White Hart Lane - a ground on which Liverpool haven't lost or conceded a goal at since November 2012.

Should be a very tough match. I expect a draw. Spurs haven't been as good going forward but they are still very good defensively.

Looks like Origi and Can are both out. This probably means the midfield 3 of Hendo, Lallana and Gini will start. #pray4liverpool

If it was up to me I would play Kevin Stewart as holding and drop either Hendo or Gini.

Yeah Hendo isn't suited in holding, better off with Stewart/Lucas/Matip there and let Hendo forward more. Stewart may get a game with it being against his former club also and would maybe look to make an impact against them. ;)

What happened to Grujic? From the way Liverpool fans have been speaking about him recently I thought he'd be starting every match.

Not a DM though. He is behind Gini and Lallana atm. Gotta ease him in :D

Easing him in gently as you do. He'll be a first team regular from Christmas on imho.

Fair enough Salty - I've not seen much of him but he scored a cracker of a looping header not long ago that I enjoyed.

Grujic is definitely a good player and would probably start in another system. But right now he's sort of in between the roles in our central midfield.

He's not the attacking midfielder, so that leaves either the ball carrier/runner (essentially why we bought Wijnaldum) or the holder. But from what I've seen of him so far, he isn't really a runner so he's probably going to be used as a sitter eventually. Which makes sense considering his size, as Klopp likes a sitter good in the air (due to us trying to force long balls to that area). But it's not his natural position.

So my take on it is that Klopp will try to turn him into a holder eventually, and that will take some time. I personally don't think he will be a regular by christmas as Salty stated. In fact, I don't think he'll be a regular here as long as Can is here, provided he doesn't surpass him. He might, I suppose, but even then it won't be by christmas.

But it really is a question of the system. If we had your manager, he'd probably be the first name on the team sheet as the slightly more advanced central midfielder in 4-2-3-1.

As for the game, I'm optimistic but not really confident. I think we'll give a good account of ourselves, but essentially Spurs are a better team than us at the moment. If they play to their full potential, they'll win.

I took Coutinho out of my fantasy team amid reports of him being rested and now he is starting so I expect him to play the game of his life.

Expecting a few goals in this one.

Well he should be off for his second yellow for what he just did to Rose.

Three points from White Hart Lane is never a bad result but Liverpool should have won that - they were the better team and Spurs really didn't look at it at all.

Draw as expected. Very poor way to concede the goal. Milner and Clyne should have done better.

Thought Liverpool just about deserved the 3 points, but they lost momentum when Coutinho went off and the subs didn't contribute much. Bringing on Sturridge with just a few minutes to go isn't one of Klopp's brightest moments. Mane is dynamite and if he keeps up his form he'll be a bargain somewhat for what was paid for him in today's market. I really like Lallana in his new role too, such a clever player.

We were quite good I thought, but Spurs were poor and we let ourselves down really. Should have won really, but a point at White Hart Lane is still a good result.

Tried to get on here earlier but the site is getting hit with ads again on my phone so I didn't bother.

Agreed, its football, Liverpool almost played that perfectly and rue those chances missed again, but prematch I'd have took a 1 - 1 so can't be too disappointed by it, though it is damn frustrating not to get some luck now and again, just like you lot have just gotten at Hull once more. :p

You've got a strange way of defining luck, Salty.

We played well. Probably done enough to get all 3 points but yet again the defence has one lapse and we concede.

This new rule of no contact in the box is too inconsistent too. Seen penalties given already this season for next to nothing but Matip gets thrown to the floor and the ref gives a warning saying if Vertonghen does it again then he'll give away a penalty?

Saying that, Mane was lucky to stay on. The offside goal was very close. Maybe he was a toenail offside.

4 points from the opening 3 games. Probably about what you'd expect from those games before the season started.
