Yeah it's nice mate. What was more expensive the season ticket or the dog?

You're season tickets are only £100 more than bradfords any you've sold about 4000.

Theyve sold nearly 18k season tickets. Any sort of success on the pitch for example a promotion then they could double the prices and 90% of people will renew. You probably moan that you pay too much to watch football then your slagging a club off for charging very good prices get a fucking grip.

nope, I don't.

Not the point, we wouldn't sell thousands more if we lowered the prices. Our attendances only flourish with success, previous pricing initiatives haven't worked.

Bradford have a big enough fanbase to charge more and financially be far more competitive and choose not to, I find that completely baffling.

When the scheme first started 'giving them away' in 2007 we managed to sell 12,000 tickets at £138

8 years later we've now sold a rumoured 18,000 at £149

For chairmen that don't have millions to spunk into the club to fast track growth id say that's pretty damn good going. Our support has grown massively in that period and its very noticeable around the city and suburbs, less premier league shirts walking around and more and more 'local' team supporters.

For me the best thing it has done is drag a small stream of people away from the arm chair shite of the premier league and actually get involved with the club and community

So overall no, I wouldn't say many people of bradford are furious about the scheme

Ok cos £24 at notts county is a bargain isn't it.

I have a season ticket and it works out at £13.70 a game. I'm perfectly happy with this and thus have not complained.

And well done Bradford City that is a terrific number, a long way away from the 2,000 crowds. Massive turnaround.

Can you tell me which seasons you are referring to with your 2000 crowds you keep quoting? I can only think of less than a handful of seasons where we had sub 3000 crowds.

As has been said before we can either sell 10,000 or so if we are lucky at about 250-300 or we can get double the crowds with a cheaper ticket. Either way it's worked out to mean the income is the same but bigger crowds.

Then the clever bit. Factor in increased advertising revenue, increased food, merch etc we actually then start to make much more money.

City are building a fan base and VP will be rocking next year. I can't think of many clubs in the top 3 divisions with such a feel good factor in its supporters.

Old Entonians still exist, they won the FA cup twice and were finalists 6 times. Are they a bigger club than Bristol City considering Bristol City have never won the FA cup and never been in the final?

Can I have a response please or are you copping out again when I prove you wrong

How?

1980 and 1976

So, two seasons at more like 3k and yet you obsess over us having 2k crowds. Two seasons out of over 100 seasons. What a little idiot you are. Make sure you get to bed early, you've got school in the morning.

I never contested we had a few seasons with low crowds but you are pretending we averaged 2k crowds as a matter of course suggesting its 'where we came from'. You are a cretin and sooner you leave this board the better.

Fair play to Bradford for lowering the prices and getting bums on seats, but at a rough estimate by the time we've sold 7,500 season tickets, which we've already nearly doubled I believe, then that would equal the revenue Bradford will make for 17,000. Can kinda see why less clubs go down the low pricing route.

Definitely, but it's not about squeezing as much money out of the bradford public as possible as it is about growing the Bradford fan base. A city the size of our should be getting much bigger crowds than we do, I.e. We're similar size city to Sheffield and you have two clubs better supported than us.

Like I mentioned earlier, growing form 12,000 tickets when we first started to 18,000 this time shows its a massive success story. A little bit of success in the league and decent cups here and there are doing wonders for us at the minute and its all about trying to keep these 'new' fans.

In terms of money gained there was an interview with our chairman when we started It way back when (can't be arsed to find it) about how they estimated the income is roughly the same as selling them full price, maybe slightly less, but the commercial opportunities increase significantly.

Plus if nothing else firthy gets to wave his willy about on here

Sounds like #bcafc on course to break 18,000 season tickets... Phenomenal effort from the club and the fans.
A big well done to all who made the effort and purchased one, cheaptickets or not (y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y).

You didn't prove me wrong, you proved yourself wrong yet again and saved me the job. See above.

18000 is phenomenal.

Question. Bradford has a large Asian population.

How many of the 18000 would be Asian? I have seen a few faces in the crowd on TV highlights.
It's great to see the whole community supporting the club if so.
If we could get the poles into footy, we would need a bigger ground.

Oh right, congratulations on reaching a FA cup final over 100 years ago and losing.

Now, I guess Old Entonians are a bigger club than Bristol City then? Considering they've won 2 FA cups and reached 6 finals.

Over 100 years ago? Ah, but accoarding to you, we hadn't been in one.

What's up with that?!

I just second guessed that because you've never done anything in your history that you've never been in a FA cup final, easy mistake.

For the third time, are Old Entonians a bigger club than Bristol City? They have won the FA cup twice and reached the final 6 times.

Cheers

It is hard to attract Asians to support local clubs because the majority of the time it wouldn't be their fathers/families main sport so they don't have a connection to a club. If they wanted to support a football team they would probably choose United or Arsenal because it's the ones they always see on the TV.

Despite the Ricoh being over the more ethnically diverse area of Coventry, it's disappointing to see us failing to attract those.

Apparently you can only claim to have won the FA Cup from 1987-2015 any win before that doesn't count, I can't remember who won it in 1987 but it means they will always be a massive club.

OK if that's the case.

Are Old Entonians a bigger club than Bradford City? They have won the FA cup twice and reached the final 6 times so they quite clearly are.
