More than happy with us, not a momentum thing this season either, however when our backup players come in we lose it, 19 points from our last 8 games though, carry that on and we win the league.

Been impressed with Sheffield Utd. Wilder's done wonders there and I think playoffs are in reach if they keep up the momentum

With a couple fewer defensive howlers, we’d be right up there

Depends how unknowns like Eisa and Adelukan do when back from injury which with any luck will be soon. Would take a top 10 finish.

Would have taken mid table before the start of the season so can't complain, if it wasn't for a shocking decision on Saturday we'd be 5th too. Far too many draws though, need to work on seeing games out.

Just starting to settle in.

The footballs good, we just have that age old problem of breaking down teams who sit in. Loads of room for improvement but it's better than watching us pump long balls in the channels for Cameron Jerome to chase down.

Can't complain.

2nd after 10 games would've been un-thinkable in April last year. Bielsa has revolutionised basically the same team + Barry Douglas, who are now playing a completely different brand of football. Easy on the eye but tough on the players - I think the main concern is now the depth of the squad and the risk of fatigue setting in/injuries over the course of the season. That said, we've had 4 key players out for spells already and have coped reasonably well.

Not happy at all. This season has already started to drain me. Played really well against Brentford, and played alright against poor teams in Rotherham and Reading, but the rest we’ve been piss poor, or very lucky to have got something out of the game. We are going backwards.

We are bang average overall, with a bit of real class in Kelly and Weimann (though his form has dipped in the last couple of games). We'll win a few, lose a few and finish somewhere between 10th-15th.

If you had asked me 2 weeks ago, I would have said a really decent start apart from the 'Boro game.
Unfortunately, the last 2 performances have been crap and a total change in style so I'm not overly enthused.

Been rubbish away from home and can’t stop conceding late on which has cost us about four points already, but overall happy. Not got enough quality over the whole field to challenge the top six but more than enough to keep us away from trouble. It’s a weird feeling really, ten years since we had a boring mid table season and I’m not used to it.

Same as about 10 teams, some good, some bad and some downright boring.
Yet again I look at the table and think 4 points in the next two will leave us in the play offs again over the break but the reality is we are truly midtablely average.

u see Alex Neil getting sacked. I know that the current Strikeforce is dogshit but the rest of the team look decent on paper at least

I'd be amazed if he survives beyond Saturday after Wigan have beat us at Deepdale.

I'd be fucking livid if Alex Neil is sacked.

- Lost our best striker and one of our best creative players in pre-season to long term injury,
- 3 midfielders decide to get idiotic 3 match bans in consecutive games,
- We failed to replace Hugill meaning we have no plan B up top,
- We sell one of our best players in Cunningham and his replacement isn't a patch on him,
- Senior defenders such as Huntington and Clarke have just gone to pot
- Our summer signings have zero experience at this level (Nmecha, Ledson, Hughes, Storey, Burke & Barker) and all needed time (too much) to find their feet, most still aren't there yet.

He's made mistakes such as starting with Declan Rudd, not playing Johnson and tinkering too much but no manager can excel with those factors.

Fair points but there’s been a lot more mistakes than that. Even with all the factors you mention, there is no way we should be bottom with 24 goals conceded. Are we just supposed to plod along until January conceding 3 goals a game? It’s his job to sort it out and I’m not sure he’s capable.

Football fans at their fickle best again this, he was the best thing going last season.

Give it a rest, we’ve conceded 24 goals in 11 games and not won in 10. I’m still Neil in at the moment (apart from at half time yesterday when I had a bit of a meltdown) but it’s alarming how incredibly shit we are defensively. It’s so reminiscent of the Darren Ferguson era that it’s scary, we have to score 4 goals to win a game.

Our defence has been laughable and tactically he's played a part (the 5-3-2 system is wank) but I look at the goals we concede and 90% of the time it just comes down to individuals for me.

Take last night in the first half, how do you account for our left back constantly going for a wander and Huntington gifting them the ball like that? Collectively the defence need a massive confidence boost.
