It's easier to stay up from your position than it is to get promoted out the NL. Very few teams bounce straight back and if your new owners get bored and sell up its very easy to do a Scunthorpe or Stockport and spend years down there.
Maybe if we had a normal team it would be, but we don’t. We have a bunch of gutless serial losers who’ve been getting beat week after week for 18 months now.
Obviously in an ideal world we battle and stay up, but it aint gonna happen, I’ve accepted it now. We are down, 100%. I’ve seen teams that are up for great escapes in the past and this isn’t one of them. These lot aren’t up for the fight. Losing is ingrained in them.
So yes it will hard to bounce back, and it may take years, but we are going to have to try.
