Only one team in the game in that half. Exeter full value for the lead.

Apart from that one moment on the penalty I have liked what have seen from Robinson. With more experience I can see him being a good player for us. Garrity not really shown up for this so would be taking him off for Conlon and then maybe McDermott for Holden.

We've had more noteworthy efforts at goal than them? Smithy early doors drawing a save, Harry dragging wide and Robinson forcing a near post save low down. What's Stone done exactly? Besides the wonder strike and wank penalty, they've not really troubled us. Basic defending from us. We just look very lightweight up top so when we do get the ball, we're restricted on the break. They've knocked it around alright and put balls into the box, but they've not really done too much.

Not worth losing heads over for me. It's the second game and we always start slowly.

The only scary thing about Burton is their mascot. What the f**k is that? :fl:
There are two of them...Billy and Betty Brewer...they both look absolutely pissed..well Burton is the UK home of brewing...and the way they've started this season suggests being hammered is the only way to be a Burton fan

Yeah at the moment it’s a weaker XI than played there last season with Massey, Walker, Wilson and Worrall out, Conlon, Pett and Holden not fit enough to start and still no strikers in the building so have to put context on it but is frustrating it’s got to this situation to a degree.

Honestly a laughably bad penalty decision. Id be fuming if that's even a free kick nevermind the swan dive into the box.

No pen in well over 12 months for us. We are due some absolute stinkers for sure .

No complaints to be losing though, we've been dreadful.

Not watching the game as I’m on my holidays, so I’ve not seen the penalty decision but it sounds like we got a very soft decision in our favour.

Delighted to be 2-0 up and hope we can see the second half out with an extra goal or two. I’m still not counting my chickens though as a quick Vale goal will get them straight back into it.

Sounds like Kite’s goal was a superb strike and Jevani from the spot is always a high chance of a goal. Love him.

He does grab his shirt but let’s go before going in the box, good clip of it on Facebook slowed down. The dive conned the referee but yeah it’s a stinker that.

Just seen it again. Not even in the box.

Waits seconds to reach the box then throws himself to the floor. Same player tried it again later in the half too and their clueless, biased commentary team tries to brush it under the carpet saying he didn't have control of the ball and slipped. No lads, he cheated, again, but this time, didn't get away with it.

DC special with the triple sub. Benning, Charsley and McDermott off for Thierry Small, Rory Holden and Tom Conlon. Had to be done really.

Personally I'd have taken off Garrity but am guessing he will get pushed up front alongside Proctor.

Wycombe have had 1 or 2 decent chances but for the most part we have been sensational today. Could have scored 3/4 at least. On this performance Conor Bradley should not be playing in league 1. He is absolutely levels above. He’s defo got a chance or making it at Liverpool. I was quite disappointed we didn’t get Fossey back but this lad is an upgrade for sure.

yeah, BWFC have been the better side. As you say, we have had chances, but if you don't take them when you get them, then...

also, we have to come forward to push for an equaliser and you're counter-attacking very well, so that's dangerous.

Bradley definitely looks quality.

Massive embarrassment and by far the worst under DC reign. Completely unacceptable performance and should be refunding the fans who’ve travelled down. If we don’t get some in next week Bolton will smash us.

Very worried by this performance despite the obvious issues which need to be addressed.

Highlights how shocking our bench is when behind. Got away with it v Fleetwood with the two quick goals but we have nothing at all here.

We’ve ended up fielding three kids with one start between them before today. It’s ridiculous that again we’ve got fitness issues.

Throwing on two lads who aren’t fit at half time and our only striker being taken off just sums up the massive work still needed. I hope Wilson is back for next week but regardless if you don’t do basic defenders then it’s irrelevant what strikers you have.

We are going to have far tougher assignments than today (including the next two games) so need to sort it out quickly.

Glad that one is over with, tough afternoon for us. Our heaviest defeat under DC.

Think DC will be fuming with the fourth goal in particular the way they switched off on a long throw. Two of the others were great goals with a penalty in between so that happens.

Strange game. Very unlucky to be 2 down to a worldy and a joke penalty but lucky to only lose 4 in the end.

Exeter put us to the sword and brown and nombe will cause a lot of teams problems .

I'll be a bit bitter and biased and say maybe we don't capitulate at 1-0 HT instead of 2 but that's more wishful thinking

Think your being too kind, we comfortably beat that side 1-0 a few weeks ago and it’s barely changed then put that in today. That’s huge regression. Big big week needed as the positivity has been smashed there from the last few weeks, not arsed about Rotherham but need players fit and attacking options for next weekend.

I’d have the defenders running tomorrow rather than a day off as well!

Wow, wasn’t expecting that in the slightest. Sounds like we were excellent and could have score a few more. Jevani and Nombe up front will be huge for us this season. Also a massive call from Taylor giving Kite his first start of the season, which worked out great.

To get 4 points on the board so early is huge as it give us confidence moving forward. We still need more bodies, which hopefully will come soon but all the signs say we should be fine this season.

A great battling performance for us at Portsmouth. Looking at the two starting line ups at 3pm, expected this to be a comfortable home win.

We are so short of numbers, Scully, House, Mandriou, Vernam, Walsh amongst others out injuried/ ill.

Think our bench was made up of 3 youngsters yet to make their debut, 1 keeper, Roughan who is still only 19, along with Jackson and Maguire (who has been told he has no future). Understandably, none of the youngsters came on.

Just hope we get some players back soon/ sign a few players before end of transfer window. Hear there may be some movement next week.

Its very strange to see us keep a clean sheet, so very promising foundations!

Deserved defeat then. Bolton look like a good combo of attacking quality, physicality, and a solid defence.

We didn't help ourselves by fluffing our lines in attack with the few decent chances we created - if one of them had gone in then maybe it's a different game, but shoulda woulda coulda...but didn't.

So take it on the chin, move on - if Bolton can do that every week then I see them being up there.
