Definitely not. I've just read that Espanyol have now lost 9 away games in a row, so it's hardly a surprise that Valencia have finally won a game against such poor opposition. Let's see how Valencia do in their next few games.

Celta as always giving Barca a game, only genius by Messi from a freekick and setting up Suarez again preventing them from being level after they got a penalty. Still may get something out of this, though Barca are really purring now with 30 mins left.

Hmmm. When Real tonked a 9 man Rayo side they were criticised for breaking the unwritten rule of respect that says you shouldn't hammer a side that's had men sent off. Pique was quite vocal about it and Barca have done that twice since, and now they're taking the piss on penalties in routs.

No class.

I don't think any side should be criticised for running up the score, never got the paying your opponent respect by not thrashing them thing. By not trying to score and giving youth players a run out you are showing a lack of respect to the opposition also. Of course, this doesn't absolve Pique for being a hypocrite. Barcelona have the moral high-ground over no club.

I like the thrashings (play to the final whistle and all that), it also signifies what a piss poor product La Liga is as a whole and highlights that something needs to be done to address the gap between the top three and everyone else.

Personally I think the penalty thing was kind of an overkill. Not that Barça should contain to expand the score or their irreverent and talentful plays but in this situation specifically - a penalty with already a big score - it felt almost insulting.
