Really poor half of football, lots of stop start and possession given away by both sides. Thought Curtis went down easily but by the rules of the game there was contact, so it's a penalty. Ref has been absolutely dreadful and given us nothing.

If we pick it up a notch second half, I think we can win. Gills have created nothing.

Stuart Maynard. He just doesn’t know how to manage in these sort of games.

Learned a valuable lesson today, never back Chesterfield at home.

Pointon best player on pitch in second half. Amazing what happens when you play someone in the correct position. All on Alexander is this loss.

Not good enough. Midtable finish with Alexander in charge.

Another ‘good point’ but also another poorly managed game against a good side, getting very boring now.

Unless Crowley is injured, not bringing him on for Brown or Austin there is unfathomably weird

I think this is the worst we've played in about 3 or 4 years. Absolutely vile performance. We need to get our centre backs back that'll help, but today every cross over hit, simple 5 hard passes going to no one. Everyone has had a bad game. One to forget.

Somehow we are brilliant at getting the job done away but we are equally as shite at home. I don’t think the football is sustainable but you can’t complain at 5 away wins in a row. Need to get our other injured players back before we consider how good the team really is.

Frustrating to again not beat a top side but his substitutions overall this season have been good right?

As for Crowley I dearly hope he was carrying an injury or it is very weird

What isn't very boring is our away record and not losing. It's November and to be undefeated on our travels is superb. Definitely a good point against a good side especially looking at other results today.

Well I definitely would have taken a point before that game. Nice to see Bogle getting 70 minutes and a goal on his first start.
I got a notification saying that game was full time about 5 minutes before it actually finished. Would have felt very silly if they scored again.

We were crap today but that was pure footballing terrorism from Crewe. Ten minutes added on but should have been about 15 or 16 for the amount of time wasting they did.

Ref was abhorrent. Never seen anything quite like it.

Draw fair result though.

Disappointing to see the run end today, especially with how poor Gillingham played but we’ve been miles off it and that can happen. One shot on target all game.

Moore probably cost us with the subs there, don’t get why you’d take Stockley off for Hackford who’s been largely poor but got to dust down and go again, other results mean it isn’t a disaster but Morecambe is must win now.

Injuries need to ease up though.

Still maintain it's the teams rather than the home/away. 3 of our 4 home losses are above us therefore current top 6 teams. The 4th loss was Barrow who were above us before today.

With that impressive starting side, great subs bench and superior squad depth there has to be some fingers pointing at the league's best Cook? Should be doing better.

We wish had such squad quality at Meadow Lane.

Be prepared for ultimate shithousing from us second half.
Yes that's what we had. Ultimate shit housing indeed. We dominated grimsby but lost a really annoying frustrating game. Fair play to grimsby they did a job on us. They wee solid at back and worked hard for their win. We will win games like that this season

I’d like to agree and get where you’re coming from but most of those games we were outplayed. We set up very differently away from home (defensively) but it doesn’t excuse conceding 2-3 goals a game even if the team is better than us.

Based off table positions, the next 4 games are all winnable but I think the wins/losses column will still be similar afterwards!

Routine 3-1 win over Swindon after an early scare. Up to 6th, put the FA Cup performance behind us immediately which is good. In Lindsey we trust…

Easily our worst performance of the season. Gillingham were dreadful, which shows how poor we were on the day. It's some years since I've seen a performance as bad as Debrah's, but I'll cut him some slack because he's been generally decent.

Moore has to assess himself today too. His subs were horrific...I'm not sure what he sees in Hackford who offers nothing but seems to come on instead of better players.

Referee was absolutely dreadful, probably one of the worst we have had, but that loss is on us for just not turning up. Play to even 50% of our capability and we win that comfortably. The entire squad and management team have had a stinker.

I did say before the game that it felt like exactly the sort of game where our run would end....everyone looked a bit tired and half hearted.

Huge opportunity to put things right next weekend but I do worry that without a Garrity or a Byers in there, we look a poorer side.

Pretty much all of the 5 away wins have played out in the same way, we look incredibly solid whilst always giving ourselves a chance at the other end.

The home form recently has been shocking, but to be 7th with the amount of injuries we’ve had is incredible

Hahaha every week. Refereeing calamity. You can’t play under the conditions set by that idiot today.

A absolutely honking game of football until last 20 mins.

A fair result. Subs should have come earlier.

I don’t expect for one minute for us to get in the play offs but if we somehow do we really need to be requesting playing both games away.

It’s not ideal, Byers should be back soon and hopefully Harper gets involved Tuesday to get minutes.

We were due a bad day and hopefully the meltdown on OVF isn’t too bad. We’ve been great the last two and a half months but you will lose a few a season.

Need to see the goal as seems to be a lot of frustration at a foul into the build up and the penalty incident but don’t turn up against any side at this level poor or good and you can be punished.

They surprised me a bit they've always played decent stuff in the past whatever gets results I suppose though.

Our first choice CBs Dunkley and Araujo in that team, releasing Naylor to midfield things would look a lot better. Ref also useless, missed a stonewall handball pen in the first 10 minutes. That goes in, we settle, they have to come out, who knows. Then their 3rd is the most obvious foul you've ever seen but the ref was too busy talking to the bench to see it. Still, the performance in attacking areas was the problem today. Didn't give anyone a chance at scoring. Over hit everything. Simple passes going astray. Nothing quite fell to someone. Can't even blame bad finishing, I think we created 1 good chance all game and that fell to the right back, with expected result.
There just seems a template to going away with something here. Get the first goal (usually soft) then park 10 players behind a low block. If we're not absolutely on it, we don't get through, like today. They had more joy because we kept giving the ball away in midfield and they countered with pace. Not a great side them by any means but didn't need to be. Just organised and all playing for each other. I wish we could play every game away, when teams are forced to be more expansive we're so much more dangerous.

Firstly, that was never ever a 0-3 game, but at the end of the day we’ve stuck with plan A there for at least 75 minutes despite it being absolutely CLEAR AS DAY, that Accys whole shape & set up was countering what we were trying to do after about 20 minutes. But we stuck with it and persisted, and ended up 3-0 down after 70 mins before Cook had even made a single change (absolute madness).

Accringtons set up worked a treat, they were very similar to Walsall when we played them in both formation and the way they pressed so high with very athletic players and they swamped us, stopping us doing what we’re good at. So credit where it’s due, Accrington deserved that today, defended excellently and countered on us effectively so I’ve no complaints at the defeat today.

But this is unfortunately the area in which Cook has received criticism for before in his career, and by his own admission also… unfortunately when his plan A gets nullified, he very rarely seems able to come up with the solution to mix it up & change. He sticks to his guns wholeheartedly on his way that he believes in, which let’s have it right, has been very successful for him in his career with us and elsewhere BUT, today was one of those days where it was obvious from the start we’d got it wrong (similar to the vale away game earlier in the season). Our midfield got bullied from minute 1 , our attacking 4 were marked out the game and bullied… and 0 changes until the 70th as I said, after the game was done as we were 0-3 down at that point.

0 need to overreact so I won’t (I’m not even looking on our forum tonight as I can only imagine the meltdown on there from the usual clowns), it’s only our 3rd loss of the season, but the home form needs to drastically improve. 1 win at home all season is nowhere near good enough, we need to be far more proactive and go after teams from the start as at the moment it’s all too pedestrian like and as if we’re waiting for something to happen. Also, far too much chopping and changing going on every single week which is a consequence of having such a strong squad really. But he needs to pick what he feels has been his best XI so far this year and stick with it for a decent run of games and see how we go.

Harrogate away next, need a reaction and I’m sure there will be one.

Good point, still don’t know what to make of us. Brilliant for half an hour then stopped completely and clinging on for periods in the second half. Probably a fair result overall.

I’ve either forgotten what a good team looks like because of our time in the NL when the points total for promotion was so much higher, or we’ll fall off the pace soon. No idea which it is.

Our goal was absolutely brilliant tbf. One of the team passing moves of the season.
