I don't think we've kept possession for the sake of it, it's just a case of having the ball with no real option/opportunity. Sam isn't going to change this side in a week.

But the midfielders are happily taking their time before passing it from side to side. Get it into Kane's feet as soon as possible and get Sterling/Lallana/Rooney in and around him. Or failing that, get Vardy on up front and try and get their centre backs turning the other way. Either way we'd lose the ball a bit but I'd much rather that than this turgid shite that has proven to be ineffective.

An attacking midfield with Rooney who at times is so deep he's in our own half, then Lallana on the left who is confused by that huge space left by Rooney that he doesn't know whether to play left or centrally, that he does neither.

No width means no crosses, so we're trying to use Kane on the shoulder of the defender for through balls, which is not his game. Either play wide and cross to Kane, or play narrow and replace Kane with some pace. It's not rocket science.

It can't always be the manager. The players surely can figure stuff out for themselves also.
