Bitter sweet day. Bitter: all four of us have Covid. Saw our empty seats several times, especially after our second. Sweet: fairly obvious. We are very very hard to beat at HP, consolation for Ipswich first away team to score here this season.

Well I think to get nothing from the game is a robbery. First goal probably a foul. Feels like every week we’re getting these decisions go against us. A month ago the disallowed goal v Barnsley, last week the offside goal and then today arguably a foul.

No way we deserve to lose that. Sickening.

To be fair, if that Morsy tackle was checked by VAR then it's probably a red. There is no way on earth that Evans was a red though, despite what commentators are saying. So not as clear cut as a robbery for me. Draw was probably the fair result, but two moments of pure quality have beaten us.

Hope you are well soon.

Can tell they were 2 teams in form at the top.

Some excellent football and not afraid to get stuck in.

Keeper almost saved Ipswich.

Well you could have been down to 10 or 9 too .

Another day potentially 10v9 at HT.

That was a real quality game that. Great header by Walton at the end, very unlucky but reckon Plymouth deserved it in the end. Some cracking play from both sides and some proper tackles flying in as, a very good watch. The contrast between how these two look and how we looked yesterday is laughable.

thanks SH, only one of us is ill and that really flu like, but the second goal celebrations led to an extensive coughing fit for Mrs mushroom. it took us several minutes before the three of us noticed as we were jumping up and down :) she’s alive.

I’m pretty certain Coops saved Walton’s very good header.

Cheated out of the fact you went into admin after, and you had players you could not afford to pay or keep. Living beyond your means at that time.
And yep. We will be in league 2 next season.
More or less every club in that league spends beyond their means, means your club is without fault if your owner covers the difference, But you are dastardly cheats if your owner doesn't. and your club needs to be punished. well after the owner has left with his pot of gold.. It's a very fair system,

It looks behind Coops by the time he gets there for me. Camera inconclusive though.
picture the club put up on the website suggests to me his hand got there first and just made a slight deviation.

Decent half that. Massively missing burns down the wing. Best wing back in the league being out on international break would hurt a lot of teams but we play down the wings so it’s a huge loss. Jackson in there rather than Vincent Young was a bold shout though. Not sure it’s working so far.

Chaplin looking a class apart yet again. Some of those balls in behind were superb. The one early on that out Ladapo in was superb, albeit Freddie missed the one on one. His goal was fortunate to say the least.
Burns best wing back in the league...............Teenager over at Bolton will go for a 8 figure fee in the next five years
Maybe break his countrys Record cap figure.........Chances he will win honours at the top table of football........Sit on the shithouse and wonder who the fuck is Wes Burns

Wes Burns is the best wing back belonging to his own club in League One.

Connor Bradley is just the fit bird flirting with you in the club for free drinks, you'll perhaps get your fingers wet and a quick kiss but you ain't getting in her knickers.

Great advert for league one that. Two half decent sides who can mix the dirty stuff with the free flowing football we saw at times today. Ipswich will be right up there come May, hopefully we have the longevity to match them

Burns didn’t even get a minute for Wales during these internationals! Ridiculous!

Can a club reject a player call up? They take arguably our best player during a time we needed him and then have him sit there.

Good to see your fans were there yesterday. Although still on the decline

I wasn't gonna bite to this but here goes.

It is commendable to see Ipswich get some decent attendances for the first time in a long while but doesn't that show how bad it was for such a long time before the last twelve months.

You have a whole county to draw support from and given how desolate and barren Suffolk is you'd expect them to be champing at the bit to get some excitement in their lives.

For us to be averaging over 20k after being out of the top flight since 20000 and suffering three relegations to this level in that time should be praised not sneered at. We've had 2 tilts at regaining our top flight place in that time with the rest being mainly mid table or lower end shite.

Sheffield has two teams and within half an hour a further 5 league clubs it's amazing the numbers all these clubs get, the same in Lancashire given the number of teams drawing support.

What a high octane game of league 1 football. Fantastic result for us. You could see Ipswich are a quality outfit and eventually I think will probably finish higher than us but we need to ride this wave while we can.

First half we were good in periods but didn't put the full package together, missing a few good opportunities. Ladapo of course then got his goal somewhat fortuitously and Ipswich took control. Occasionally when you're in this league you see sides come to your home ground and you think 'yeah these lot are Championship material'. Midway through the first half I did have that thought as the Ipswich midfield appeared to dominate ours, they looked well organised and when you look at the names they have it wasn't too surprising. The last time I had that thought was Barnsley when they went up and dismissed us 3-0 at home, the time before that it was when Wigan beat us at home (the season they went up with Blackburn).

The start of the second half continued in much the same fashion but once again Schuey changed the game with his subs and change of formation, the atmosphere rose and we turned the game on its head with another of our 20 minutes spells where teams just can't seem to cope with our pace and movement.

Incredible save from Cooper at the end from Walton's header, and midway through the second half we had a great block from I think Lonwijk to stop what looked a certain goal.

End to end stuff, tackles flying in, cracking atmosphere - great game where a draw might have been a fair result but on the balance of good chances I thought if there had to be a winner then we were deserving.

To the Ipswich fan who asked why we don't like Morsy - I'm pretty sure it dates back to his Wigan days where he seemed to be tasked with doing nothing but trying to injure Panutche Camara of all people, his now team mate. He was a dirty sod that day and still was yesterday, should have been a red for that challenge.

Also Bali Mumba might want a say on the league 1's best wing back debate :D 2 goals and 5 assists so far.

Are people still testing for that? Wow! Why did 4 of you stay at home if only one of you was ill? Strange times we live in!

Anyway, I'm glad Plymouth are doing well. They're a club that we should aspire to. Incrementally increased their fan base gradually, stadium looking very good, brought in some quality players bit by bit in order to compete at the top end. It's where I want us to be in 4 or 5 years time.

It’s going to shit, lots of poor organisation on and off the pitch along with a real lack of communication. We aren’t spending money on a lot of basics around the stadium with the excuse being we’re building a new one at some point, but it’s sounding very vague on when that will actually happen. We’ve had trouble recruiting, training and retaining enough match day bar/catering staff apparently which means everything takes far too long and the stewards are often too jobsworthy which doesn’t help either. Parking and ticketing is a pain for a lot of fans. Our online ticketing is constantly having issues, our steaming service is unreliable too and it’s really hard to get any answers from anyone at the club with complaints or questions. If you’re trying to get more fans in you need a user friendly ticketing service. The amount of glitches with this one is more likely to put regulars off rather then attract newer fans to keep coming.

Online content wise our official site doesn’t display the latest news properly and most of it is rarely updated, we only added our ‘new’ manager + assistant to the squad profile page last week ffs and several of our squad still aren’t there. Which isn’t helpful when there have been so many ins and outs. Was better when it was run by volunteers. They couldn’t even get the date for the meet the manager next month right initially, put the wrong info out for stuff like that and you’ll piss a lot of people off when they miss it. Basic stuff.

You do start wondering if Vince is losing interest, certainly some of this stuff should have been sorted ages ago, but no one seems to care, senior staff/board members are hard to get hold of or get anything other then empty promises to ‘look into it’ unless they are collecting industry awards like our CEO the other week. People can understand when things don’t work perfectly, but even when we were in non league you at least felt that fans were being listened too and the board gave a crap even if they weren’t able to get it quickly fixed.
Didn't realise things were going as bad as that, Chris!

Sounds like they all had it - some might still test if around vulnerable people etc.

Plymouth certainly a team on the up and maybe even better after Lowe left

Excellent game yesterday. Ironically enough, despite the obvious contrast in quality to the Saturday game, two of the goals still came from luck/silly errors. I didn't think it was a foul for Plymouth's first, those free-kicks annoy the hell out me and the player at no point even looked at the ball.

Is it generally the same squad as last season for Plymouth?

Criteria seems to have been he's managed in Sweden & Norway and his Notts team had good possession stats so he's probably the next Graham Potter. Problem is a lot of Notts fans felt he underachieved and couldn't organise a defence which is proving the case with us so far.

One of our better players got interviewed before our weekend game and was asked why we’re looking a lot better this season, and his answer was basically ‘we have tactics and a plan without the ball now, it’s not just all out attack’.

As far as I could tell, IB did no work on defensive shape and structure, or pressing, whatsoever. He just about got away with it here with one of the best sets of players in the division (although most would say we finished lower than we should’ve done), going up two leagues and into a team likely to be weaker than their opponents on paper most weeks was always going to be a disaster.

You mean playing Ben Turner in a high line isn't the answer?
