What does that mean? Not sure anyone other than Luton that have been down here are bigger than us in truth.
Really?! Doncaster weren't a big Club in the NL back then (maybe relative to other teams in those seasons, but not the second biggest to have been in the NL).

Thanks for that, but you think you are better than us. How long have you been a non league club.

You've been a non league club for your entire history.

But actually I didn't knowingly list any of the phoenix clubs, Hereford, Darlington, Halifax etc etc. because sadly the original clubs don't exist any more. And I am not someone who takes pleasure in the fact Chester City were dissolved.

Unfortunately the only way to get rid of something really nasty is to starve it out until it dies that’s what we did and given our time over again we would 100% do it again.

I'll call you out on this every time you make this claim- we are one and the same club, we have a continuous history right back to 1911. Any questions, take it up with the FA.

to be fair I got bored and half arsed it.

Yeovil like it or not are non-league brethren, alongside Alty, Barnet, Sutton, ourselves and their dear friends Weymouth.

As soon as Burton, Crawley, Fleetwood, Forest Green, Morecambe, Stevenage, Wycombe and others drop back down, they’ll be one of us again. I would count Salford but they’re not even at this level, they need to be shot back to the Northern Prem lower divisions.

Fleetwood too are just a pumped-up Northern Premier League club.

If Milton Keynes ever gets relegated into the conference would they also be considered proper non-league or former league?

They would be considered a freak show abomination with no place in Football. So, pretty much the same as now.

I can confirm as a delegate of the Brotherhood that we do not accept, want or wish well Franchise FC and they are to continue being considered the footballing pariah that they are.

Apparently we have done the same, clutching at straws yes, probably won't change anything, but if either of us somehow stay up from it then we won't complain about it!

It makes sense, nothing to lose (apart from a bit of cash) and everything to gain. Not sure on what legal basis the challenge is hinging upon.

None whatsoever. It's simply the rantings of a desperate man and lawyers happy to go along with it for the money.

Looks like it's a proposal to the EFL to be discussed at AGM, that they shouldn't relegate us because the national league integrity is in question due to no relegation from them.

Pretty sure the other 70 clubs won't care and dismiss it

I'm pretty sure you're right... if the EFL did accept it the PL could turn round and do the same to the EFL.
The EFL teams wouldn't risk that.

Am sure it could be argued that the EFL wasn't compromised on competitive integrity because relegation was expected and played for. The NL have known there will be no relegation for half the season.

It can't be argued at all.

These legal challenges are an absolute embarrassment.

You've been relegated. Get over it.

We already are over it, been over it since Christmas, but don't say you wouldn't do exactly the same if you were in the same position. Nothing to lose, even though we already know the answer.

I want to know if this was put in before the new owners arrived though, this is the first we've heard of it and it's only coming from Southend side that we put the proposal in and they are backing it.

Our new owner has commented on it now

"The legal conversation exploring the 'integrity' of the season has been ongoing with the EFL since the National League made its decision not to relegate clubs several weeks ago.

"As a club we will obviously follow the process to its logical conclusion but ultimately it is a decision for all EFL clubs to decide on collectively."

So as expected pretty sure the other 70 clubs won't care and won't want to upset the apple cart. Only thing I could see that might change is they stop relegation but still allow 2 up and have 26 clubs in lge 2 next season, which is also very unlikely.

Absolutely zero chance of league 2 running with 26 teams, what would be the reason? As said elsewhere it would set a president for the premier league to form a closed shop.
