Basically, where we are is that we have a shape and we are organised but we can not break down organised defences trying to hang on to a lead or only looking for a draw.

So far in 2023 I am pretty sure Harris has a 100% record for not getting beat after we score the first goal, but we have only come back to win once after conceding the first goal.

So the reason why we are where we are is that we have scored the first goal on more occasions than we have conceded it.

This has created a friction between those fans who think you can get promoted just by winning high scoring games, like Swindon are doing, and those that accept that League Two does not really work like that over a full season. Oh, and our defence and midfield is of higher quality than our attack anyway.
But there had to be an element of entertainment. After watching the horrendous crap of Lindsey/Morris and the nonsense of Garner it’s like all your Xmas’ rolled into one at the moment. Great to watch and still managing to win. We’ll get a hiding soon enough when either we don’t click or the opposition take more of the chances we offer up than opponents have done so far.

Can we get promoted carrying on like this? Doubtful if I’m being honest, but I think we’ve got a couple of free agents signing this week that may help tighten things up - as long as that doesn’t take away from the cavalier approach.

As fans, we’ll whinge soon enough when it godd to shit!

That third Mansfield goal was outrageous, what a connection.

Funny thing is, I don't think the last 3 first halves have been that bad. General play they've been fine, just lacking a bit in both boxes to keep the opposition out and score one ourselves. Hopefully that will come with increasing confidence.
Yes, you were moving it around pretty well and already getting on top in midfield, just making the wrong choices final third then unlucky with that bar/rebound.

It was crazy, not celebrated like that for a while.

Let’s be honest though (bit like i said about elsas goal against us from grimsby) 99 out of a 100 that’s either being sliced, going nowhere or out of the ground.

Still, the 1 out of a 100 came off.

To win 3-0 away at accrington is real confidence booster, we’ve a terrible record there and no-one was expecting much.

Two 5's and a 6 for us so far. Next week will be my first game so 0-0 nailed.

This brand of footie is great from what i have seen. We'll for sure have some heavy defeats as the season progresses but glad the Town fans are getting some value for money. An average of 5.1 goals in our games so far is some going!
I'm reasonably confident that we wont have any heavy defeats this season. Defeats yes, heavy no

Didn’t expect Accy to be as poor as that. It’s a place we never win at so I’d have taken a point before the game anyway but that was a complete away performance. Should have been more but 3 will do

What I will say is we had a number of players out injured and two of the three who started up front have made 1 start for us between them and we finished with a winger up front.
We've also got half our attack force either out injured or not fully match fit. We only have one combo of a front three/four to start at the moment it seems.

I was strolling round the footgolf course at Filey watching the match on my phone so didn't really pay too much attention. Not surprised at all by the outcome though, our poor record at Bradford continues. Both goals were good, very well worked move from us for ours and Gillead's finish was great.

On another day we get the three points there but as I've said in previous weeks, this is the nature of Hurstball. It's great when it works but utterly frustrating when it doesn't. Nobody else to blame but ourselves and a draw looked to be a fair result on reflection. I didn't think it was quite as poor a game as some are making out but that could well be down to the fact that I'm used to these low scoring affairs. I watched the Newcastle v Liverpool highlights the other week and it was honestly like watching football on fast forward, I've been in a right L2 bubble for the past year or so.

A point at Bradford is never a bad result for us, but what's been a decent start to the season could have been a good start.

Breathtaking stuff once again from the samba Stags.

I was unfortunate enough to watch most of that in the pub before our game. Not a great advert for L2 football. I was willing a Bradford win tbh, just so Sparky doesn’t get sacked and any new man recalling Jake Young in January!

It's definitely year of the Stag. On top of most of the stat ratings, spanking good teams away from home and all this with half a team and Jordan Bowery at centre back

1-1, great counter attack from Wimbledon corner.

I’ll put the razor away now..
Your equaliser yesterday is a good example of what can happen when your fastest defender takes a corner, and why it's not a great idea... Stockport countered very well down the side our full back was AWOL from and scored, and the instinctive finish for your second was lovely.
We had potentially 6 or 7 from our best 11 injured, not fit enough to start, ineligible or on international duty, but it doesn't excuse such an aimless performance. Johnson saved up his worst game so far for his former club and Tilley had a nightmare, selfish and missed a sitter with the last kick of the game.
I'm worried we are slipping in to bad habits again: taking the lead and then drawing or losing. That's 5 points dropped from the last two after going in front.

Until he makes a absolutely massive mistake, that we cannot blame him for due to being a striker.

Won't be too long till I can cash in on my Mansfield Top 3 and Mansfield Promoted season long bets.

Incredibly impressive for such an injury ravaged side, especially impressive with the games they drew and should have won by all accounts

Yesterday was a good performance, being critical the set pieces were again dire, we really need to work on those tbh.

It’s far too early for anyone to read anything into the table now, though of course those towards the top aren’t exactly going to complain

I’m dreading Bradford getting a manager who knows what he’s doing.

We’re losing ours this week and he is our Supporters Trust man.

Summat going on behind the scenes - as it always seems to at our club.
