Autos gone, pathetic! Although if we just win 4 from 4…’
Bradford 2-2 Gills
‘Autos gone, pathetic! Although if we can win 3/3, pressure is all on Northampton…’

I mean who knows what’ll happen Saturday but Bradford fans have been pretty bipolar recently :bg:

D'oh! Obviously!

I had the 81 points in my mind. The 1 can come against Tranmere and the defeat against Bradford.

My point was, be careful tempting fate by saying a draw would be enough. Missing out on goal difference again wouldn't be pretty.

For us we need to get those 3 points against Salford to secure our playoff spot and then hope that one or both of Northampton & Stevenage drop points.

I've got a feeling that one of you will slip. Though that might be more wishful thinking than actual reasoning!

Any sort of minor chance of automatics going into the final day would at least make the day interesting and you never know, stranger things have happened.

After all, we have history of pulling off the unexpected on the date of May the 8th.

Think Northampton will beat us but reckon we'll beat Crewe and Orient. Northampton a good side from what I saw earlier in the season.

Does it seem like he will stay into next season or will you get rid soon?
Every Rovers fan wants him gone, the football is non existent never mind that his form since taking charge is bottom of the table, the whole thing is life sucking so you would think at the end of the season he’d be gone but all the talk coming out of the club is that he will be given more cash to spend than our previous 3 had put together, he’s talking about bringing in 10/11 players, god knows we need them but I wouldn’t trust him with my weekly shop. In short if he isn’t sacked at the end of the season we will be the best bet for relegation

6 of the team that started that day are out for the season unfortunately! Think Cook will get some joy as we don’t have a really dominant centre half currently. Armstrong from Harrogate certainly won a fair bit on Saturday.

If Wellens and the team do this properly, then we shouldn't lose the game at the very least. Wellens already stated he was annoyed we celebrated promotion with a loss and doesn't want to lift the trophy Saturday losing too, we also have a long unbeaten home record which would be nice to be kept going.

Changes were made Tuesday and I'd imagne we'll be alot closer to our best XI on Saturday with Beckles, Hunt, Pratley, El Mizouni and Hopefully Vigouroux returning.

Stockport have to win and hope from favours elsewhere so expecting them to give it a go and make it a good game.

Stockport fans should be aware that there is no central line to Leyton on the tube Saturday - So you'll have to walk or get the bus from Stratford instead.

For once it would be great if someone else could freeze on their big day and for us to take advantage.

We need to start full throttle and get an early goal to dampen the atmosphere a bit and get the nerves going.
