Not just Rangers fans mate....get your facts correct but as per you just make presumptions. If you are so determined to put this over as fact....show the evidence. As for me....are you for real....don't answer that. Show me one post made by me in ANY England match thread which indicates me as an England supporter. I have said that I hope they get on well, hope that they win.....a supporter....no, a well wisher....yes. The England supporters are the lads & lasses on the forum who are actually English and are more deserving than me to be fanatical about their team. The team that I support is Rangers & Rangers only but yeah I wished England well for the tournament and individual games because I can see the bigger picture rather than some insular, self thought egotist from a footballing backwater!

PS....was the Scottish bint on the ambulance a Rangers supporter?
He's getting the Scottish who aren't as bitter as fuck, mixed up with being a supporter. I'd say easy mistake to make, but it shouldn't be.

Of course it was a success, a massive success. Probably their best tournament apart from 1966.

And yet they still went out to a poor side with less than a tenth of their population.

Germany and Spain are good teams with excellent pedigree, England are neither.

And the second paragraph says it all. Colombia, missing their star player, took England to penalties.

Saying you will beat any of these sides was arrogance.

But again, don't take my word for it, the Croatian players and media thought England were being incredibly arrogant so the 'not me guv' line won't suffice.

Would you like a second opportunity to do it properly?

So England had two shots on target in 120 minutes but Croatia were lucky not to be down 3-0 by half time?

You couldn't make this up! Incredible - and they don't even know they're doing it!

England fans do not like taking your medicine. You were arrogant and it blew up spectacularly in your faces, not for the first time and not for the last.

Was it in 2008 that an England fan tried to buy an Israeli player a car after he scored the goal that kept England in the qualification race? Made it even funnier when they still conspired to mess it up against Croatia.

Whilst the media were bigging the team up beyond belief, the fans were just trashing an ambulance.

Several Croatian players made similar comments so it was clearly not just Modric.

it has been posted several times how terrible the Iceland result was in Euro 2016. And it was. This Croatia team finished below Iceland in World Cup qualifying.

Let that sink it. The bitterness is seeping through your post.
So, in short, you’re sad and angry that Scotland always have been and always will be inferior to England.

You can’t make new arguments, always end up coming back to your previous points and you’re just generally a patronising prick.

It’s great to laugh at people AFTER they mess up. Records show that you didn’t post between 6th July and yesterday - any reason for this? Oh yeah: you had to wait until we lost until you made your point, because you unless we lost, the majority of points you’ve written in your post would be wrong.

You spend far too much time focusing on another country’s (England) fortunes whilst forgetting how shit your own team is. Have fun not qualifying for the Euros (again).

Spot on...

What people forget is this England side is still very much a work in progress. Harry Kane is a World Class forward and arguably the best in the World in that position... he should get better in the next cycle as he hits his peak. He was the only World Class player going into the tournament.

I would say Kieran Trippier has shown he can be World Class, he has shown in this tournament he is one of the best right backs currently and you can look at the likes of Harry McGuire who have shown they can step up to the plate so we have seen some of the squad grow in the course of this tournament, World Cups can make players, like James last time for example.

The rest of the squad is in the main young and still growing in the game, they should improve and want this more for the experience. What I hope is Southgate keeps with the core through the new 2 years and doesn't change it or experiment with his best XI too much, get even more understanding and look at the youngsters as they come up, the lad from Fulham Sessignon for example, Foden at City who certainly in the next World Cup cycle should come to the fore.

As a team England have only just started this journey and as mentioned before its crucial this wasn't in vein and that we build on what has been achieved. The tools are there, the opportunity is there, the supporters are now there again.

The hard work for Southgate begins now, turning this young rough diamond into a feared side that can compete in semi finals and for trophies. The work with St Georges etc is starting hopefully to bear fruits after the success of the England sides at all levels in the past two years, we knew it needed to change and it has changed.

if it would be only that easy.....take a look at Brazil for the last three world cups. QF, slaughtered in the semi, QF.

And how many players turned into crap after a good start (not only english). i could name you 30 german players who were fucking brilliant at young age and turned (sometimes slowly) into crap. honrary mention: Mario Götze

Trippier, not even a guaranteed starter for Tottenham better than a full back consistently scoring goals in the latter stages of the CL? He was involved in 18 goals in 39 games for Bayern - he is an exceptional player, far better than Trippier.

Alisson played a crucial part in Roma reaching the CL semis and his stats in the league are phenomenal, hence why he is first choice for Brazil ahead of the excellent Ederson, and hence why he is linked with Real Madrid.

Pickford let in a poor goal against Belgium, and let in three poor goals in his last club game. He is so clearly Joe Hart MKII, I hope the latter is seeking royalties.

Absolutely astonishing - England fans truly never learn.
I have literally never said Trippier or Walker are better than Kimmich, the initial point a while ago was that both are better than Fagner which you also argued. Kimmich is a fantastic player but I do think Trippier is as good. Funny though that you quote goal contributions as a measure for a RB though, I prefer my defenders to be able to defend first and foremost, hence why I rate Trippier above Walker.

Alisson is a good keeper don't get me wrong but Pickford will play for far better clubs than Roma in his career. The Belgium goal was not his fault, ask any goalkeeper, he went with the correct hand he just wasn't tall enough. I'd probably look at Rose for that one showing Januzaj inside onto his stronger foot and giving him about 10 yards to pick his spot.

I can't remember Everton's last game tbh, I'll take your word for it. You're judging Pickford on which club he plays for, it's a common mistake. The guy is absolutely unreal.

Can anyone think of a single Scottish player who'd get into our 23 man squad?

Scrap that, if we have a 46 man squad would any of them get in?

Andy Robertson would certainly be a contender for the left-back/left wing-back position but I couldn't see any other Scottish players currently getting into the England squad

I'll start by saying I don't know why I've bit, and you're a strange one but here it goes.

I said number 3 although I didn't use the word football, obviously if it were just football then Brazil would be. But if you're aren't thick then you'll no there are far more factors involved than just football I won't go over them again as I already have on this forum. Maradonna didn't have a Belgium shirt on, but he put a Colombia one on against us, interesting. I've not seen anyone put 1 or 2, so feel free to show evidence neither Alisson(Ederson is far better and should start), nor Kimmich is that big of a sweeping statement, neither are great shakes. Comparing Pickford to Ederson, Neuer or De Gea then fair enough that would be to far, there aren't that many to drawer full backs these days most are more like wingers so too say Walker is up there is hardly controversial, what ha Kimmich done too make you pull a statement like that up as a big shock?

None of them you brought up are particularly arrogant let alone absolutely astonishing, strange bastard.

I was being generous with saying footballing rivalry, but if England really think Argentina care about them more than their major geopolitical rivalry (and a huge country) that borders them - that is truly astonishing. By far the most glaring statement made during this World Cup.

I lived in Brazil for years, and worked in Argentina for about 6 months. They have a significant, albeit rather overblown, rivalry. Some parts of Brazil, Cariocas no longer want to go to because it is full of Argentinians - Buzios for example. They complained like hell during the last World Cup Final as Rio became full of Argentinians.

Similarly, in Argentina, they never stop the smug superiority towards Brazil (which has more than a bit of a racial overtone).

Neither cares in the slightest about England. The Falkland Islands was never mentioned to me once in my entire time in Argentina. Brazil was brought up all the time.

The statements are astonishing and arrogant. The fact you can't see this only continues to back up my point.

Not just Rangers fans mate....get your facts correct but as per you just make presumptions. If you are so determined to put this over as fact....show the evidence. PS....was the Scottish bint on the ambulance a Rangers supporter?

Yep, Rangers fans in Scotland support England. This is a well known phenomenon that has existed for decades.

They are the English team in Scotland as Celtic are the Irish team in Scotland.

If you don't know this, you really haven't been paying any attention have you? It wouldn't surprise me. It's probably a revelation to you Rangers consider themselves a Protestant team.

Can anyone think of a single Scottish player who'd get into our 23 man squad?

Scrap that, if we have a 46 man squad would any of them get in?

It's clear Andrew Robertson would get in ahead of Young and Rose.

But why you're banging this drum is quite strange. We are a nation of 1/10 your size. You are better than us as we are better than Latvia - so what?

Is that is really what you cling to after going out to a team that drew to Finland, and finished below Iceland in qualifying, who is less than a tenth of your size?

England had a good tournament, beat two awful teams and one mediocre one, but then completely threw it away in a game they absolutely should win. I'm astonished they don't realise or care about this.

So, in short, you’re sad and angry that Scotland always have been and always will be inferior to England.

Making the first statement implies you know nothing about the history of football. Have a look at the head to head record before posting again.

I was on holiday in Edinburgh for the last few days.

Most of my points relate to your loss, so they wouldn't be relevant had you won. Not sure why you don't get this? I couldn't say England did badly losing to Croatia, had they won. What a strange point to make.

England should be comparing themselves with similar sized nations like France, Italy and Spain. Scotland should be comparing themselves with Finland, Slovakia, Norway and Ireland.

Being better than us is not really an achievement - I don't really see why you can't grasp this.

However, I don't really know why Scotland are being discussed at all to be honest. We have never lost to Croatia and beat them in our last two competitive matches against them.

I have literally never said Trippier or Walker are better than Kimmich, the initial point a while ago was that both are better than Fagner which you also argued. Kimmich is a fantastic player but I do think Trippier is as good. I can't remember Everton's last game tbh, I'll take your word for it.

Thinking Trippier, a rotation option for Spurs, is better than Kimmich is a great example of the arrogance of England fans I have been referring to. Thanks for proving my point!

In Evertons last game Pickford let in three howlers and was pilloried on Match of the Day for it. Have a watch.

I think Alisson will himself move onto better things, but can't see Pickford doing much better than Everton.

He is Joe Hart MKII, hyped up and will always under deliver. I'm quite glad England fans don't realise this. Instead they think Pickford is better than Alisson - https://www.planetfootball.com/quick-reads/alisson-became-demand-goalkeeper-world/

What next? Lingard better than Dybala? I'm staying tuned to find out. In the decades I've been following football England fans have never changed, a mix of total arrogance combined with ignorance of the football played outside their shores means the following is posted (then repeated!)

Trippier = Kimmich
Pickford > Alisson
Lingard > Dyabla?

Again, this it's "not me guv" can be easily disproved by looking at the posts on this site - never mind the thousands of articles from across the journalistic spectrum.

England fans were arrogant. The English media was arrogant. This was not the first time
and it won't be the last, there is a reason Croatia are having a right good laugh at their expense.
For the record, it really isn't me guv, I support Ireland.

Not all do so incorrect once again. And even those that do, so what? Why you find it a necessity to bring this up is even more strange in an England game thread. Again.....if you still maintain that all do....show your evidence.....but you can't can you? And again I can say with authority that non-Rangers fans were wanting England to do well.....but you cannot see the wood for the trees. Sad tbh!

They are the English team in Scotland as Celtic are the Irish team in Scotland.
Both are Scottish teams....founded in Scotland, play in Scotland.....some of their supporters may support England/Ireland but it certainly gives no basis to your puerile point.

If you don't know this, you really haven't been paying any attention have you? It wouldn't surprise me. It's probably a revelation to you Rangers consider themselves a Protestant team.
Why you constantly pathetically attempt to appear sanctimonious is a failure on your part as you always end up with mud on your face. You make statements on what 'you' think....not on what you actually know. Son, I've forgotten more about Rangers than you will ever know. And for your last comment....bringing religion into the equation just shows you up for what you are and although I could blow that out of the water I wouldn't lower myself to your lowly status and dignify a gutter level attempt to become embroiled in such a discussion which has absolutely nothing to do with this thread.

In summing up....you make points without evidence, ignore points put towards you as and when it suits, deflect and always but always fail.

PS....was the Scottish bint on the car a Rangers supporter ?.....because that was the point that started you off on Rangers again......fucking obssessed.......

Robertson yeah, he has proven himself but in all honesty (going by last season) Tierney is VASTLY overrated and the £25 mill is actually laughable especially when you consider that Celtic's opening bid for McGinn was £1.5 mill ?

I dunno, Tierney had his ups and downs last year, but there is a hell of a player in there imo.

St Juste, I can’t be arsed quoting your post about this as it would take me all day deleting the rest of it where you quote the other 27 people as well as me, but here goes, did you actually watch the first half or were you in a Whisky induced coma and only woke up at half time? You can quote stats all you like but you know as well as we do that Kane and Lingard both missed sitters which would’ve put us 3-0 up at half time, so how can you still come out with the same boring crap denying it, Croatia were lucky not to be 3-0 down, try and gloss over it all you like by just repeating the same stats but we all know you’re talking Shite like usual.

For the record, it really isn't me guv, I support Ireland.

If one accepts the arrogance narrative than at least say SOME English fans were arrogant. And if discussing the English media, at least refer to Rio and the Red Tops rather than the entire English media in general?

Except there was articles across the whole spectrum of the English media - from the red tops to the Guardian, the Economist and the Financial Times.

This narrative that it is all a bit of an inside joke and that nobody really thought England won is a Trumpian level of self delusion.

Yes, loads of other countries think England are arrogant. Yes, it was explicitly mentioned by many of our opponents. But they are all wrong. We are not arrogant, we are probably the least arrogant nation of all time. We were right all along, just an inside self deprecating joke. Footballs coming home is a joke at our expense, honestly.

Fair play if you believe this - it is, after all, how people like Trump continue to thrive. Lies are truth. England are not arrogant, they exceptionally un-arrogant.

I want to start a petition to get Juste banned from 1FF, sick of reading his shit. Who's signing?

What a two bob c*** he is, fuck him

You could just stop reading, but that seems beyond your capability.

Again, I have never said Trippier is better than Kimmich. The only point that's being proven here is that you either can't read or are a total fucking idiot.

I watched Pickford every single week for 6 months and the majority of the highlights of his games since. I know that he is/will be a world class goalkeeper, I don't need you to agree with me, you'll learn one day.

Now you're just making shit up because you don't have enough ammunition to back up your point, well done.

I stated at the end of my post "Trippier = Kimmich" - you think he is as good? Really? Sure you don't want to change the opinion? All the evidence is weighted massively against you here.

Well, I was right about Hart, I was right about Walker, I was right about Ibrahimovic, I was right about Rooney (and I was actually right about Trippier being underrated too). Pickford was absolutely awful in his last club game, if you really weren't aware of this you haven't been watching him very closely.

Must have missed the Belgium game too.

As for your last paragraph, you are saying Trippier is as good as Kimmich and that Pickford is better than Alisson. It is absolutely astonishing.

Sad tbh!

Show my evidence that Rangers are the English team in Scotland and Celtic are the Irish team? If you don't know that, you know nothing about either club.

Your punctuation is also horrendous, combined with the content of your posts it really doesn't make the best impression.

They really don't though and the fact you use such dramatic statements such as astonishing and arrogant shows that you are just thick as mince, have you ever backed up your claims with fact? I'll save you the bother, have yer feck as like.

Did you read the article on Alisson at all?

How would you expect me to disprove these statements by fact anyway? Alisson is wanted by the top clubs in the world, and played in the CL latter stages. Kimmich is a key player for one of the best sides in the world.

Trippier is a rotation option at Spurs and Pickford plays for Everton.

I can't "prove" the former two are better but I can provide evidence....which you are not doing.

England fans think Croatia were lucky not to be 3-0 down, in a game where England had two shots on target in 120 minutes (one of which was the Kane sitter I believe)?

That's arrogance for you. And they believe it as well! "Quote stats all you like"...but we dominated them! They were so lucky we weren't hammering them at half time. Forget stats, we deserved to win. But we are not arrogant though, we are the least arrogant nation of all time. We didn't win, but we should have, but knew we wouldn't. All the bragging was an inside joke.

This narrative that it is all a bit of an inside joke and that nobody really thought England won is a Trumpian level of self delusion.
Mate you're literally the only one on this forum believing it. You're also the one who actually thinks Croatia are bad because they lost to Scotland 5 years ago  who's the deluded one again?

Many of our opponents were saying it? Can you find me all of these different opponents that were saying it?

Or will you just do your normal thing of ignoring it. You make accusations constantly where people ask you for proof, but you never give it. Time & time & time & time & time again.

I don't think that is the case at all, a lot of people have taken issue with the ridiculous notion that it was all an inside ironic joke.

The Scotland results were provided for context, as expressed, 7 of the players from the game were the same so it isn't a drastically different side. They also drew with Finland at home and finished below Iceland in qualifying.

Yes, look up the Swedish and Croatia media (I posted a link to the latter earlier in the thread and the former has been discussed by other posters). The Belgian pundits were having a real go at them too as did Rafael van der Vaart for Dutch TV.

I've provided evidence throughout - what have you provided? Be specific.

Show my evidence that Rangers are the English team in Scotland and Celtic are the Irish team? If you don't know that, you know nothing about either club.
Eh....wrong again smart arse. If you take the trouble to actually read the post and what it actually says compared to what you think (or want to believe) it says, you will discover that I never asked you that with regards to the section you have quoted. As I said....it has nothing to do with the clubs...what you insinuate is down to a section of said clubs' support. Both are Scottish clubs....founded in Scotland, play in Scotland.....you are aware of that?

Your punctuation is also horrendous, combined with the content of your posts it really doesn't make the best impression.
Is that the best you have ?..... Only a sad twat like yourself would seriously show himself up by making childlike comments such as this. You're a chump justy and as usual shown up to be incorrect.

You could just stop reading, but that seems beyond your capability.

Your punctuation is also horrendous, combined with the content of your posts it really doesn't make the best impression.

The World Cups finished mate, let it go, I know you struggle with that. Regarding the game, most England fans admit Croatia were the better side, I haven't seen a hint of arrogance in our fans after the game.

As for the could have be 3 up comment, if you'd watched the game you'd know that were true. Lingard and Kane missed huge chances, just because a shot goes off target doesn't mean we shouldn't score. But after half time there were no doubting they deserved the win.

Guys, football came home. We all had a laugh and it’s the best we’ve felt about a group of players in years! Whereas St. Juste gets a kick out of telling us we’re shit and arrogant on a football forum. The only happiness he’s had is watching the greater power in the UK lose a football match. There is nothing is this mans life that brings him more joy that analysing every exact detail of what happens on a football pitch - if one of your mates did this you’d have a strong word with him

Kinda glad international football is over now because like politics it brings the worst out in people.

Gotta be honest, Juste is slaying English left, right & centre.

And he's right, England were arrogant. What was worse about this tournament though was the complete shithousery that accompanied it. The BBC were horrendous - basically begging foreign pundits to declare it's coming home whilst the likes of Linekar & Shearer would look on and react with knowing smiles as if to create the pretence of, look don't take our word for it - we're paying a foreigner here and he's saying IT'S COMING HOME!

As it was the way the draw went it theoretically could have come home but in reality it never could because it was reliant on Gareth fucking Southgate

Any attempts to remind the it's coming homers of this fact were smashed out the park. For three weeks, people who are usually balanced logical fans went into hysteria. You can say you weren't arrogant or delusional all you want but when you flat out refused to acknowledge any objective fair comment, retort in a manner that screamed "WE ARE ABOVE CRITICISM" and followed it up with very dodgy nationalism (despite the fact those nationalities you chose to insult share the same history of sacrifice that got us all where we are today) then that is just about as Trump as you can get. Sorry but it's true, Juste is correct.

I've provided and caught you out on many occasions (as have we all). If you didn't bother to read it, thats your problem pal, not mine.

You mentioned opponents, the media aren't England's opponents. The only actual opponent was really Modric. Who you even said most of Croatia hates (didn't you even say to me that was from Croatian media? You haven't got a clue fella) So no, you haven't provided any evidence at all. You've provided media who are having a laugh at our expense - if you fail to see that then you're more deluded than I thought.

You've quoted Croatia drawing to Finland about one thousand times now.

Now how about you actually try and do some real research - because after the draw against Finland, they sacked the manager (due to a last second goal). They brought in the new manager and since then their record is the following:

2-0 Win
4-1 Win
0-0 Draw
2-0 Win
3-0 Win
2-1 Win
1-1 Win (penalties)
2-2 Win (penalties)
2-1 Win
4-2 Loss

8 wins, 1 draw & 1 loss.

You know, if you actually were semi-intelligent, you'd have spotted that. But instead, you compare Croatia Vs Scotland 5 years ago.

What a horrible sad world you must live in to really believe that the 2nd best team in the World are sh*t and Scotland are living proof of that
