Listen, the guy is fucking dogwank. I'm not saying your club is shit. I'm merely saying you've signed the single worst player I have ever ever ever seen.

That includes myself and over 1,000 other Sunday league players I've played with or against. HE IS STEALING YOUR CLUBS MONEY.

I don't care about what happened at my club, he was there the season before and was shite. Just accept it instead of defending the indefensible.

Well, he was alright last season. I'll judge him on what I'VE seen as opposed to a fan of the club that is in nose-dive mode.

He's not gonna be a starter anyway, and as per my previous post, he's adequate back up for numerous positions.

A lot of nippy youngsters in that forwards line, which can be a good thing, but we are lacking physicality outside the defence.

After tonight we could play with a 3-5-2 on the opening day of the season. Not sure we'd have the proper wingbacks/defenders/proper strikers to play with that system though. Demetriou and Rico Henry as wing backs, with Baxendale at number 10 behind Sawyers and Bradshaw playing as proper strikers. We only have 2 natural centre backs with Taylor filling in at centre back and only Bradshaw who is a PROPER, centre forward. Cook/Sawyers/Lalkovic/Baxendale are a combination of wingers or number 10's who can slot in upfront, but they aren't natural centre forwards and they aren't proper efficient back up for Bradshaw.

Few decisions for Smith to make I reckon.

Probably incorrect.

Robert will likely start in the number 10 role which means a few tweaks to the formation. Maybe play Stewart and Byrne as full backs, 3 at the back, with Robert behind Smith and Obika.

Think we might start something like this.

Laird is wasted in a wingback role, he's not quick and he's at his best when he's got someone in front of him and he's allowed to overlap or cut in and have a run.

With Neal and O'Connor potentially out for Crewe, this is probably our strongest side at present;

Sam Johnson

Ben Purkiss, Remie Streete, Ryan Inniss, Carl Dickinson

Anthony Grant, Sam Foley

Byron Moore, Sam Kelly
Ajay Leitch-Smith

Uche Ikpeazu

I think we're almost done recruiting, so...

Gk: Glenn Morris

CB: John Egan
CB: Max Ehmer
CB: Deji (Honestly cannot spell his surname...)

RWB: Ryan Jackson / Jermaine McGlashan
LWB: Bradley Garmston /Brennan Dickenson

CM: Aaron Morris / Jordan Houghton

With Stuart Nelson, Callum Davies, Jake Hessenthaler, Josh Pritchard and Rory Donnelly also in the squad. Pretty happy!

We are missing James Jones, Harry Davis and Ryan Colclough, so our starting XI will probably be:

Ben Garratt
Ollie Turton, George Ray, Jon Guthrie, New LB
Adam King, David Fox, Billy Bingham
Lauri Dalla Valle, Marcus Haber, Brad Inman

Subs: Dave Richards, Perry Ng/New CB, James Baillie, Chris Atkinson, Ryan Wintle, George Cooper, Callum Saunders

We have a couple of options now following the signing of David Dunn and the fact we have an abundance of midfielders.

Still the likes of Green & Poleon to enter the fold too.

A CB (or two) and perhaps another winger - Hiwat if he impresses against Carlisle - and we're good to go.

With our recent change of formation, it's looking likely that we will start the season like this, with maybe Andy Taylor or Paul Downing coming out for our incoming new centre back (whoever that may be). The wing backs are both excellent, and Baxendale seems to only perform when he is played centrally, he isn't a winger. Only question mark for me would be Romaine Sawyers who we're pushing forwards in hopes of getting more goals and assists out of him, which is the main thing he is lacking.

Really unsure about ours as we haven't seen Chaplow or Tyson yet so going on the pre-season games.

WIth Done out injured and seemingly to imminent CB arrivals...

Howard
Freeman Collins McEveley Harris/McFadzean
Woolford Basham Baxter Murphy
Adams Sharp

Not sure about Adams/Sharp. Can't imagne Sharp not playing and Adams has to after a really good pre-season. I'd be tempted with Sammon/Sharp up front and Adams in attacking mid instead of Baxter but then I can't see Baxter not playing either. Only other option would be Adams at RM but then he's wasted there IMO.

Matt Lund will miss the start of the season due to a knee injury.

Looking at who has shown up best in pre-season, I'd suggest the following as a possibility (4-1-4-1 formation):

Lillis
Rafferty - Eastham - McNulty - Kennedy
Barry-Murphy (!)
Vincenti - Allen - Camps - McDermott
Henderson

Subs - Diba, Cannon, Tanser, Rose, Kisimba (!), Andrew, Alessandra

Veteran player-coach in team after something like 4 games in the last 3 years, 2nd year YTS on bench...

Squad looks pants

As it stands for opening day (dependent on 4 at the back or 3 at the back)

Ben Garratt
Ollie Turton-George Ray-Perry Ng-Jon Guthrie OR George Ray-Perry Ng-Jon Guthrie all at CB
David Fox just behind Adam King-Billy Bingham OR Ollie Turton-David Fox-Adam King-Billy Bingham-Brad Inman in a horrible LWB experiment
Bradden Inman-Marcus Haber-Lauri Dalla Valle OR Marcus Haber-Lauri Dalla Valle

Missed out on our first three LB targets, Alan Tate wants to sign for us but Dull Davis is messing him about due to his burning desire to sign a crap Cardiff squad player in Ben Nugent. I think Tate will sign and it'll be 3 at the back for the season, so much for the four at the back optimism. Davis to be sacked by October.

Well maybe it's because Bradford are a much better team than Port Vale and therefore don't see him as such an important player.

Chelsea need their heads checking if Oscar starts on the bench.
Why ? He ain't even good

Not sure how good he's been recently. You'll have to ask Daniel, he watches the game on a illegal stream every Saturday but supports UKIP, hmmm, double standards.

I watch it on an illegal stream on a Saturday, hey?

Must've dreamt me being at every single Vale game then.
