I have been elected as chairperson of the Gloucestershire branch of supporters of Sporting Leyland FC . After a very close contest i came out as winner by the large margin of one vote, mine , sic!. We have a clubhouse in my back garden, 6 by 4 wooden shed, fitted with all mod cons,to sit on, a plank of wood, supported by a couple of high density plastic flower pots, a state of the art radio, made in the 70s, and just installed a giant tv, nah its my old 14 inch black and white one which i rooted out of my attic and the only program i can get on it seems to be static!, as its winter the beer is ice cold, but i reckon in summer time beer may be a bit warm!!!!.
Meetings will be held on the first monday of the month, but due to work commitments i will be unable to attend. but i am hoping that even without myself being there we will endeavour to raise some monies for our favourite 5 aside team...............Sporting Leyland fc

Pah, you technologically advanced Southerners. Our club house is made of asbestos and corrugated iron and we receive the results of all away games by telegram. Due to our lack of budget, we drive a Leyland DAF Van run on cherryade to all home games to show our true dedication to the esteemed town of which our favourite five a side team lies in. We are in the process of giving the van a name and we even have one or two interested in becoming a part of the Sporting Leyland Ultras having purchased flares and pyrotechnics from Nemesis Fireworks as they feel we should be giving a more Continental support as opposed to the traditional Lancastrian moan and groan. It will make us stand out from the rest of the Average Joe's in this prestigious competition.

I believe the Hardly Athletic keeper keeps a pack of Benson and Hedges and a Big Mac in his goal during the game. I propose that you get to him by engaging in mental disintegration and make him desperately crave the fags and food.

Great tactics there TNO, have you thought about applying for the open Chief Scout position. Think you'd be a great asset with modern era,new age thinking such as this.

Tom, you must employ these tactics next Monday.

If my application is successful I am humbled to accept such an offer if bestowed upon me.

If you can give me a little bit of your background on your scouting abilities, successes on FM etc, then I'll be more than happy to send them to our Chairman Dickie Cranium by Email, and I'm in no doubt the post will be yours.

I can give you the best XI I scouted before they all became mainstream in an AVB hipster inspired 3-4-1-2 formation

Hugo Lloris (FM08)
Raphael Varane (FM11)
Ezequiel Garay (FM06)
Vincent Kompany (FM05)
Ezequiel Lavezzi (FM08)
Samir Nasri (FM07)
Geoffrey Kondogbia (FM11)
Lazar Markovic (FM13)
Phillippe Coutinho (FM11)
Gonzalo Higuain (FM07)
Romelu Lukaku (FM10)

I have also taken Bury to European Football and a Top 6 Premier League side from 24th in League Two with a strikeforce of Ched Evans and Ashley Grimes. I deserve the job for such a feat!

I have a good scouting network in the North West area looking for the finest powerleague academy players and enticing them with contracts involving your basic party bag of Haribo Starmix for your youth, to one big bag for a second year professional to a 20 crate of Stella for your seasoned pros!

Wow. That's a seriously impressive C.V.

The job is as good as yours TNO. We expect weekly scouting reports and the best tactics to employ against each opposition.

Looking forward to being amongst the paid ranks?

Dickie is currently in talks regarding a huge sponsorship deal, but I'm sure he'll offer you a contract here in the thread, when an amicable agreement that will benefit the club, long term is reached by Dickie and our potential future partners.

Oh I want the mighty Leyland to do well just as much as anybody, but just because I'm a realist people assume I want us to fail *sighs* ;)

I look forward to discussing personal terms with the noble Mr Cranium and am anticipating the contract offer with great pleasure. I have reached the pinnacle of my footballing life.

Yes, your current sig....It Just.Won't.Do.

It needs to say Supports: Bristol City and Sporting Leyland for you to become an official member.

We have no affiliation whatsoever with Bristol Rovers, so that should ease any uncertainty you had about joining up.

I believe we've even boycotted Gas-based products within the football club altogether such is our disdain for this particular institution.

We have indeed TNO. Also no Memorials of any sort to family members no longer with us can be erected or placed in any part of The Bamber Bridge 3G Stadium.

This shows how badly our relationship with the dark side of Bristol has become. We were never friends, but now you can feel the hatred towards Rovers emanating from our supporters at every home game. It's something you have to sample to appreciate.

I have to say, credit where it's due, that is a very impressive initiative. I can definitely support any club that is so in touch with its fans and the views of football supporters everywhere.

Now I have gone to the supreme effort of finding my profile page and typing in 3 words however, I will be expecting a lot more passion and a similar pride in the club on display on the pitch

Afternoon folks, as a former 6-a-side cup winning captain at the age of just 19 and proud original member of KFC in the Pitz Thursday League I would like to throw my support into the hat for Sporting Leyland.

In order to break the never ending cycle of supporting teams who are utter shite (Gills & England mainly), I would like to support Hardly Athletic.

Does anyone know if they have a supporters club?

Sorry for my delayed response. I have had lunch with a guy who Dominic Littlewood, The chap from Cowboy Builders has put onto me about building us a proper Supporters House nextdoor to our stadium. Something I'm sure you will all be pleased to know is going ahead.

On that note, An old company called Inch's Cider have decidied to jump on board and become on of our sponsors. This is truly remarkable for the club and I would urge any other sponsors who would like to get involved to Email me and we will arrange a meeting. Anyway, Inch's Cider, You may all remember they manufactured everyone's favourite brand of English white cider, White Lightning. It will be on sale for £1.50 a pint as soon as our bar is built.

Major news for the club today is that we have a new main sponsor. These will have they're company printed on the shirts and will offer us free flights when we get into Europe and also for our tour of the Shetland Island's at the end of the season. The company is FlyLo, many of you may have seen the documentary the BBC did on them called 'Come Fly With Me'. They have a great team there and Omar Baba, The CEO is a personal friend of mine. We are looking forward to this relationship with FlyLo and it will allow us to invest in the squad. It was needed as we already have quite a large squad.

TNO, I have received an email from Spired and your CV can not be matched. Come down in the morning and we will discuss personal terms. Hopefully we can look forward to working with you aswell.

Up the Leyland!
