Abraham jumps under the ball. Goal.
Tomlin misses penalty.
ONeill stupidly gets sent off.
ODonnell flaps one in. Goal.
Flint bamboozled by defender. Goal.

Dont remember such a comedy of errors in the same 45 mins.

Let's not mull over it, it winds me up when fans look for excuses after something like that. You can't excuse Tomlin missing the target from 12 yards.

Well done Wednesday. City, you never fail to disappoint.
Sorry Mr throws his season ticket in a river

Gary O'Neil
Richard O'Donnell

Nothing personal obviously but it irritates me. Other fans having watched the highlights will be reading this thread wondering why we're moaning about the red card and looking for excuses, given that Hutchinson's wasn't a red either. We're the victims of our own downfall mate, let's not offload the blame.

I'm not saying we're not to blame for losing, I'm just pointing out more examples of shite referring against both sides. Penalty goes in 3-1 up, have 11 men and the game is over.

Well what can I say about that, one of the best game I've seen at Hillsborough for a long time, had everything goals, red cards, a missed penalty and a last gasp winner. Thought we were poor first half lacked any form of creativity and Bristol City looked a tidy team, didnt look particularly dangerous themselves but two chances for Abraham and two goals. That lad will go on to be a Premier League star by the way, gave our centre backs a torrid time tonight, Lucas Joao should be taking a DVD of that home with him tonight and learning because that's exactly what he should be doing. We make a few changes and it gave us more attacking threat, Fletcher pulling a goal back got out tails up and we looked likely, then we go and give away a penalty and Hutchinson gets sent off, City's chance to finish the game off and Tomlin blows it, 20 seconds later O'Neil gets sent off and it's as you were, crazy. We equalise threw Barry Bannan from about 35 yards out, good strike but ROD should be saving it. We carried on pressing and with the last kick of the game the magical Kieron Lee sells Flint way too easily and finishes it, this is why I love football.

Thought Ross Wallace was great when he came on really made a difference, and Adam Reach looks a very good player too. Steven Fletcher is quality think he'll score bags of goals this season. As for Bristol City can't see you being in danger look a decent side and you have a goal scorer, although he's not yours. Flint and Magnusson will win everything in the air but looked very uncomfortable when we got it on the floor and started passing it around quickly, expect City to finish top half. Hopefully we can take these two home wins onto Birmingham on Saturday and get a good result! Well done tonight Wednesday!

Think City will easily be top half this season, the few seconds from City missing the penalty and the sending off obviously changed the match. You could just feel a win coming (doesn't happen often) Wouldn't be to down hearted if I was a City fan, it was just 1 of those nights. As Liam says it shows why we love (or hate) football. Think on chances we deserved the win, but can't understand why we started without our most influential player. Really hope this is the kick start we need.

Where to start.......

The heavens opening at 7ish was a shock to the system, I had shorts and a T shirt on, glad we got the tram up or I'd be nursing hypothermia as well as a beer headache.

On the game, Carlos tried to tinker too much and it played into the hands of the visitors who played incredibly well for sixty minutes and fully deserved their two goal lead at the break, Abraham is some bloody player, for a kid of 18 he bullied both Lees and Hutchinson.

The subs brought us back into the game as Pudil looked out of sorts, Reach settled in at left back and provided a threat with Wallace, an early second half goal from Fletcher and it was game on.

Now I won't argue about the penalty but the red card was a joke, he genuinely slipped on the sodden turf FFS, then 60 seconds later Tomlin had struck the post and Gary O'Neil was joining Hutchinson in the refs red column, I think the referee probably made up for our red, for me it wasn't a yellow but a tackle from behind is always asking for trouble.

Being honest our equaliser was piss poor keeping, yeah it was a good hit but you get your hands behind it, like Westwood in the first half for City's second but I'll take it.

For me only one team was winning it from that point and our little golden boy Kieran Lee skinned Flint like a butcher does a cow, bang 3-2 in stoppage time, won me a sixty quid treble, which on top of my £500 win at Billy Hills earlier in the day made it a great night.

Fair play to the 400 odd City, vocal and your team surprised me, you were better than I expected, you'll do well if you cut out the sloppy defending and keep supplying Tammy.

Encouraging words about tammy, if he can bully arguably one of the best CB pairings in the league then he's going to get plenty more goals for us this year. Just need to hope he stays fit, as we have to enjoy him because I'd be shocked if he isn't featuring for Chelsea next year.

He is a great player at this level but I don't think Chelsea will give him a chance. They rarely do with decent young strikers that come through their academy. Lukaku and to a lesser extent Bamford are testament to never being given a chance after impressing on loan.

Still, Chelsea's loss will be another clubs gain, he is a player of obvious quality.

Aye, he will no doubt be loaned out to a few clubs, go for £10m somewhere when he's 22.

Yeah, true.. The lukaku thing is especially baffling as they paid a lot of money for him.. Still, tammy was on the bench a few times at the back end of last season.. The kid is only 18, he's only going to get better. Even with Chelsea's record with youngsters of still be shocked if he doesn't feature next year.. A change of manager there might change the system a bit because I read somewhere that conte almost blocked his move here..

Yeah, deal only really went ahead as Tammy told Conte he wanted to be out playing games rather than being a squad player/warming the bench.

Yep, he looked absolute class. No doubt Chelsea will sell him, then realise their mistake and try to buy him back for 50 million. I'm not surprised Bristol (ok City) looked good for long parts, they are dark horses for top 6 to me.

Difference is between sides like us and sides in the top six is that they'd have won that last night, and on Saturday. We should've won both and sit here with 1 point. Young squad, they'll learn.

Still not quite sure how he hasn't saved that though :animatedf:

Once an Owl always an Owl, he can't help it, its in his blood. Joking apart it looked like he should have saved it from where I was sat. Great strike though.
