Don't know about anyone else but give me the premier league over this shite.

Fantastic players doing everything in their power to get opposition players booked. The premier league also has more diving than it should but thankfully it isn't this bad, yet.

Troll more?

Plenty of chances for both sides but the correct result and Suarez gets the winner as well - noice!

Was thinking exactly the same thing, enjoyed the Liverpool United game far more than this. The first thing in the mind of these twats is whether they can get someone in trouble, the football comes second.

Yeah and of course this game is representative of all Clasico's.... It wasn't the best but there has been some terrific matches in the past with technique and style that PL teams just cannot reach.

Opposing the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre!!!!
Superb finish from Suarez. His first touch was perfect, the finish left Casillas with no chance.

The Classico is so nauseating and pathetic these days. The atmosphere was shite....The camera zoomed in on a section of Barcelona fans after the first goal and they didn't even stand up.

Barcelona get barely 60,000 every other week at the Nou camp, and then once a season 30,000 Asian people join the circus to get the once in a life picture of Mascherano holding his face because some other fanny has poked his neck.

It's fucking awful.

The Camp Nou was near full the other week for some ordinary league match though I admit the atmosphere for tonights one was strange and weirdly quiet.

I said you're trolling as you moan about divers and moaners from the Clasico yet your manager has got your team flying around like feckin ballerina's every game so you can't be hypocritical about things like that in Spain. Yes they go way over the top and it isn't football, but I look at it more like an opera; some brilliant bits interspersed with theatricality. The PL is becoming more like it too tbh.

I'm not going to sit here and deny it, we have players in our team dive occasionally and make the most of the smallest things. I hate it. It's no where near as bad as it is in Spain though.

True, but I think unless something serious is done about it over the next few seasons, it could be.

Btw Moyes has won the last 4 out of 5 matches in La Liga and got his team upto ninth. Not bad for his first season and not getting any players he wanted in in the winter window. Sociedad were playing Cordoba who in the end were playing with 8 men!

Watched this on a ridiculous stream with some ludicrously OTT American commentary. Think it enhanced the experience.
Yeah I think that'd be enjoyable, they get excited over the least little things that lot.

Neymar's dress sense leaves a lot to be desired! How funky is Alves in these shoes though! :ohy:

They all look ludicrous, apart from Messi, who looks like Mark from Peep Show.

They need to look at Juan Mata for clothing inspiration.

Don't think I've ever seen a well-dressed footballer tbh. Come to think of it, they generally have shit taste in cars as well.

SALTIRE pm'd me this picture saying he thought Ronaldo looked "absolutely fantastic" in this outfit. I'm sure he won't mind me sharing it.

Lets begin. Firstly, I do not think Pepe and Sergio Ramos are World Class center backs. Every time I've seen them they've been poor and it continued to show today. Real Madrid's defence isn't great. Casillas saved Real Madrid from conceding that 3rd goal, it wasn't the defence. He's been criticized by many since the World Cup including myself, but I couldn't do so yesterday. He played well yesterday. I don't know how Varane has done in other matches, but since coming on as a sub he's been great. Tackling was spot on and gave more security to Real Madrid's defence. Pepe looked incompetent throughout the match. Ramos didn't look great either. Real had a spell of dominance near the end of the first half, but in the second half, everyone up front disappeared but that's because the ball didn't reach them. Barcelona dominated after Suarez' goal. Bale and Ronaldo were poor all game. Bale didn't look comfortable on the ball and Ronaldo was simply play acting throughout the match. Wasn't impressed by either. Real Madrid's best players were Marcelo and Casillas. As I mentioned Casillas saved Real Madrid from that 3rd goal. Marcelo looked good on and off the ball. Always in a good position to attack, created a few chances. Benzema was also good. I didn't notice him too much in the second half but his backheel to Ronaldo was fantastic and it created a goal. He definitely deserved a mention

Now we'll discuss Barcelona. Despite them winning, I wasn't overly impressed. Everyone was missing something aside from Pique and Bravo. Neymar I thought was awful. He looked alright on the ball, did a good job dribbling the defence but he missed several chances to score because he decided to shoot when he had to make the pass instead. I really rate Neymar but he didn't impress me last night. Suarez was also missing something. He missed a lot of passes I thought. He scored a good goal though. Lastly, Messi didn't really do anything. He looked very good on the ball, seemed unstoppable but what does that mean if it doesn't end in anything? He wasn't bad, he got an assist but I've seen better from Messi especially against Madrid. Despite all that he gave Real Madrid's defence a lot of trouble. He certainly wasn't anonymous. Bravo made quite a few good saves and I'm having trouble to decide whether he did better than Casillas. Both goalkeepers had a good game. Lastly, I was impressed with Pique last night. His tackle on Bale was crucial and could have changed the outcome should Bale had made that pass.

It was a good match, not the best Clasico I've seen though. I thought the last one was better. Barcelona deserved to win after dominating most of the game. That puts them 4 points clear and I can't see them not winning the title now.

Why do so many people watch a game that makes them so viscerally angry, you know what you're getting with Barcelona v Real Madrid.

Wasn't a classic by the usual standards but right team won, Real Madrid have been abysmal lately, Ramos being back certainly helps them at the back but offensively they've looked lukewarm since they came from the World Club Cup. Benzema has been their main threat since then, great player.

No one believes you here mate. I think it's a bit worrying that you had that pic on your pc to begin with! ;)

Simeone extended his contract to 2020 today, Atletico will be competing for a few more years yet then, great news.

I read that earlier, seems a bit harsh don't you think? The Quenelle is one thing, the gesture Ronaldo made is hardly inflammatory.
Yeah he was winding them up slightly, but it wasn't ott. They are clamping down heavily on things like that though these days as a warning to players and fans to keep in check.

Camp Nou to host the Copa del Rey Final - interesting...
