Stockport County.
Played well first half thought we rattled them to be honest. Second half we finally showed a bit of grind which you need although Bradford were poor.

As us County fans have pointed so far, we're no great shakes but neither is the league. 12 games in every game a draw or a one goal swing either way and only Mansfield looked decent. Even in that one we took the lead and hit the post at 2-1 down.

Don’t think we will play against anyone as bad as Rochdale this season, sadly neither will they. Looks like the end of the road for Rowbwerry. That’s 10 defeats in last 11 home league games
I’m sure you will, I’ve seen a few teams worse than us, and I didn’t think it was possible a few weeks ago. We have finally got a bit of fight to make up for the lack of quality in parts. Bentley has inherited this squad and he’s doing a fairly decent job so far, won both our last 2 away games now 1-0 against relegation rivals. Just need to start picking up some home wins.

Interesting post-match comments on Radio Cumbria about the seats.

They reported that a local Hartlepool journalist told them pre-match that the seats under the netting were already in an awful state.

If true, and it's a big if, it doesn't excuse the seat throwing, but it's a bit reckless to leave them there.

I'd love to see some pre-match photos of that area.

James Phillips also reported during the game that the stewards/police seemed happy to allow the Carlisle fans to enter the netted area.

If that's also true, then surely allowing fans into an unsafe area isn't exactly smart.

I was sat at home so got no personal evidence but it's certainly interesting reporting from people who work for the BBC.

They were already in an awful state it's true, your mob smashed them up last season and we had them covered instead of replaced, interesting to note that a sold out Bradford managed not to fuck anything up (maybe a steward or two), despite also whopping us 3-1 and indulging in their own 'scenes'

Face it, your element of scruffy c*** just can't help themselves, it's back to back seasons of damage now.

I'm not saying one way or the other, just mentioning what was reported on radio Cumbria.

I'm pretty sure that Carlisle United covered the cost of the damage last time. Why wasn't the money we sent used to pay for repairs?

Kinda feeling more positive about our start to the season. We're looking pretty solid barring the occasional hiccup and have the possibility of more goals with returning players.

We really are having atrocious luck with injuries though and I don't know if there's been any updates on today's.

Looking to next week, I feel that despite a recent good run, we're playing Doncaster at a really good time to maybe notch 3 wins in 4.

They both looked bad to me. Fin Back just pulled up as he was running towards the away end, definite hamstring pull. I didn’t see where Patrick’s happened , just saw him down then off.

It’s gutting. It never stops.

Think I was generous with the ratings in the other thread. That was back to square one absolutely rotten.

Simpson said both were tightness in the muscles rather than anything serious.

He seemed to think come Monday morning they'd be alright.

Fingers crossed.

Back is a warrior and we don't want Patrick out now he's found his shooting boots.

I think even if they don’t go up there’s a good chance we won’t be playing them next year

Very comfortable win. Sutton direct as you’d expect but didn’t really have a sniff. Turnbull & Simeu imperious again.

We'll be fine once Curle gets his own defenders in the door and sends some of Hartley's disasters back up the road we'll cruise to our rightful place of 22nd.

Third game without scoring for Sutton. First half we were probably the side more on the front foot but ended up 2 down, soft goals. Injuries to 2 centre halves didn’t help. 2nd in added first half time killed the game. 2nd half a stroll for Tranmere and other than 1 sitter we didn’t look like scoring.

Tranmere ok and ok was enough today. Seen better sides, seen worse. Can’t see them scoring or conceding too many.

Wilson back next week is one positive and we could do with getting something at Wimbledon. Problem is we’ll be missing a couple more after today on top of 4 long term injuries.

Beaten by the much better team, thought we were lucky to be 1-0 up and it just went downhill after that, Carlisle look like a promising side.

Seemingly forced upon us but 442 for us just doesn’t work.
Menayese being injured completely fecks the defence up.
We have to go to a flat back four & bring in calamity Tumilty, mind you calamity Killip was just as bad.
Carlisle were bigger, faster & stronger & won at a canter.
If Hellogregory thinks they'll be in a relegation battle, he's living in cloud cuckoo land, they were streets ahead of Donny.
Fortunately for us, not every team will be as good as Carlisle, but God we were shyte.
Massive reality check today.

Dire today as we are generally, I said last week we can’t keep playing so poorly and grinding out results, it’ll catch up and today proved it. Can go on about the ref but have to credit Stockport who wanted it a lot more but we’ve so many fanny’s in this side who think they’re better than they are.
Ball retention as it is every game is horrendous, same culprits every time namely the full backs (throw in all the defenders today), both Smallwood (Championship captain don’t ya know, well f*cking show it) and his mate Gillead knocking three yard passes back to the defence for 90 mins and thinking that’s enough, Songo’o showed more heart in 45 mins than those two combined ever. Too many today you didn’t even notice they were on the pitch.
Again last week I said we don’t have a third gear because we ‘never get out of second’, well today we never even got close to that and I just don’t see how we’re going to step it up as we keep doing the same thing and expecting different results.

Genuinely don't think we're good enough this year. If we don't up the performances then we'll be out of the top ten pretty soon. If we perform like we have the last few weeks I can't see us getting anything against Salford or Grimsby.

Just heard Simpson say he’s worried and omari has told him it feels the same as his last injury. So that’ll be another few weeks out for him. Shame and another addition to our conveyer belt of injured players.

What’s happened to Sterry? Been out with a bad back for weeks now, probably through carrying the fuckers every week.

Killip has been a lot better this season but he still flaps at every cross and has a banana foot, never seen a keeper kick the ball out of play so much.

Good win vs Swindon today. First half we were the better side, went 1-0 up through a Roberts header, ball was played into the box, Roberts I think it was won the first header but was more of a defensive header than attacking one, luckily Rose hooked it back across goal and Roberts was free at the back post and guided his header home to give us the lead. A keeping error gave Reid the opportunity to make it 2 but between him and the defender on the line they managed to keep it at 1. We had a few half chance thereafter but were unable to add to the lead. I thought Swindon ended the half the better of the two sides, plenty threatening but at no point did they work the keeper or fashion an actual opening.

Second half started like the first ended, Swindon the better of the two sides, Hutton was getting in down our left but again was the case that they weren't working the keeper or troubling us too much. We got our second on the hour mark, Gilbey robbed their midfielder of the ball and drove towards the box, he played Reid in whose cross come shot was turned in by Roberts for his second of the game. After that it was a containment job for us, restricted Swindon to a few shots from range, happy to pick and choose when to attack. I think we were very fortunate not to concede a penalty shortly after we got the second, looked very much like a handball from Rose. If that's awarded we could have been looking at a very different end to the game.

Going in to this I was concerned we might drop points, not only were the concerns unfounded but with the win we end the night top of the table. Couldn't be happier tonight, I know there's a long way to go but it's so refreshing being able to focus on the top half of the table rather than the bottom!
Youre side were very effective without being outstanding. Certainly bullied our side who looked like rabbits in the headlights at times. 70% possession away from home, yet 0 shots on target was very poor imo. Thought that we would win today but we were poor from minute 1. In fact it was our worst performance since the opening day although the vast majority of our support are already brushing this one under the carpet and moving on. One negative from your perspective was some of the chants from your support on the half way line. I appreciate that you went top of the table but chants like "2-0 in your big day out" were out of order. Our 900 fans totalled 25% of the attendance. That doesn't make it our big day out, it was yours!

It always surprises me when people post on a football forum but appear to be disinterested in football as they "have more important things to attend to". Havent you got any mates that you can talk to on Whatsapp about your fascinating afternoon?

To be fair Dearne has previously posted that some incredibly distressing event had happened to them recently, you may of missed it, just a heads up.

He had to play whilst injured in the utter fuckwit pre season tour of Portugal & its knocked him back weeks.

I hope you never have to go through the week I’ve had which culminated in probably the hardest day of my life today, I’m sorry you feel I’m disinterested in football I’m certainly not but there are occasions where it becomes the last thing on your mind, enjoy your evening

Very disappointed to be a Cumbrian tonight. We want to be known as a county of rolling hills and silver lakes, not seat-throwing scumbags.

Did you have any issues with the penalty.

The presenter on the EFL highlights called it “shocking “

Just surprised me at his opinionated he was !

Not sure if he meant the decision itself ot fact Stockport scored or won tbh .
