Win. Swindon are shite aren’t they?
Guilty as charged.

Apparently we looked better yesterday. Mark Kennedy seemed to only have a plan A, but Ian Holloway appears to have changed that and his experience possibly will see an upturn of fortune. There definitely seems to be much more of a belief in the players, I don't think we have the third worst squad in the division personally.

Franchise away is tricky. I only live 30 miles away and went last season. So odd playing in such a big stadium with hardly anyone there. And it took forever to get out of the car park and my wife nearly killed me on the drive home, so I'm not sure I'll repeat that.

For safety sake I could get the train, which station is closer to walk from, Wolverton, Bletchley or Milton Keynes?

I have Donny as strong favourites at home versus Notts as it's a tough ask but odds on seems a little strong.

First away defeat incoming? Would be great to avoid defeat again on our travels

Tough away day and at some point we're due an away defeat. Still, we're hard to beat with some squad depth this season and a starting eleven that can give anyone a game in this division.
Hopeful draw.1-1.

Doncaster getting smashed by Chesterfield the other week gives me some hope. Play a similar way and the same big away following. Be very happy with a point, though.

Donny have been the best team we have faced so far this season by quite some distance, that said, they were hanging on for dear life when we threw the kitchen sink at them in the last 10 minutes at Valley Parade last week.

They also lost 1-0 to Bromley in there last home game and us being more of a solid than spectacular team this season gives us hope of a result there on the plus side we have only conceded 2 second half goals in 14 league games

Taking Senior off was the turning point McCann even said so, Cook hadn’t had a sniff until then

We really struggle against sides like Bromley and Harrogate.

AFC Wimbledon have scored the most home goals ( despite playing the least number of home games) and conceded the least in League 2. 100% home record.

Tough trip to Walsall, who are flying high. But, yesterday's debacle aside, we've been on a good run and hopefully should give them a good game. Would gladly take a point from the first of 3 very tough games coming up this month.

No idea what to expect from Bromley to be honest. They started well, then couldn't win, before shocking Donny away.

We seem to have found a bit of form now though and the spirit in the camp is the best it's been all season.

Not sure I'm comfortable going into a game as favourites though.

Very tough game away to Walsall. We saved two of our worst performances last season for the games against Walsall (although we only had about 8 fit players for the away game), so we owe them a better performance. I fear we'll get beaten on Saturday though.

Gillingham Away, we seem to play them regularly down the years but its now 7 or 8 years without a meeting surprisingly so don't know as much about them as I normally would with us not crossing paths for so long.

We go into this unbeaten in the league in 2 and a half months stretching 10 games with 8 wins in that spell and 5 wins on the spin with the best away record in the division (W5 D1 L1) whilst Gills have hit a patch of terrible form after being top in the embryonic table.

A chance for Vale with a win to extend the gap to fourth with teams behind us playing each other and really cement our spot but could be without our entire central midfield, Byers is still to come back from his fracture and now we've potentially lost both Garrity and Croasdale so may have to dig into 34 year old Jason Lowe and right back Tom Sang in there with new signing Rakeem Harper not match fit either.

Croasdale will be assessed this week, the official word is he has been rested due to minutes and a couple of niggles along with Garrity but Garrity might need a scan as he's still having symptoms, so could have both or neither come kick off Saturday which would be a huge blow considering the quality of all 3.

Elsewhere we rested a few Saturday so talisman Stockley will be well rested and the likes of Chislett and Tolaj have had a break.

Despite Gills form this is an incredibly difficult tie, they are a quality side and this will be as big of a test as any we have faced this season, we are due a defeat and can't keep winning so would probably take a draw to head into the trip to Morecambe. A win though would be massive with the other fixtures set to see some of the chasers behind us set to drop points with them facing each other.

We’re a bit more attritional this year, much better defensively but not as free scoring, especially at the minute with Jones and Crowley out (latter hopefully be back for this though). We still tend to have loads of possession but in games like this we’re using it more to be boring than make it really open.

Our big problem is breaking well organised teams down, unless we score early and make you come out, creating space we will be chasing shadows all game

One of our best performances last season was the away game at Gresty Road. Absolutely played you off the park first 60 minutes, and still somehow managed to throw the game away. Was basically a template for how soft the underside of last seasons team was.

Yeah, I agree with your assessment of the game at ours, you looked like a really good team until you let us back into the game - we never should have got a point.

I know they have some quality players and are one of the favourites for the title... thats about it compared to what I normally would know in terms of playing style, recent past, expectations.
