I did think we’d be giving someone a good hiding, it has been a while.

Wasn’t there but followed on the radio but the goals sounded like well worked pieces of play and good strikes to be honest.

Everyone always thinks they are shit after getting a tonking off us (some of the interviews from opposition managers afterwards have been hilarious) but we’ve done it too often now for it not to be us being a bloody good side. Once we get teams with their heads down it’s foot on throat stuff.

Don't know why some Luton fans thought this one was going to be tricky. Afaic, this one was the clearest 'banker' of the day, in fact I initially went for a 4 nil win in the prediction league, before settling on 3 nil ;) Perhaps you were all thinking of the first round home match?

We’ve won 8 out of 9 now in all competitions, with the 9th that very good draw v Notts, scoring 31 goals in that time. We are insane this season.

Swindon now have officially the worst home record in the division. How?

Did you not watch it? Clueless hoofing with inadequate players. When you’ve been played off your own pitch by Barnet and Crawley it’s hard to take any other club’s credentials seriously. I can only take what I’ve seen in isolation and the 5-0 was only a marginally worse performance then most of the others at home.

Norris and the kid on the right will score goals against poor defensive side. They asked some questions first half. This was a tricky game if we didnt approach it i the right manner straight after Christmas, decent home crowd we're on a run and might have taken their home record lightly and they have the ability to hurt teams on the break. Lets see how Notts do there next week

In Ireland so (thankfully) not at the game today.

All I can really say is fair play Luton, we may be rank rotten at home but to score so many goals and score 5 away from Home is no mean feat.

Looks like you are going to run away with the league so enjoy it.

As for us, Notts County at Home next. Hurrumph :(

Why was this a tricky game beforehand?

I am somewhat of a pessimistic fan by nature so go into most games with at least an element of concern but they did do a decent job us in the reverse fixture, albeit with us down a man. They looked like the sort of team who could hurt us if we werent quite on our game which it seems we werent quite in our first half performance. They also have Matt Taylor who was something of an idol of mine growing up!

With the benefit of hindsight its easy to say it was an easy one, I also wasn't quite aware that their home form was as bad as it is!

We won’t win 5-0, you can be pretty sure of that!

I think they might give you problems and take points off you. They just lack confidence. If something goes their way at the start who knows.

I said I thought we'd nick it today and after a fairly cagey first half I still thought we were the best team. Second half just shows what we are capable of when we get some self belief. Collins goal was the catalyst and yet again we weren't satisfied with just winning the game but went on to score a hatful. A demolition job which more than makes up for the defeat at ours. I would be very worried to be a Swindon fan with that type of home performance even more baffling when you look at their away record. I guess the key word is confidence which in our case is sky high and in Swindon is clearly lacking at home in any case.
Thought Rea was outstanding today and for me is a very underrated player who is still improving. Its not just the quality of the players we have in our squad its the team spirit which NJ and his team have created. Carry on like this and all kind of records can be broken this season.
Final word on our support today. No trains the prospect of standing in the rain yet we turned up in numbers and gave the team excellent support. Of course it helps when your team are performing like that.

I’d happily take a point now, as with pretty much any away game. My focus is very much on the gap to fourth rather than to you lot.

Surprised it seems to have gone so far south for Swindon to be honest, they looked a useful team at ML earlier in the season and were quite unlucky to lose.

Great tackle by Rea for the 3rd goal from the looks of the highlights.

A somewhat underrated aspect of the season to date is the huge improvements of players from last season. Rea is definitely one of those as well as Potts and Olly Lee, who were much maligned at times last season, have all come on leaps and bounds from last season in my view. Think that has been somewhat over looked, perhaps rightly so with the quality of player we brought in over the summer, but Jones has shown ability to improve players as well.

Almost makes you wonder what if hes managed to do anything with Jordan Cook - was raving about how good hes been in training in his post match interview!

Yep, definitely agree with this. We strengthened in a few key areas this summer (although we lost key players from in those same areas first), but the majority of our side is the same as it was last season. 7 of the starting 11 today played last season, and the improvement in almost all of them has been dramatic.

I think another factor is that Jones is learning from his own mistakes. Last year the team changed every week, now you could name the XI fairly reliably every game bar injury (and subsequent comebacks from injury like Collins). Players play the same roles consistently too (unlike last season where Olly Lee might one game have been the holding midfielder and another game the #10, every midfielder (apart from Pelly perhaps) now has a set specialist role in the diamond and does not move from it).

There's so many reasons to be optimistic at the moment - just waiting for something to go wrong in January now to remind us what being a Luton fan is really all about...

The feel good factor at the club is something I haven't experienced for quite some time. The difference this time around is the fact that we have a group of people running the club who are fans and not just businessmen. Off the pitch the club has made huge strides the biggest of which will I hope be announced soon. On the pitch we have a man in charge that has brought back the attacking football tradition of this club and has turned young promising players into established ones with a bright future (us older fans will remember another bright manager who did the same). The depth of the squad is such that we could afford to lose a few players and still retain the level of performance. I'm sure if that happened we would bring in quality to replace them. Any clubs sniffing around our talent will have to pay well over the odds. Thats the advantage of being in our position. The biggest worry maybe on the manager front. NJ is already attracting interest but it will take a big club to lure him away. I can't see that happening this season. He still has an unfinished job here. When that day does come the club should be in a position to attract a decent manager. Its a lot easier to walk into a job with the right foundations.
The rollercoaster ride we experience as Luton fans has made us a tough bunch. Our ability to dust ourselves down and come again is very much part of the clubs character. Just now we are well and truly back and on the front foot. Lets enjoy it while we can.

7 like the amount of times we've beaten you in a row?

I'd rather lose 7-0 in League 1 than 5-0 in League 2
But it isn't 7 you cretin. Jesus, at least get your jizz stats right.

If you still think it is 7, go ahead and list them
