nice 6-pointers for:

Barnsley v Blackpool (if we're counting the mid-table trophy)
Stockport v Charlton
Exeter v Shrews (David Wheeler w/ a stoppage time winner?)

We face a disappointingly resurgent Posh side at London Road, not sure what triggered their recent uptick but I very much hope the shite version returns to stink out their gaff on Saturday.

Can't see Wxm not beating Rovrum, but hoping for a dissatisfying (for them) draw between Stockport and Charlton.

As J Greaves famously said...."It's a fahnny ol game Saint"

We've gone from not being able to BUY a win away - but being relentless at home...to winning 4 out of 5 away - but shite at home! :ffs:

Fat Stevie in town on Sat. You just know what's gonna happen....

Would have happily taken 6/9 against Orient Barnsley and Stockport but now I'm hungry for 9/9. The result of this game could be key in deciding whether we are fighting Huddersfield, Bolton, Reading, Orient etc for 5th and 6th, or whether that list of clubs are also going to be fighting for 4th spot too.

Need a response at home to the imps after a pretty mediocre Tuesday night at Bolton.

Keeper issues Allsop injured, BPF in now but fans clamouring for an untried U21 lad Brad Mayo to come in...we shall see. I wouldnt be against it

We will feel the backlash from Birmingham losing last night? Every chance I reckon, or can we be the visiting team to win there this season?
Doubtful but you never know

With Peacock Farrell in goal you have every chance

Can you believe that when we won the return fixture we went 4th and people were talking up our promotion chances.

Lol. We are probably pointing our way to safety though

Our away record doesn't warrant your apprehension.

We've pretty much got nowt to play for but obviously the Hollywood effect means we've sold out, people are so weird these days.

And Steve Evans is not fat, he's cuddly like a big teddy bear..........apparently.

We do OK at creating chances, especially from set pieces (scored from a throw against you guys back in October) but not so good in open play.
We don't normally get that many from open play, but last night we actually got decent crosses in and scored from them.
We never what team Skubala will pick, 4 or 5 changes most games recently, confusing for us fans nevermind the players

Wigan away, on my birthday, as someone based in this corner of Greater Manchester is a fine old thing!

Hopefully the good fortune extends to the match itself, could see us getting at least a point but god knows what to make of the tics at the moment.

Shrewsbury (H) - we’ll probably finish at about 6pm, compounded by a 90+13 winner by David Wheeler.

I was rather pleased to see the unwanted monkey off your back in not getting a win away from home for what seemed like an eternity. I bet half the rotherham fans didn't know what to do in terms of celebrating come the final whistle!?! A rare occurrence. The dreaded is that there could be 2 wins on the bounce due our winless streak at home in recent weeks.

It was a 3 year stat that said we hadn't won away on a Saturday in games with a 3pm KO, we had won on weekdays and an early Sat KO but it was an unbelievable, unwanted record, so I'm grateful it's gone.

You know what they say about buses?..........so who knows?

But given we might have to play two midfield players as C.H.s on Saturday, it would be a turn up for the books if we get anything.

I certainly wouldn’t be dissatisfied with a draw.

Would be very happy with 7 points from Orient, Barnsley and Stockport with a game at Crawley on Tuesday where we would certainly be eyeing 3 points.

Stockport County.
Charlton, Huddersfield and Bolton should all be in the play-offs at an absolute minimum at this level. All three will have eyed automatics before a ball was kicked. Staying in League One will be a season of failure for them all.

I agree. All should be punching higher than what they are in my eyes. I remember going to Bolton at the start of the season thinking i'd take a point as its a club that size.

Not sure that’s true for us this season.

Last season was diabolical and Jones came in and saved us really so this season was a major overhaul. I think a play-off push was about the most we would expect this year given its only our first full season under Jones and realistically with Birmingham in the league, there was only one automatic spot up for grabs.

If Wheeler starts he won't score in 90+13 as he'd probably be taken off by 70 minutes. Would snap your hand off for your prediction tho!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Callum Stewart the signing from Leamington given a start. George Lloyd looked knackered the other night and Stewart lively when he came on. Looks a bit lightweight to me for league 1 at present, but if it can give Lloyd a rest its worth it, especially with Burton coming up too.

Even though we've played well in the last two games and throughly outplayed Burton and Wigan we've got no idea how to put the ball in the onion bag and collect three bags of coal, so a draw or a narrow defeat is the best bet.

I imagine it more likely that Wheeler comes on to score.
No idea what will happen, doubt it will be pretty especially with our pitch at the moment.

That won't bother us. We'll be trying to give you the ball so we can hit on the counter.

At least we're actually playing each other at 3pm on a Saturday for once!

As I said last week. We will play well and lose or play badly and lose.

Two strikers suspended from the incidents v Cambridge. That means either Swan (who has been playing left wing back) or John-Jules (who has not scored a goal) up front and due to injuries we will probably have a back 3 of Feely (not good enough to get on the bench for Barrow) Tanimu (the billion schilling man) and Barker. I reckon Boris Johnson could scare against them.

on Tuesday our manager came up with a cunning plan worthy of Baldrick. He put players on the bench who were injured and could not play just to worry the opposition.

Not particularly exciting at EP, a couple of our most reliable bunch (Bate and Hills) having bad days.

Fair play to Charlton for a great turnout, especially this time of day.

I'm watching the Stockport game. Pretty evenly balanced- I thought Charlton were the better team earlier on but it's evened out as the half wore on and could go either way- possibly a draw is best for us anyway so feel free to cancel each other out.

Crawley scored at the end but the referee disallowed it because he said he had blown the final whistle, he had

Lacked any quality whatsoever, two sides afraid to make mistakes. They'll be happy because it was away from home; I'm fairly happy because they were top of the form table last fifteen.
