I'd fuck off 90% of our squad too, given the chance.

We are in a relegation battle no doubt about it. 9 defeats in 11 and playing an awful brand of football.

FFS twice in three days we concede injury time goals to drop four points
Slade is starting to shift out the shite we have and if we play like we have in the last two games we should be OK and survive. plus he said more incomings this week but who will take the dross we have left off us as most wouldn't get in a pub side.
Survive this year, and we can have a go of it next season. Mowbary messed up big time with the most calamitous summer signings in our recent history. None of them were over 5 foot tall
Slade is a good manager and you are at least bringing players in to give you a chance of staying up. Its tight down there but i think you will just about stop up.

Don't let the table fool you. We are in serious trouble. Unless changes are made quick, only 4 worse teams can save us.

Long term gains.
One win in ten for Swindon.
8 of your last 12 posts have been about Swindon fella, I might suggest that's a tad obsessive.

As for being relegation candidates that's a given, has been since the start of the season. Losing Doughty and Furlong is a big blow but when you've got Tactics Tim at the helm there's no need to panic. :animatedf:

You went further into my posting history than I went into your teams results - get your own house in order first champ

Long shot but I think Sheffield United might go up.

Bolton 6 points behind with an inferior goal difference, they do have a game in hand, but have an extra Cup match to play.
Bolton HAVE to win that game in hand, otherwise ....

Scunny 4 points behind

All the rest on a par

Otherwise the remaining 20 odd games are irrelevant?

We have been absolutely awful for months now but bringing in Gladwin and the 3 Chelsea lads plus hopefully a new CB and a striker and this may give us the kick up the arse we need.

Amazingly we are 4 points clear of the relegation zone which suggests awful teams below us.

Tough few games coming up including Rovers away and Mr Tinpot's lot at home. Key games that could shape how big a battle we face.

5 points above the drop zone and our next 5 games are MK away, Coventry at home, Walsall away and then Chesterfield and Swindon at home. Should be targeting at least 3 wins from these games to propel us away from the drop zone.

I think we will go down but if that means SISU go which it sounds they would I would take that now.
England Under18 coach randomly tweeted today that there is good news at last coming to Cov, and he's heard that Red Bull are going to buy us and Wasps. This has been a rumour in Cov for months but why that came up today from no one related to the club is strange.
Cov the ninth biggest city with only one club , plus a leading rugby club would be attractive to some, but it won't come cheap. SISU say they have invested 70 million which has been proved as BS but it will take a bid of at least ten million to get rid of them, and how much to buy Wasps, at least 20-30 million as they have a huge loan share to repay.
I'm dreaming I know but relegation if it would bring in new owners the majority would take that.
Fifty years supporting this club and this is the lowest I've ever been, but we must keep supporting the club whatever, even if it means trips to Forest Green and Morecombe next season

We have 3 home games now against gills,Fleetwood and Wimbledon. Then the toughest run we could have in pboro , scunny, Bolton and rochdale. 5 wins a draw and a loss and I'll be more than happy.

Seeing as this forum seems to be getting quieter as the season goes on (there's more action in a frannies Y-fronts), to liven things up next season I'd like to see;

-Rotherham down & Carlisle up; just so SERNWA & Carver can be together. It'll be like living in Ancient Greece & watching Aristotle & Plato debating the meaning of life.
-Bristol City down; Rovers & City have some of the best fans on 1FF, plus with Swindon (hopefully) & Oxford in L1 it'd be a Thames Valley hate- in.
-Luton & Cambridge up; two great sets of fans; I've a feeling this is Luton's year to enjoy a winning day out at Wembley in the play-off final.

And, after doing the double over them on Saturday, the prize for worst losers ever goes to Oxford United for some of their fans reactions after we pulverized the poor snowflakes at Kingsmeadow, so here's a lovely sour grapes mnemonic just for them;
Silly
Oxford
United
Really
Got
Roughly
Assfucked,
Poor
Effeminate
Shits.

I may have imagined this but I reckon over the past couple of years Oxford have had an extraordinary number of opposition players sent off in their games. No doubt someone will pop up and either confirm it or slag me off. The number of times they have ended up playing against 10 men - or in our case 9 - is way above average.

I don't think it is much different either way compared to any other club.

Ironic to see Wimbledon's poor little lambs are crying like babies about the Ref and Sutton out muscling/being dirtier than them last night.

Pot, Kettle, Black etc.

Exhausted players who have been dragged round the pitch by superior passing and movement are going to make mistakes.

Also, Wimbledon fan writes a poem about how we must be bitter because we don't acknowledge what a special club they are. Cant see a hint of irony. Lovely stuff.
