Only one team in this ATM but at 1-0 Celtic have a chance if they wake up ..
Ah well, the snooze button never activated. Been a long time coming but by fuck did I enjoy it. Gers dominated from start to finish and got the result the richly deserved. 1- 0 going on 5 or 6 -0 but for some great saves from Craig Gordon. Celtic scored but linesman called correctly as he was just offside. Must be honest I hate these 'baw hair' offside decisions but it really would have been a travesty if Celtic had left with any points. Our goal was sublimely set up by wee Ryan Kent, who had a great game, for Ryan Jack, who was immense in midfield, to side foot the ball into the net. I hope we can keep a hold of Kent because he is some talent! Two MOTM for me....Andy Halliday and Scott Arfield. Winter break now up here so I can only hope that the same desire and spirit continues thereafter. Overall, a display that was really pleasing to this bluenose!

Hopefully Defoe’s move to The Gers can lead them to the title.
Totally agree. Along with Steven Davies, two excellent signings which seriously bolster the squad. Always liked Defoe with whoever he played with in England and seriously looking forward to seeing him knock in the goals for the Famous.

Is it a clever idea for Rangers to be signing old has-beens who are on their way down but are still commanding huge wages?

Is it a clever idea ? Hmmm....that remains to be seen but both are loan deals so no transfer fees involved. Their wages will be nothing like what they were receiving in England & I am 'presuming' that they will be affordable. Both have been nowhere near regulars at their respective parent clubs and obviously want more first team play. We have also signed a couple of younger players ....Jordan Jones (24) on a pre-contract & Glen Kamara (23) who may join this month otherwise it will be a pre-contract. Both Defoe (tbh I'm quite excited about this one) & Davis will still be able to do a turn up here & help us push on in an attempt to get closer to Celtic (over the season) and hopefully overtake them. Steven Gerrard will have had the final say on any signings so due to the fact that he has done well since arriving and been taken to heart by the support then I for one have no problems with it.

Tie of the round for me is Ross Cnty v Inverness C T. Will be a sell out so I hope the TV companies use common sense and show it live.

Killie just continue to surprise everyone even with the loss of Greg Stewart. They recovered well after Rangers started strongly and took the few opportunities that came their way after negating Rangers by squeezing the amount of space in the middle that Rangers could operate in. How much more can Steve Clarke do?
As for Rangers, the team seemed a bit disjointed and I’m not sure that pitching in Defoe and Davis helped. Defoe in particular was isolated and although he displayed his predatory instincts well to poach his goal, I don’t recall him doing anything else all match. I find it difficult to see how he and Morelos will combine as a striking partnership.

Rangers were excellent for 20 minutes then Worrall makes a total fuck up, and Kilmarnock are back in the game. After that it was the same Rangers I've seen a few times this season, devoid of creativity and chances. The bheasts will be happy with the results last night, Kilmarnock are having a great season but can't see them keeping pace with them for much longer.

Didn't see the game but recorded it but tbh doubt if I shall watch it. Rangers have to win these games especially with Celtic winning (as expected) to try and keep a foothold up close to the top but having lost last night, dropped a point at home against Hibs, lost at home to Aberdeen yet played Celtic off the park and won at Ibrox I am babboozled. Said it before and I'll repeat from what I recall, games that I've seen with Rangers playing on these artificial pitches they never seem relaxed/confident (the League cup win @ Rugby Park apart). Anyway, on to Livingston on Sunday....now what type of playing surface do they have....Hmmmm!

PS....all credit to Stevie Clark and Kilmarnock....they are where they are on merit!

Well, only 7 days to go.....

From page 26 of this thread, posted by a psychoanalyst's wet dream...

'Never mind whether he is a success or not, still being in the job in January would be utterly astonishing - and worthy of praise in itself.'

Now I wonder if this praise shall be forthcoming or even an admission that he fucked up once again in his theoretical 'certainty' when there is no announcement made that Steven Gerrard has left Rangers.

Obviously don't know what was actually said but I've heard Neil Lennon being interviewed on a few occasions either if Hibs had lost or played poorly & he always comes across as speaking his mind and telling it how it is in his opinion. It may be that he's gone over the score in his criticism on this occasions but as is the norm in this pussy footing society we live in, some players went telling tales to the CEO Leanne Dempster.....aw, diddums! I've not a clue as to what went on with that discussion but he (Lennon) has received a size six kitten heel up his derriere.....for the time being. It will be interesting to see how the team perform this afternoon against St Mirren.

First half was absolutely dire but St Mirren went in at halftime 1-0 up. Game livened up 2nd half and Hibs started to actually play & deservedly got an equaliser. Thereafter they controlled the game and ran out 1-3 winners. Good result for me as I had a nice bet on over 2.5 goals.

Far better performance from Rangers on Livingston's pathetic excuse for a pitch....black pellets every where whenever the ball is kicked or a challenge is made....utterly disgraceful requiring any team to play on that. There, got that off my chest so on to the actual game. Basically it was dominated by Rangers who appeared far more confident yesterday and eventually went in front thanks to a fine shot by Jack but which should have been saved by the Livvy keeper but it squirmed under his body & into the net. Earlier McCrorie with a header and Morelos with a shot which hit the post could have put the Gers in front. Halftime 0-1 but more of the same 2nd 45 and Kent, who had a decent game, scored a fine goal the Morelos rounded the keeper to make it 3. All in all, a better day at the office.

Turns out that Hibs have jumped they gun. Both Lennon & Parker have been exonerated of any wrong doings & the suspension was actually lifted during the internal enquiry. Hibs have issued a statement to this effect. One has to ask....why the fuck were they suspended in the first place ? They have left the club and their contracts will be paid in full. Bit of an embarrassment for Petrie & Dempster imo.

Well, well, well......here we are 6 days after deadline & Heavens to Murgatroyd Steven Gerrard is still manager at Rangers. Hasn't been sacked, hasn't left in the huff citing Scottish football as pish, hasn't left by mutual consent. Must also add that no comment has been forthcoming from the orginal poster on this point. No surprise tbh!

Interesting day for penalties at Ibrox!

How many were given correctly...

Seems to have caused a lot of fuss.

I was intending to do a post about the game SH but with the site not being available I kind of lost the inclination mate. To (try) and answer your question....Yeah it caused a lot of fuss but anything that is given that benefits Rangers always seems to cause a lot of fuss....but the whingers don't have a lot to say when we are royally shafted. I'll give a couple of quick instances...
1) The arseholey at St Mirren a couple of months ago when Candeias was wrongly sent off after a 2nd yellow (SFA accepted Collum's explanation that it was for Candeias sticking his tongue out at Ferdinand...ie unsporting behaviour....). Rangers appealed but turned down. Requested a meeting with the authorities to try and sort out a similar occurrence in the future happening....turned down!

2) Old Firm game at Ibrox not long ago. Celtic felt aggrieved with some decisions by the ref. Demanded a meeting....This was agreed to!

Anyway.....from what I seen in the short tv clips....1st, 3rd & 4th were justified imo. The 2nd wasn't but tbf NOBODY claimed for a penalty. Now we have Steve Clarke insinuating that Defoe dived (what the fuck it is to do with him is beyond me) and the compliance officer should be looking at the incident. He can go and do one!

Bascially most managers are so one eyed and biased they only see things through rose tinted glasses.

Only have to look at Klopp's reaction after Liverpool's game v West Ham even though they benefited from a offside decision not given!

Good result for Rangers at Pittodrie last night...2-4. Recorded the game so I'll watch it later today.

Scottish cup at Killie yesterday evening. Finished 0-0. Going by the radio commentary it sounded a 50/50 game. Replay 20th.
