Fed up of hearing that (don't mean that with any disrespect!) but coming away with nothing. It feels very much like Rochdale last season, how many times did people post on here that Rochdale looked better/okay.

Not saying we are going to get relegated but it certainly feels extremely bleak right now.

I expect you to grow into the game as we will be absolutely cooked in this heat and have nothing on the bench to bring on.

Found that a bizarre performance from Grimsby. Well on top first half and deservedly ahead.

Granted we changed formation at half time and came out much better (from an admittedly very low bar) but that wasn't Grimsby trying to hold onto a lead, they just gave up all semblance of a performance until 10 minutes before the end. I'd have been fuming if I were a Grimsby fan with that second half showing.

Fair result in the end. City with more possession, more passes, more shots and more corners.

Alot of posts remarking on our negativity second half, but the game was played in 30c heat and we didn’t have any attacking options on the bench, other than “ don’t tell em your name Pyke” who has scored 4 league goals in 120 games. We’ve spent our FA Cup windfall mainly on an impressive array of defensive and holding midfield talent, Danny Rose, two current sicknotes and Abi Eisa. We’ve haven’t really got the squad to be anything but negative at some point.

Totally, only thing worse than the club having to play at that level for the first time#stain

Turns out you win loads more games, you score loads of goals, your crowds go up and up, you reach the playoffs every season you are there, you lose some playoffs (3) you win some playoffs (well 1) and looking back it was actually pretty darn good. Certainly done wonders for the club which I would never have ever imagined when he finally got relegated.

Great result on paper, with the comical defending for their goal and a couple of Langstaff chances not going in it feels a bit like a missed opportunity. But that's probably a bit of PTSD from last season.

Scrappy win but just about deserved.

Fletcher looks in great condition for a 36 year old who hasn't had a preseason. Once we get him and Mullin (fantastic to see him have half an hour) fit we will look a much stronger team.
