Dread to think what our ST sales are like. I've never really kept up to speed with them since we really pushed them under Jackson and Tilson and we were selling around 2k a year. Probably around the 1k mark nowadays I'd have thought.

531 sold in the first week, 25% to new holders and well over double the amount from the same period last year

Do you know how many your clubs sold up to now?

Here at Tranmere we're up to around 1,700 with still a couple of week of early bird prices, think we'll sell around 2,000-2,500 by the start of the season, well down on previous seasons but that was to be expected.

2000 sold for us now with a week left of the early bird deals. Probably end up around 2300, around the same as last season.

Any idea how much money your club makes from season ticket sales? We've passed £450,000's worth today after selling another 50, which probably equates to just under half of the budget.

Thing is, why don't we keep the early bird prices up until the start of the season, we're not going to sell many after the offer ends

I presume all clubs do the same, I know we do anyway.

Because then it wouldn't be an early bird...? So people would have no incentive to buy early and help clubs with the early summer cash flow problems. They'd just keep the money in their pocket right up until the latest possible minute.

I know what you're all saying but I doubt none of our clubs will sell many after the offers

By some minor miracle, ours are 'on par' with last season, whatever figure that is.

Surprised more haven't gone down our route of everyone paying monthly. No cash flow problems as the money comes in all year round

We do a monthly option i.e. spread the cost but you could cancel your monthly standing orders?

If other monthly options are anything like ours then they're run by credit companies such as Zebra.

In that case, the money is paid up front by the credit company and you are then paying them the monthly payments (hence the interest price). If you cancel the standing order, etc... then it will effect your credit rating like any other loan default. The club thought get the benefit of the payment for summer.

Our last update was 1100 tickets sold at a value of £230k

For a team who are nailed on to win the League according to many of your fans that`s pretty poor. Especially considering you are going to bring 5000 (so says one deluded half wit on your site) to our place last match of the season. Surely your team are so brilliant you will have well won the Championship before than. As Kevin Keegan said "I`d love it if we beat them. Love it "

Think we could be at 2,100 by the end of the day.

IF we are anywhere as close to last seasons number that is as said a minor miracle. I was expecting it to be hugely down on numbers. Looks like there is a bit of positivety with the signings and the fundraising efforts so hopefully that can continue into the start of the season.

We were at 900 by the end of the Early Bird.

I'm not sure that's less that what we had last season, and if it is it's certainly not many. Very happy with that.

Barnet basically ran there's like a gym membership one and you could opt out whenever.

Our monthly option was initially, years ago, where the Club took the risk and they got their fingers burnt a couple of times so moved to the Zebra type thing.

I'm not angry but if you have read any forums or FB you would know all about the arrogant bragging by some Grimsby fans, a lot of whom are deluded enough to think they have won this league before a ball has even been kicked. I admit because of it I badly want to beat them just as much as I want to defeat Jester and Rectum.

The morale of the story is dont read too much into the rubbish posted on FB. After Grimsby beat Gateshead 6-1 and us (Alfreton) 7-0 last season they were all believing they would win the league without losing another game!

Anyone who uses Facebook for anything other than keeping in touch with real life mates and family has a problem, anyone who takes stuff from nobodies on Facebook as serious and not banter has an even bigger problem.

It's bad enough believing half the banter on football forums as serious never mind fb.

Actually, you are. The same could be said to some of your fans who believe that because Bristol Rovers did it, you will go straight back up. I'm not sure if we will get promoted but I am fairly certain that you will not get promoted with Brabin in charge. As for wanting to beat us because of having 'deluded fans', there are many of our fans who'd 'love to beat you', for the last day of the 03/04 season. How can someone get so angry about Facebook?

You're not going to like Cheltenham then. You'll pay seating prices of £21 whilst home fans can choose to stand for £16.

In all honesty, I've never known any club charge the same for standing and seatinng, when I first went to Cheltenham 21 years ago in the Beazer Homes League, seats were £1.50 more than terracing.

Good luck with that.

The old R&DFC was screwed over a little by the conference (or at least so we were told by the dodgy people running the club at the time). We were told that we had to charge the same for the home terrace as for the away seating because we didn't offer any away terracing.

This was obviated somewhat by the "buy in advance" and reduced prices with membership stuff, but it still became a lot more expensive. That was the final year. Not sure if it played a part in Cousins deciding he'd had enough.

Our prices are £8/£5 for the whole ground (£20 for reserved seating). Earlybird offer on the season tickets of £139/£89.

This does mark quite a sharp increase from £6/£4 last season where we were able to offer earlybird season tickets for just £99 (IIRC), however it should be noted that we also play more home games this season (23 as opposed to 20 before) due to the promotion.

I believe we are now charging comparable prices to everyone else at this level.
