You obviously didn't read the original post, as it was calling someone a nonce who isn't one.
Just vile. These people don't care about genuine victims. Just point scoring.

1 in 20 people in the UK are victims, so there will be people on this forum. Abhorrent that they have to read nonsense like that.

Pardon?

You were annoyed (as is your right) that you didn't win a game of Football.

You brought the rape of children into it.

You are an awful person. End of.

I get what you're saying but I don't think every Crewe fans defence of the club is based on their worry for abuse victims. It's an instinctive reaction to defend their club regardless. It's that what is vile, it's them that don't care about the victims.

I was lucky, Bennell didn't abuse me but I was in his squad at Stoke school of excellence, and he picked me to play for Stone Dominoes in 92/93. This was AFTER he was sent packing by Crewe, knowing what he'd been up to. Crewe knew, Gradi knew. Yet lads like us, 11/12 were able to be taken on camps in the Peak District, on his mini bus out onto the moors in the pitch black, middle of the night and told ghost stories, shit scared. It was only years later us lucky ones knew why he did that to us.

Gradi even gave him a character reference at one of his sentencing hearings a year or so later.

I still see one of Bennell's victims from the US trip where he was caught, on the school run most mornings. That lad could have been a top top player. He was sub for Vale a few times early thousands but ultimately never made it.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Well got my first Carlisle game really for two years yesterday, the win was an additional bonus and while you can see many issues the last 7 days with the battling performance against Wigan and scrappy result yesterday have at least given a much needed morale boost and letting fans and players feed off each other than fight each other for once.

It’s interesting watching as such as an outsider, can pinpoint some issues you’d maybe over look if you know things anyway.

For me Carlisle have two major issues they somehow need to address, first was shape, I frankly had to ask numerous times what the hell formation they were playing because there was never shape all game, I believe it was 5-3-2 but since the wing backs neither A : ever supported defence as defence on the wings or B: made any runs forward to give wide options in attack……I was never sure. Add in one of the forwards in Armstrong spent 80% of his time running back into midfield to do most of their work, the whole approach just seemed to be clumps of players all standing next to each other playing short dangerous balls with absolute no runners.

That is other major issues you’d maybe lack of grafters, especially midfield but all over pitch, no one hardly running forward, no one running back, limited attack options and limited doubling up on defence.

Probably both can be solved in January I assume lack of shape is down to not having players for what he wants and lack of grafters can be brought in when January arrives.

As for game it’s where I hate stats, look at stats they have 15 chances we had 1 and did a smash and grab…..total claptrap.

First half was even between two poor sides neither dominating the game, we had a superb chance to score when our player should have scored but hit over they had a great chance to score when we had our game by game individual cock ups and frankly let them run all around our box with no tackles or miss passes things giving them a couple of great opportunities but they missed or it saved……..neither side deserved lead as it stood but think both had 2-3 great opportunities.

Second half I expected more from Salford after a probable b*locking from their manager but they came out again very slow and plodding and we seemed to grow as game went on and started to settle look a little more orfanised and take game to them but struggling to offer much end product but getting nearer and more around their box while they offered little.

Draw looked about right but we pressed more in that last 15 minutes got a corner, a superb cross good header and bedlam, grabbed the lead and held on. We did scrap got behind everything and while yes they had more shots on target they were all easy saves.

Not pretty, lots of issues but when total crap you sadly at present just have to scrap for points and improve how you look later. Salford as usual always disappoint me been many times either with Curzon or Carlisle watching their rise and they seem to spend millions constantly development no a boring slow plodding side

Oh and one last thing them f*cking ridiculous Carlisle goal kicks……..what bloody coaching courses is describing all that clap trap b*locks and benificial, we end up hoofing it anyway after frankly spending time p*ssing off the fan base and adding pressure to the players.

I thought Grimsby were decent. Poor goal conceded by us. We played ok not a bad performance. Grimsby defended well and we didn't test their keeper enough. Just one of those game's. On to the next one.
Thought you were decent tbf , second half i thought a goal was coming but then i didn't think we would concede - it's weird how momentum stays with teams if they are on a run - at home it's negative for us away we look like we will get a result everytime . Had a good time out and about we finished it at Gordons wine bar which has always been one of my favourites around here ; lovely craft beer bar near the ground to 'against the grain ' if anyone wants some decent beers at Wimbledon away .

Nobody really defends the club against the fair criticism though.

Two points dropped for us yesterday, especially after Bromley went down to 10 men.

We got ahead by playing some decent football, then played right into their hands for the rest of the game - lobbing the ball up to George Miller who was playing on his own against two of the biggest centre-backs I think I've ever seen.

Bromley are what they are, they're big and gruff and will steamroller you into submission if you allow them to, and that's exactly what we did after going a goal up. They'll be completely fine this season because their style of football will get them results. They'll be up for every fight and will happily take single points from away games. If they can sort their home form out then they'll be in comfortable mid-table.

As for us - we've found something that works and we're now unbeaten in 7 in all competitions (4 in the league). Ethon Archer is special and we need to make sure we don't do anything stupid like let him go for a small 6 figure fee in January.

A very well reasoned post, and believe me, a number of Crewe fans, myself included, were absolutely disgusted at the way the club behaved in the 80s and early 90s, and also how they handled it after Woodward came forward a few years ago. In fact, it was some Crewe fans that forced Bowler to resign after letters were sent to the supporters association.

Having said all that, what happened at the club has nothing to do with Walsall not being able to beat us yesterday. That was why what he said was abhorrent.

I have seen a few in the past, but not many.

I myself pondered whether I could carry on supporting the club once it all came to light with Woodward coming forward.

But anybody using it to point score because they were annoyed with the ref and a bit of time wasting are just as scummy as those that seeked to defend the actions of the club.

First 30 minutes we were chasing shadows and the Notts goal was a cracker, how is Jatta playing at this level? We started to get back into it after the goal but I was extremely happy that we were only one down at half time. Second half was all us and we should have come away with all 3 points but our finishing is still leaving a lot to be desired and we were denied a stonewall pen. Having said that a very entertaining game.
Good summerise, the chance we missed for 2 0 just before your equaliser though !!
fantastic game to watch, so entertaining from both teams.
Great stadium, tick, belle Vue bar, tick. Fans, tick, free parking five minutes walk, tick.

When is Jodi back... Early January? If we can somehow stick in and around the play offs we will have a chance.

More forwards needed in January and an anxious wait whilst most of the Championship sniff around Jatta

oh I agree we are average, but we seem to be great at defending leads, but when behind we just concede for fun. I don't think you will find many Grimsby fans who won't be shocked if we finish close to the top 7 nevermind in them.
If we can keep within touching distance of the playoffs until Davies, Thompson and Vernam all return then we could well sneak in. If we can have as good a window as we did last January as well then that speculative hope has a bit more substance. Similarly though, I could also see us easily slipping into lower midtable obscurity.

New-Notts in a nutshell that. Some lovely interchanging play and then just whack it into the box for the big man. It's Spain 2004 meets Wimbledon 1988.

Btw everyone who says ‘we haven’t beaten anyone decent’ argument is destroyed by Grimsby being in 7th…

Wtf are Grimsby doing in 7th??
The problem is everyone else going around thinking they're better than they are when in reality it's a fairly standard but tight division. We seem to know what we are and where we're at whereas plenty of others don't. Winning more games than pretty much everyone else also helps too. The fact that with even a tiny bit more home form we'd be right up in the top spots having had an injury crisis and played all but two of the top 14 shows you what a bang average set of sides it is this season.
I thought it was a clear foul on Wright. Whistle went immediately and well before it was put in the net.

Disappointed with AFCW, thought they would be far better than they were, more direct than I expected. Buigel and Stevens are highly rated but didn’t do a lot. Their best player was probably Tilley.

Not a great game but Grimsby defended well after being gifted the opener by a defensive/keeper cock up. 5 away league wins on the bounce isn’t to be sniffed at.

European tie next week seems fitting for the International break weekend.
Would be good to see a better angle, didn't look like a foul at all on Wright from where I was though.
There was loads of time wasting and lying down to kill time and break up play non stop second half.
If we're going down that route then both of your bookings where from incredibly cynical chop downs in your own half when we were overloading and very likely to be in on goal.

He is primed for picking at that level. Definitely worth a gamble based on performances, attributes and age.

He's only playing at this level because we have a good #radar and we paid some money and took a gamble. It's paying off and then some.

The 150,000 euros we paid for him was to the bros Danish club Vibourg, it's like one of the bros handing a wedge to the other:)

Having seen the highlights back that penalty decision is a shocker, the keeper takes him out with both hands and if he doesn’t Ronan has an empty net. Terrible.

That said Stockley missed a chance that was easier to score than miss and you’d put your house on him scoring so he does that we probably park the bus see out a 1-0 and we would be talking about a great away masterclass again so it’s fine margins. We’ve been on the right side a few times and this time we fell the wrong side.

We do seem to be great playing the footballing sides but struggle more against the direct, physical or dark art masters and it’s something we do need to crack as the season gets on, especially now teams will respect us more with our league position etc.

It may be time to bring Smith back into the fold as a pure defender and battler for those kind of games where we need someone who can give it back, throw in his dark art mastery.

I think you're right. Hold on to Jatta and Bass, get in another no 9 as cover and we've every chance of playoffs as a minimum.
The extra striker doesn't have to be fantastic but be able to hold the ball up and run his legs off pressing defenders, chipping in a few on the way. We've been spoiled with Jatta and Langstaff having incredible goals per minutes stats.
We're a third of the way through and not been outclassed or easily beaten by anyone, even with some key players out and some weak benches at times.
