Update - Away ticket office has run out of tickets. They mustn't have expected us to bring more than our usual 3,000 for a match of this stature.

Sorry for doubting you Scott, that was some finish. Decent half by us, if we're to win i feel we need another early in the 2nd as our sub lineup isn't the most inspiring.

No but if this is the best XI Notts can put out then I dread to think how bad their bench is!!!

Deserved win in the end. Wilson took his goals well and Cameron was immense against stead. Idiotic of Smith to get himself sent off but otherwise it was a successful afternoon.

Great win for Macc, good to see their form since sol came in.

I suppose you can only beat what’s infront of you, but your turn around has been impressive.

Stupid by Smith, stupider by Davies. Thought Dennis would go too and Brisley lucky to eacape punishment (probably others of either side that i didn't see).

Both 2nd half goals were against the run of play, and we were on top for more so a deserved, and important win. Definitely improved morale in the team, as 2 months ago we'd have conceded at least 1 in added time.

Don't want to put too much of a downer on the day but a 3 match suspension, and possibly 3 more (Pontichelli, Pearson, Stephens) injuries is really unfortunate.

I brought Lady Luck along as promised cos we were awful for all but 15 mins. Unrecognisable from the side watched from the Main Stand all last season. But you can’t disguise it Macc had a plan and although they didn’t execute things well often they played some nice football and had a plan and deserved the win ..... just.

Both sendings off were idiotic and deserved.

We looked like a team of individuals with very little confidence, all over the place in the first half. Slightly better second half where we created enough but didn’t take the chances. Only three players can hold their head high after that.

Decent crowd again, great honest and excellent interview from the boss afterwards. Apart from that, nothing positive. I even had a nightmare in the King George too

I hope sol gets some midfield players in January. For all the improvement we are still light in quality.

Every team we play against are surprised how bad we are.
We are truly shockingly bad, not because we're technically deficient or unfit but because we're totally gutless, and utterly imbalanced.
We've gone through three managers, they've all done the same things and the same faults re -occur.
Without three, maybe four new players we will go down of that I'm sure.

Well that was shit. Congratulations Macc on a deserved win - you have a pretty good record at ML!

Looks a bit bleak for us now, our only hope is the transfer window. Looks like the first one out will be Rob Milsom, who didn’t play today because it would have triggered some sort of new deal, by the sounds of it. No great loss - he’s been a disappointment since returning.

We are properly horrendous, only saving grace is that we’ll probably chuck another load of money at it in January, and Ardley at least sounds like he knows what we need.

I thought Macclesfield were pretty good to be fair, we’ve lost to much worse teams this season. That Smith upfront is a right tit, mind, so him pointlessly getting himself sent off at least cheered me up a bit.

Hopefully we can send the loan players (Thomas, Milsom and Davies) back in January, I think Turley, Ward and Evina are all on short term contracts as well so they can go too. Shift a couple of others and hopefully Ardley will have the room to make some kind of difference.

Smith was an idiot getting sent off. He is prone to tantrums and early in the season took a lot of stick from the Macc fans.

Smith's a danger to himself when he lets things get the better of him. Has openly admitted having mental health issues, so needs to do better at times. Though there was even less need for Dennis to go scything through O'Hara well after he'd collected the ball, nor Davies rifling it straight at Marsh when he was on the floor.

We played Notts off the park in the first half and should have had a wider lead. The disallowed goal we had was a straight get set of events. Ultimately neither the ref or liner knew if Stephens was offside but they both put their best guesses together and came up with the right decision - just about 2 minutes after the red had given it!

Notts were always going to come out stronger in the second half but it was a huge bit of fortune that gave them an equaliser, and having heard Neil Ardley on Radio Notts after, yes you were watching a different game, because you looked far from being the team that would go on and win it.

I was surprised we managed to get a second, but that's a huge win today, but means nothing if we now pick up nowt against Carlisle and Tranmere. We're in touching distance again, and others are being dragged down so a bit of renewed confidence after today. Though a multitude of injuries and now suspensions on top (just as we sold our other CF!!) is going to test the squad over the next week. Hopefully Sol has some strong reinforcements lined up for early Jan.

Agree with some of that but the late challenge on keeper was always only going to be a yellow. He recovered quickly. Smith the enforcer was a right idiot for raising his hands. Guaranteed red.

Ardley wasn’t spot on , said we were lucky to only be one down at half time and when we equalised out of the blue Macc lost their composure and flow. Started to needlessly panic and we created 2/3 very good chances after the goal. Definitely looked like the side that was going to win it. But overall Macc deserved the win for simply being a team that seemed to recognise each other and play football

Oh I agree Dennis's "challenge" was only a yellow, but he could have stopped, had a sit down, re-tied his laces and turn around and run off in the time between O'Hara collecting the ball and when he went through him. Smith's a clown for getting involved, but the whole episode would never have happened if not for Dennis's petulance.

That being said if he wants a return to the Moss next month then I'd be quite happy!

Fair play, big Sol's doing the biz so far, probably promotion form since he took over? At this point, he might even be able to declare himself one of the greatest managers to have ever lived.

Our game on new year's day looks a lot more difficult than it did a month or so ago, as it's now rejuvenated possible genius led Macclesfield vs five straight away defeats travelling charity Tranmere Rovers.
