This appointment could well prove to be Scally's downfall, it's an ill-conceived appointment that flies in the face of the opinion of a large percentage of our fan base, myself included. Evans is a horrible excuse for a human being even if you only judge him on his known actions.

Scally's published a six page rant today threatening to walk away from the club because of the way he has been treated and a lot of that abuse has definitely been way over the top. However, there's a sizeable minority that vocally despise him and if there's not immediate success on the pitch with Evans in charge, the atmosphere at Priestfield will almost certainly be so toxic he'll be left with little choice but to follow through on his threat and go.

Where that would leave the club is hard to say, but there's a very good number of fans who's relationship with the chairman had gone past the irreparable stage.
