We never really do the season ticket update. I think it will be our standard 4k ish mark
Was expecting a bit of a surge today with it being the first day of general sales but not 600. More than last season already.94% renewal rate and almost 6,000 season tickets sold, lovely jubbly
Unbelievable total, really is!94% renewal comes to 5333, plus over 600 today so we are approaching 6000.
That’s one of the very few benefits of dropping into non league football#stainSo how long do you reckon the club has to get promoted before the euphoria of getting to L2 wears off? There’s only so much shelf life being in the basement - as we may well find out if we’re not careful.
£396 for a season ticket where I normally sit. I'm just going to have to pick and choose my matches. That is bloody ridiculous for div 4.
I was told yesterday by a Stags fan at work that Mansfield had sold about 1200 season tickets as of last week!
That can’t be right surely Stags fans???
I have been wondering this too, after spending nearly two decades in the division below, though to be fair we are concentrating hard on trying not to go back down again. There was certainly a novelty last season of playing teams like Coventry and Swindon, in league games, though we had faced many other teams in the division while they were in the Conference. The second season will be different, though I have heard from others that it can be more challenging than the first, but I still expect it to be a struggle...looking at our fixtures yesterday I still thought "blimey, this isn't going to be easy!"So how long do you reckon the club has to get promoted before the euphoria of getting to L2 wears off? Perspective is a strange thing. I look at the fixture list and think we should win all these. Obviously we won’t but another season floundering around in the nether regions will probably knock that nonsense out of me!I have been wondering this too, after spending nearly two decades in the division below, though to be fair we are concentrating hard on trying not to go back down again. Despite some rubbishing the size of our club, saying we don't belong here, our support has grown significantly in the last four or five years. Most of those people will only have watched a fairly successful club, winning regularly and making the play-offs, I wonder if they are the ones who will get bored if we don't challenge for promotion any time soon. Whatever happens, I'm not going anywhere.
Very true, but a few years ago our teams met in an FA Cup fixture and our fans considered it a big day out...yes I know it was Swindon, not a trip to Anfield or the Emirates, but at the time it really was...I don't think back then many fans of either team thought we would face each other in the Football League, but we are. I guess the perspective depends whether you view being in League Two as "how low have we sunk" or "how high have we risen"?Perspective is a strange thing. Yep I remember after a few years in non league we got Port Vale away in the FA Cup and I was genuinely excited for it, just getting to play a proper league club again at a biggish (relatively speaking) ground and we had a cracking day out there.Perspective is a strange thing. It’s almost as if Lincoln as a city have discovered Football in the last few years
Tis indeed, certainly tapped into newcomers coming to the area and families. Never seen so many families at games as I have in the last two years. It’s worlds apart David, it’s double! It’s veey impressive.
Like I said it’s as if the city of Lincoln and surrounding areas have only just discovered Football. And in the 4th tier lol
Well you have to pay for all those high earners....£396 for a season ticket where I normally sit. I'm just going to have to pick and choose my matches. That is bloody ridiculous for div 4.
