He does make a good point.
What good point does he make?

That he comes on here 'win lose or draw' to post this kind of bile to someone?:
fuck off you brain dead prick

I also posted on here throughout yesterday's game (My last two posts being at 4.26pm & 4.54pm) as well - so that obviously wasn't the 'good point' you were referring to, so it must have been the aforementioned..

Not quite sure why you'd want to praise that kind of language/post, or why the mods have even kept it up..

I hit the ignore button for the bolton supporter about a week or so ago, and it has made reading this forum a much easier and more pleasant experience.

I'm not so sure anything changed yesterday other than the opposition so time will tell.

We need a good run up until New Year for him to be able to say he's turned it around.

First half we were awful. Start to finish. Just awful! Should have been 2 or 3 more goals from Mansfield.

Brought Watters on the start of the second half and we played for fifteen-twenty minutes. Scored three goals. Mansfield keeper made a blinding save. Went back to sleep again. Mansfield from being down and out suddenly thought "we can get something here" and proceeded to batter us.

Crawley's subs (after Watters) succeeded in making our poor midfield even worse. Jack Powell had been strolling around giving the ball away all afternoon was left on while Dannie Bulman who was tracking back, getting stuck in and generally doing OK was subbed. Worse, his replacement Matthews flitted around like a fairy in a woodland glade, very pretty but essentially useless. Nichols was replaced by McNerney to waste time and he stood in the middle of the park confusing everyone which meant Cook had time to volley in from twenty five yards.

If you see the highlights there are some good goals, one good save and a Mansfield midfielder has a miss of the season moment.

We need some better midfielders and a way to get Watters fit enough to play a whole game. He was in trouble after 75 minutes. He on come on at 45...scored two goals though.

Casey

Cannot really argue with any of that.

I feel for Crawley first our goalkeeper made a clumsy run off the line mistake, he’s a great shot stopper but he’s too prone with mistakes and I think Clough might have to drop him now.

Despite having to score two late goals to get a point I’m still disappointed because we probably should have had the game wrapped up at half time!

Very amusing indeed. Reminded me of the Vale Commentry against Tranmere to a slightly lesser degree.
Terrific win for Vale that, will do wonders for your players confidence.
Our commentators generally waffle on about wrestling and spent half of yesterday moaning that Bolton didn’t provide tea facilities! Spent half of our excellent win at Exeter talking about the house party going on behind the houses oppos

Or if we are lucky and get Sproson bias towards his client Crookes and loads of negativity so much so Clark called him out after Tranmere!

They were fairly complimentary about Tranmere in fairness. Unhappy with the referee though!

I do wish Bowers would concentrate more on what's happening on the pitch than talking about WWE or some shit like that. It's not so bad while the games are streamed on iFollow as can see the action but he used to do it when it was just radio commentary too. The other thing that seeing the games on the streams as well is exposing its not always as they are describing it either when they actually do.

Vale commentaries on Radio Stoke not been the same since Mumbling Mick stopped being the summariser. Think Adam Yates did well in that role yesterday it must be said. As for Sproson it's amazed me the club hasn't sent word to Radio Stoke to get the message for him to knock it off, I would say or get Crookes to do it but he doesn't strike me as the sort of person to tell him him to shut it.

I’ve been listening to the home teams commentary’s all season as I’ve only recently discovered that there is an away commentary facility on ifollow! Of course commentary is always going to be biased, Harrogates drove me up the wall. Port Vales was hilarious from a Tranmere POV, whilst Salford’s is the least biased I’ve heard.

I had our passionate one on yesterday as the goals went in but sounded like the Bolton one as per the clips were very disrespectful of the opposition, love the bit about not remembering the last time we beat them... bet they can’t the likes of Oldham, Cambridge and Morecambe either!

To be fair I expected us to park the bus second half (which with how they were defending would have been criminal!)

Cullerton just made you think il stay at home rather than go the game, so negative about the club, Sproson is about the same but does make out his clients are outstanding and Crookes has been poor.

Yates was good yesterday, thought Purkiss and Griff were decent pundits too in recent weeks. Don’t mind Baggers either.

Never really listen to other commentary as only interested in ours, in pre season we played Blackpool and they did it jointly, their guy made out they were like Brazil all the time! Like Pete Morse on steroids.

Our IFollow commentary team can be a bit exasperating spent a good 5 minutes on Morgan Ferrier’s latest hairdo for example. Most home games have Rovers legend Dave Higgins, who feels like he kicks very ball and offers some good insight too.

On Stagsnet there has been an eleven page thread criticising and praising our iFollow commentary. Personally I think they have a difficult job as they have to commentate to both a tv and radio audience at the same time.
Additional a lot of the time they sit on the other side to the ground to the camera position.
They are genuine supporters who do the commentary for free and I regard them as good mates but I still feel they do a very good job.

i had listened to Tranmere's as I can't really stand Blakeman and Sprosen who were doing ours that day if i remember correctly.

It was ok up until the red card. After that, biased doesn't even cover it. They were screaming when the Tranmere goals were scored and they were changing their mind on ref decisions based on how the comeback was progressing. they even commented at one point about radio stoke turning around to look at them when they were cheering.

Exeter's commentary was very good.

Oldham have this old guy - roy or ray, can't remember which, he was absolutely insane in a hilarious way. The guy could not tell the time. 5-6 times in the game he would something like "quarter of an hour gone" and there'd been 25 minutes gone, or "5 minutes left until half time" in the 35th minute.

It's quite a good feature i find.

I'm glad you like our commentary cause our own fans despise it

Ah Roy....... an aquired taste. He's been with the club forever it seems, he's seen it all, the old Jimmy Frizzell days and then the fantastic Joe Royle era, premier league, cup finals, semi finals and now the current era.
He likes to tell a story and i think he forgets hes commentating lol

We had someone similar at FGR. Bob HUNT is/was legendary for his amusing anecdotes and getting wound up whenever the opposition were in FGRs half of the field.
At the end of the Wembley play-off final when FGR were promoted to the EFL Bob uttered the legendary words “Let me tell you this Cheltenham, Swindon, Newport – you are going to eat hummus next season, because Forest Green Rovers are in the Football League!”
But after many decades of commentating Bob retired this summer. Billy, his son, is carrying on the family tradition as match commentator. And doing a job job at it.

I claim the award for the most tinpot.

The guy who co commentates for Crawley at the away games is called "travel Ken" and I get the idea he is the coach driver.

Funnily enough he is quite good.

0-0 with Southend, poor game but Southend the better side. As you'd expect a game low on quality. Not sure if we were tired having played 120 minutes vs Hull the previous Sunday and then Walsall on the Wednesday but we just didn't turn up.

Disappointing to only get 2 points from Walsall and Southend but we didn't deserve more. Looking at our run to the end of month I'm not particularly hopeful, Carlisle A, Tranmere A, Exeter H, Cheltenham A followed by Cambridge H. Fear it's going to be a long month.

I remember several times throughout that game wishing that Blakeman would shut up as his ignorance about football is embarrassing.

Dave Higgins does my head in at times. Getting annoyed at 5-0 v Grimsby because we’re not attacking enough not realising we’ve stepped off the gas because we have 4 games in 2 weeks coming up. Thinks too much like someone who just wants 10-0 wins every game instead of being realistic

Agree, Blakeman’s knowledge was very poor. I blame Blakeman for my over the top reaction on this forum when we won at Vale Park.
