You will win this, Bolton have had an easy run of fixtures and still only scraped most of their wins whereas Bradford seem to have played a few decent teams in your great run.
Think you’ll beat this average Bolton side pretty comfortably myself.

The opposition during their unbeaten run;

Stevenage (16th)
Mansfield (19th)
Southend (22nd)
Scunthorpe (18th)
Barrow (23rd)
Oldham (17th)

Since T and S took over, we’ve beat Cheltenham, Morecambe and Tranmere to name just three - comfortably too - forget about the XG stat or whatever you call it.

Form almost goes out of the window in these types of fixtures, though. It has a derby feel to it.

I love when things are spun like the above......that is the last 6 games and we have won all six.
Lets go last 10 games adding another 4 our only defeat was against Tranmere when we had ten men and a bad referee,,,,,The other 3 teams to make it to ten are Cheltenham, Exeter, Morecambe [another 2 points dropped through to a awful ref]

If bad referees affected games as much as you claim nobody would ever win and we would all end up on 46 points.

Hmm - not trying to ‘spin’ anything. Merely contributing to debate with facts.

here we go, so i will give you another stat....Bolton have not been beat with Kieran lee in the team
We had a player who passed it from side to side Tom White
If you are making a point against xG fine but your point is baseless when you have a pop at the best midfielder in the division
Mate, it was a little dig that I knew you would bite at. But there is no way in the world he's the best midfielder in this division, just because he doesn't misplace any of his five yard passes - even Sarcevic is way ahead of him.

On the passing stat point, I'm sure last season our keeper had 100% passing success in a few matches, because he was tapping everything short to the full back. Most pointless stat of the lot.

might not score loads or be a 6'2" striker good in the air - but probably one of the most intelligent strikers in L2 who does a lot of work for the team. sort of the total opposite of Andy Cook, whose a great lad (played for us in 4 different spells) - but isn't a team player and is dumb as a box of rocks.....
Suppose some players just click at certain clubs, but you could literally saying the opposite to what I've seen of both players, that's not a dig just what I've seen of them both. James seemed uninterested for us and never got in good positions. Where as Cook has been one of our biggest team players so far and all 3 of his goals have been through cleaver movement to leave his marker for dead and he has ran his socks off as the lone striker for the team which I'm sure fellow City fans will agree. Maybe he's just doing it to earn a contract but I'd have Cook over James every day of the week, who was terrible for us but I wish the lad luck if he is doing it elsewhere good on him.

Meaningless, we've had so many loans and ex Prem players over the years who have been terrible, usually from Man Utd tbh. Then there was Championship regular Hope Akpan on huge wages who in the last two seasons is one of the worst players I've seen wear our shirt. I'd rather a young up and coming player or someone in good form in non league than someone having to drop divisions(which there is usually a reason for). Maybe yours are different and you've not made mistakes we have over the years we'll see.

I rate Maddison although I can't stand him, and I used to love Kieran Lee, if he's a tenth of the player he was in 15/16 when I watched a lot of Wednesday then we'll have a very tough game, which I'm sure we will anyway, but these players are usually in league 2 for a reason.

I'd take a draw here and now though.

Andy Cook was a great player for Tranmere. He scored over 50 goals in 2 seasons and helped get us back into the EFL. He was always a team player.

Cook is a far better player than James, not sure that should even be up for debate. The latter is a decent NL player who puts a lot of effort in at Barrow so that's why he's liked, but he will never be a top goalscorer at this level.

Sarcevic is not in the same league as him.He was Shef Wed best player for the last 8 years in the championship
Lge 2 is a walk in the park for players like him and Hoolihan

Hey no issue with the dig, but look at a players career before you make a call.
He is with us because he cannot play 2 games in a week and he has turned 30

Vaughan nothing, he just didn’t want to be at the club as he said the commute was to far. Wyke went at a 1:2 ratio for us and we sold for decent money to a far bigger club that either of us so not sure what you point is with him? Doyle was in a terrible team full of mercenaries that ended comfortably last in the league above, not a bad player got double figures for us and I’m sure he’d do better now. Not sure the point you’re making but hope that answers your question?

Jesus christ we have made countless mistakes...Completly got it wrong last summer we signed some for whatever reason are not good enough to play league football. We binned our DOF last Autumn and give Evatt a free hand at recruitment. From August right through to christmas we were shite bar one little spell.
Evatt brought Miller and Isgrove in but they were not match fit. From January onwards we have changed our team completly. Williams,Lee,John and Afolayan are a level better than lge2 and with Miller and Isgrove getting match fit have rejuvenated the squad.
We have 7/8 players who we signed last summer who will not play this season and will be released inthe summer......very costly mistakes.
Those signings in January happened because the Salary cap has been abolished.
Whatever league we are in come august i expect us to be competing

you may class Sunderland as a far bigger club than Bradford, but they are not a bigger club than us
Higher league perhaps, bigger crowd yep..........thats it period

Sounds a lot like us, poor summer recruitment having to be made up for in January. Probably explains our parallel form. Like you we’ve had plenty of mistakes off the field dating back to 2017, which is why we are in this league. We got a new CEO in November new head of recruitment in December and the new management duo so we can only pray we’ve turned a corner. I’d hope we’d have a go should we somehow manage to get promoted like the likes of Luton and Lincoln have done in recent years. There’s not much difference between top 7 in league 2 and outside the top 6 in league 1.

Genuinely, never on this forum have I ever had to read a post 3 times.

Did you just say Bolton Wanderers are bigger than Sunderland?

Is there a punch line to that joke, or?

Sunderland are far bigger than Bolton in virtually every statistic surely?
I’m not one who gives a shit about club sizes if something fans have no power over, but that’s one of the most bizarre things I’ve read on here. Granted I’ve only recently come back on here after about 2 years but still...

Almost everybody outside of Bolton would class Sunderland as a bigger club.

Despite the bigger stadium, bigger fanbase, higher league, more recent Premier League status, more recent FA Cup win, and more historical first division championships, SAFC aren't as big as mighty Bolton. :pmsl:

Having researched a little:

Years in top flight:

Sunderland - 86
Bolton - 73

Top flight Championships:

Sunderland - 6
Bolton - 0

FA Cup:

Sunderland - 2
Bolton - 4

All-time Average Attendance:

Sunderland - 25,811 (10th)
Bolton - 17,110 (26th)

All-time League Table (top flight):

Sunderland - 10th
Bolton - 13th

Seems fairly obvious to me; Sunderland are bigger overall. Perhaps Bolton sell more iFollow tickets?
