Hume isn't anywhere near league 2 next season my worry is he's at Lincoln
With us in L1 hopefully.

I implore all Town fans to listen to Danny Rose's interview with Matt Dean. Exactly what you want your captain to be saying. Hasn't all been plain sailing for him this season but he's bang in form right now, not just scoring wise but he's back to his outright pest and shithousing best.

We were crap playing a back 5(again) and looked better once we switched to a 4(again). Nothing in the game on a dreadful pitch, then one mix up and Salford's only decent player, N'Mai, nips in to score. O'Riordan pings one in from 25 yards to rescue us a draw.

Very poor first 70 minutes on the whole, but the last 20 were bonkers, with both teams trying to win it. Add in a late bust up and those final minutes almost made up for how poor the majority had been.

My first visit to Moor Lane and my overall impression is, they spent millions on the squad and rebuilding the stadium, yet they didn't seem to spare any to level off a ridiculous slope in the pitch and cover it in an actual playable surface. I know ours is bad, but Salford's today, huge chunks were coming up all over the place, plus it didn't drain water and was covered in sand at various spots. Very strange place.

I'll take the draw, but now we've got a horrible run of games against the sides in 3rd, 5th, 6th, 2nd and 8th. We've won 5 of our last 17 games and have only played 1 other top 7 side, that being Wimbledon. Can't help but feel this stretch of games is what might cost us come the end of the season.

I am going to start this by saying that Colchester were the better team in the second half and deserved the win over the 90 mins.

With that being said, they are a horrible bunch of bastards managed by a couple of disgraceful c***!! A shocking referee today who made baffling decisions for both teams, however the big ones he got wrong effected us. Two stonewall penalties, our centre-back getting a broken nose from a flailing elbow, our right back losing 3 teeth from a flailing elbow (in both cases no free-kick was given, let alone yellow/red cards).

Best bit of the day was Nicky Cowley having to literally be manhandled out of the stand by stewards because of his effing and blinding leading to complaints.

As mentioned - missing too many players!

I don’t dislike Leigh, but one thing for certain, he isn’t a striker.

When you’ve got 2 strikers on the bench and none in the starting XI, you deserve to come away with nothing.

GA got this one wrong.
You as well as anyone knew it would happen at some time. Doesn't hide the disappointment but Coleman did a job on us. We played their game and not our own. Skipper has been magnificent, today he was awful. At least we are at an end of the Saturday- Tuesday grind and have a full week of recovery time. Dust ourselves down and go again.

I reckon Colchester will be the horrible lot who end our terrific home run later this month by deploying similar tactics which we can never seem to overcome.

We had an off day yesterday, but we always seem to struggle against John Coleman teams

Hope to God that you have a strong ref and not the weak as piss twat we had yesterday.

I still can't get over the elbow on Arkell not even resulting in a free-kick - let alone at least a yellow.

Well, I hope you found somewhere decent to cry into your pint.

The Leather Bottle wasn't playing ball so we skipped onto Brewdog Waterloo for the rugby and to dissect the game. Some fantastic closely fought shuffleboard action followed before Lebanese and BYOB.

Great following from Notts, good vocal support and then we decided to lay down and have our tummies tickled. We got bullied all over the pitch and created next to nothing.

All in a record breaking crowd did I hear?

Shame about the Leather Bottle, it's a lovely pub. I used to live in the road opposite.

Record ticket sales but in reality a good 2 or 3 hundred lower due to no show season ticket holders.

Left the game 5 minutes early so we managed to get a table at the front of the Leather Bottle. Filled with Rugger Buggers but first proper outdoor pints of the year, in the sunshiiine. Lovely.

No, this stretch of games is the one that will pretty much confirm us as champions.

Fairly crap game, not helped by one of the worst pitches I've ever seen, in the worst ground in the EFL. We tried to overcompensate for how bad the pitch was by launching it long for 70 minutes and we didn't really get playing until we went 1-0 down and then probably should have won it. Best part of the day was meeting 6 Swiss lads, who were here for the Man Ure v Arsenal game, just after 2pm in the Piccadilly Tap and persuading them to come to the game - they absolutely loved it. Worst part of the day was nearly missing kick off because my mate ordered an Uber to the rugby ground instead of the football ground.
