I thought the same, it was embarrassing tbh.

When you’ve broken the league transfer record on 3 separate occasions in 1 summer and have a budget that far outstrips anyone else (even your circus in north Wales) you simply can’t moan about other teams finances.
Correct. Bare in mind we had to to get quality to get us to where we are, but we are not flinging round circa £20m for 1 player. We have probably spent about 10% of that on our whole squad. Mullin, Lee, Okwonkwo, Boyle, Evans to name but a few are all free transfers.

Precisely - regardless how much we have spent its on the day and it was not our day, this is a competitive league where we will in most cases get the best version of every opponent we play.Fair play to Charlton but if they flop in the next games then it was all for nothing, if they raise their game against Bristol rovers et al they may have a better season...

Listen to the interview and get back to us

Not that arsed tbf mate, if he said it then its likely because after us, they maybe have spent a few quid, im not clued up on other sides and wont claim to be. We get pelters for everything we do, if we win its not by enough and if we lose, we should never lose a game, you are having a great season, that should be front and centre not what we are doing lol

My point is you are trying to dally around the fact he was being a sore loser, why not just admit it? It’s fine, at least he cares.

Im glad it affects him and i hope we learn from it, moving forward.

Stockport County.
Birmingham City rattled by all accounts. Nathan Jones and Charlton Athletic landing a punch out of nowhere and it's shaken them up. This time last week it was supposed to be a cakewalk. It wasn't about winning it, it was about doing it in style with the money that has been spent.

If they get more than 3 defeats this season, this Carl Davies will be under the microscope.

Chris Davies may be, but that Carl Davies will not know what the heck people are going on about...

Apologies. He's not a big enough name to remember, that's the problem. He's not a Steve Evans, he's not a Phil Parkinson, he's not a Matt Robinson.

Did anyone hear the official commentary words once the full time whistle was blown? Talk about arrogance of the highest regard.

Not bothered about the Charlton v Brum result but like to think of Alfie May punching a wall somewhere...

Not being funny, the money you have thrown around should mean you do go unbeaten. The absolute hypocrisy of the manager going on about Charlton spending ridiculous amounts is an insult to be honest.

It's the same as when we won the National League, and we lost three games that season.

Lots of pressure when you outspend the rest of the league to the extent they have. Although I agree with what you said about the managers Charlton comments. That was an absolute joke.

To a degree, yes it is the same, but it really isnt when you look at what we spent, its nothing compared to Brum. We just had a bigger wage budget so we could attract better players.

Should be a good game at our place on the 19th.
As fans we're used to playing the clubs from higher up and beating them, not so sure about the players

Birmingham have got the money to spend so not sure why anyone is arsed, they are a Championship club after all not some tinpot shite.

Even if they did splurge £20m on the oldest looking 21 year old I've ever seen.

Just reading through and thought I’d make a couple of points.

We spent £1.5m in the summer, £750k of which was given to us by Birmingham for May.

At the moment we are a mid-table League One side, being crap one week and decent the next is not unusual, it’s the nature of this league.

Birmingham City will never be a “cup final” for Charlton Athletic if that is what the insinuation was.

Any reason why neither of them played on Saturday?
