Football is usually a good way to get out of Christmas shopping...or any kind of shopping for that matter.

Well that was fun. Left home and there was no wind, to then be blowing an absolute gale. Didn't realise just how bitter it was until after the game, as sheltered from the worst of it with our stand.

That's 3 0-0s from our early ko's this season. It was never going to be a game of quality with the conditions. Felt we had better of the first half, with 2 chances from Moylan, Makama when he back heeled when better place to shoot etc. Charlton having nothing of note.

2nd half and Charlton had a bit more about them without really doing much. Felt we couldn't get going. Just misplaced pass, cross, throw after another.

One of those games that will be easily forgotten.

Their keeper may aswell of stay in the changing room in the warm. We'd struggle to threaten a Sunday league team away from home.

0-0 half time

Losing 2-1 at half time, so incredibly unlucky not to equalise late on hitting the post but that’s the common theme in our last 5 games.

We were battering them in the first 5 minutes and they counter out of nowhere to get the first.

Played some good stuff but uncharacteristically been wide open in defence centrally, that’s there the second came from which was a good finish.

Hahahahahaha. The fuck is happening at The Abbey.

What raffle did the Shrewsbury keeper win his place in?

Lee scores direct from a corner via the wind, surprised there's not been more of them today.

Horrible game in horrible conditions but we got over the line as we normally do.

Mark Howard keeping clean sheets at L1 level is quite something. Our NL defence keeping clean sheets for fun up here.

I'm not sure you can criticise any of the players today. Horrible conditions and we were comfortably on top the whole game.

Chances were difficult to come by-particularly in the first half when we were playing into the wind, but we could have finished two or three up by the end apart from some good saves from Crocombe. Another decent three points.

Well that will do, keeps us in touch with the pack above us. Shrews really are terrible, but we were very effective today, and should have had two more (Ryan Loft I’m looking at you). Now the hard work of reeling in those above really starts.

Mansfield must be the most unluckiest team in history, shouldn't have dropped a point this season. Been amazing in every game apparently according to the fans.

Reality is 6 points from the drop zone and the big concern is that nobody can remember when they last won a game.

Christ, just seen your goals, STFC defence and goalie look like absolute wank, although in fairness I believe they had two suspended players out of their back four.

Played well today offensively but decision making in the final third let us down, both sides had enough chances to score 3 or 4 each. Last chance saloon in the 95th minute and Huddersfield player heads it on to their own bar, you just know if that was us it’s going in for an own goal with how things are going at the minute.

Still waiting for the tide to turn, just not getting any luck with the ball dropping, but it’s got to be said we are not showing enough quality in the final third either. Not the same side without Gregory.

That’s 5 losses on the bounce, I’ll exclude the Bolton defeat because we fell apart after the sending off but I dunno how on earth we lost the other 4.

I dunno if you’re just on the wind up or ignorant, if it’s the latter lemme know and I’ll help you out mate.

Was more comfortable about this game before all our Goalkeepers got injured.

We should win, but you can't underestimate anyone in this league and our away form is mediocre at best. Someone will win 1-0, hopefully us.
Good shout ER...

Not pretty but feels like the best win of the season that with the conditions and Mansfield being one of the better teams faced. Address the striker situation in Jan and it’s looking good.

Yes he is at the moment and prior to that he hasn’t really got going for us yet and found himself as a sub more often than not. He competes with Ben Wiles also who is our top scorer. Would be a big bonus for Jan onwards if we see the player you did.

I thought your goalie was superb today, first half yellow card for time wasting aside!

Good Huddersfield performance in terrible conditions , how the ref hasn’t given a penalty to potentially go 3 v 1 up is beyond belief an absolute 100 percent foul and he gives a throwing . The only possible saver was it was on the edge of box and he could have given red card and free kick but even then it would have been wrong. A point in the game where it would have been all over.
But hey great 3 points and consistency is showing.

Definite foul, think he was offside tho.

Better 2nd half. Yes conditions were awful. Can't believe Mullin and Fletcher missed those sitters.
Any wins a good win

I thought we deserved the win against Wigan, had the better chances throughout the game - but still had to defend well to deny them with 3 moments they had.

Dan Agyei has found his form again, scoring, assisting and scaring defenders with his trickery and pace.

Conditions not the best, both teams coped well considering I thought.

Wigan reminded me of ourselves, a possession based team who look good on the eye, but without that cutting edge up front. They also started Theo Aasgaard on the bench, which suprised me as he is their best player.
