What's come over you?
I've never questioned the quality of the squad we have just the depth of it, which I still do.

Robinson, although mostly words so far has been a breath of fresh air and I feel far more confident with him in charge. January will be interesting as Lookman will be gone and we'll see how he's allowed to add numbers and strengthen.
only seen Charlton once but agree with you Bobbin. Lamby was probably too inebriated to remember Saturday.

Drinking makes the North seem better than it actually is

Robinson is effectively just words though until what he said doesn't happen then he'll find an excuse

The main things going for him was that he could bring in and improve young players. After Andy King died we didn't bring in any, proving one of his biggest selling points wasn't actually down to him. He's a good coach, not a very good manager

The description reeks of David Flitcroft. Used a lot of motivating words but would never accept when he got it wrong which was quite a lot.

Seems to be the way with a few young English managers. Media driven.
Neilson luckily looks like he couldn't care less about the media and wants to let the football do the talking. It's that fact that's making me believe that however unlikely it is, we aren't out of the play off picture yet

To be fair to him, with key players misssing, our performance at Bradford was far superior to that of any under Slade.

What surprises me as he has a shockingly awful record against Bradford. Robinson is one dimensional, it is an issue of his, but I still think he's a good manager who will do well with you.

We had an outside chance of staying up before we appointed a bald manager. Relegation as good as confirmed now.

A decent day for ourselves - and Southend - as well...:-)

Four more wins and we ought to be safe. Get them quickly, push on, and who knows?

We will be relegated by early April. We will lose every away game by at least 3.

We are lurking. 11 unbeaten 4 wins on the spin. The big boys won't want to come to our place in Jan. Even without Ranger, Fortune came in and was unplayable in the first half today.

MAF was superb today and shows we're not reliant on Ranger (who is almost unplayable by the opposition at times from what I've seen of him this season) and perhaps more reliant on Cox being fit and playing at the moment. There'll be some real competition for places once everyone's fully fit and I've read that Brown is looking at trying to bring a couple more players in during January. Need to get MAF signed up until the end of the season at the very least asap in my opinion.

Slade has one he'll of a job on his hands at Coventry. It's possible though, to be fair they never gave up yesterday, but they just didn't have a clue what they were doing.

Fingers crossed they can stay up, they've been through a hell of a lot recently, the fans deserve better

We have to come to yours in January. Your home form is very good. Our next three away games are Bureh, Wossel, and Saaaaarfend.
The latter looks the more difficult. Fortunately Notlob have to go there as well.
Saaaarfend pasted us back in August 0-3 at BDTBL, at a time when we looked more like relegation certs than promotion candidates. We lost 3 of our first four and drew t'other.

Scunny on a bit of a slide at the moment lets hope it continues.

Bolton have lost 5 since the end of August whereas we have lost once in the same period.

Our support just gets better

Nah who cares about Coventry and their pitch invading fans trying to get our game stopped after several thousand Blades had paid good money to attend the match.

To be honest they had 34 years feeding at the top table time for a bit of humility methinks

Bolton and Blades will cement top two I reckon, both have been in great form to hunt Scunny down over the last couple of months and have the financial advantage to push on now.

We were top for 3 months straight and haven't been out of the top 4 all season. I don't quite think we're done yet.

Win tomorrow with Sheff United and Bolton failing to win, we're top again. There's still a hell of a long way to go yet.

Massive game for your lads tomorrow
Because Peterboro are a decent team with a good away record, so you'll need to play well.

It's funny how as soon as Scunthorpe have a 3 match wobble, then out come the "watch them start sliding down the table" comments. The thing about tomorrow is

Beat Peterboro, especially if it's by 3 goals plus, then out come the "normal service is resumed" comments
And confidence and belief will be restored setting you up for a strong promotion push.

But if you draw or even lose to The Posh, then all the doom mongers will be out saying Scunthorpe will be last years Conventry and will slide down the table. Confidence will take another hit and as we all know confidence does have an affect on performance. Altho let's be straight based on the past 12 months Scunthorpe should remain serious top 2 contenders all season.

Thanks for explaining how Scunthorpe's season depends on one game at the beginning of January. I'm sure Mr Alexander will take your analysis very seriously.

If Scunnie stay on a bad run then the seeds of doubt will appear and it's then become harder get break out of the poor run (Bury being a prime example).

Just basic psychology of how confidence affects performance.
I'm sure Mr Alexander is well aware already and trying to retain their positivity.
It's Scunthorpes worse sequence of results of the season and they'll be hoping a home win puts them back on track but as I said Posh are no mugs, one of the better away teams in league 1.

I'm hoping for a good Coventry City result tomorrow.

So am I!

A win for Bury and a draw at Scunny v Posh would also be rather nice...:-)

FFS twice in three days we concede injury time goals to drop four points
Slade is starting to shift out the shite we have and if we play like we have in the last two games we should be OK and survive. plus he said more incomings this week but who will take the dross we have left off us as most wouldn't get in a pub side.
Survive this year, and we can have a go of it next season. Mowbary messed up big time with the most calamitous summer signings in our recent history. None of them were over 5 foot tall
