Sheffield United have got 1st place wrapped. Theirs to lose.

The next 2 matches for Fleetwood against Scunthorpe and Bolton are crucial for all teams trying to finish 2nd.

Interesting battle for 2nd place, Sheff Utd running away with it but the chasing pack don't seem to differ too much in terms of quality.

Probably the most unlikely out of the bunch but i'd like Bradford nick it, good away day and they bring good numbers to Deepdale.

Fleetwood can stay down purely for that shite away end.

I haven't got a clue who will end up where but there are two things I'm extremely confident about.

Sheffield United will win the league title and Millwall will get promoted.

We've run out of steam it seems Rovers be right up for next week after their good win. Be a good game. Looking forward to the weekend, doing the night.

Our automatic promotion hopes are pretty much over at this point, we could realistically not in finish in the Play-Offs. I just can't see where a win is going to come from with the way that we are playing, it's embarrassing.

I spent quite a lot of the early season pointing out the similarities between your season and our season from last year. We too started to tail off around this point despite 'easier' games and did indeed finish outside the play-offs. I was talked down massively earlier in the year, but it's interesting to see it happening once again.

I'd say we're more like the Coventry of this year. We had an exciting young team but ruined it by bringing in donkeys like Craig Davies similarly to when they brought in Peter Ramage.

It's that time of the season where under DC we go on an insane run.

We couldn't, could we?

It's not certainly not impossible - but you have a minimum of 8 points to make up which is quite a lot over only 10 games, particularly given your recent form of too many draws albeit some of those have been against the better teams in the division.

Your run-in is in your favour though with a number of mid table/lower end to play. If one of the current holders of the play off spots falters badly (including us, though I'd be very surprised) and you win the next 4 on the bounce or similar then there's a chance. Scunny certainly look vulnerable right now.

We're still drawing too much, but even on our current 'mixed' form we would still make 74 points which has been enough for the play offs for the last several seasons. Could easily be argued we still have a shot at 2nd but there are too many variables in play for that to happen IMO.

It would be a monumental fuck up now if we don't go up. In our last 10 fixtures we play the current bottom 5, 14th,15th,16th. And Bradford and millwall. 6 wins will be enough to get us up and probably enough to win the league.

Should we win the league we will of won division1,2,3 and 4 all 1 time each. It's vary rare we win anything. It's not exactly an achievement because a lot of teams never grace division 4 but I wonder how many teams have won all 4 divisions?

Just checked.
Currently only 3 clubs have won all 4 divisions.

Wolves, Burnley and Preston.

With Scunthorpe losing again last night I think that put's them out of running for 2nd place which leaves it between Fleetwood and Bolton. Saturday's game will be pivotal.

What if you and Bolton draw, with us and Scunny winning? We'd be 3 point behind with Scunny drawing level with 9 games still left. There's also Millwall, any team in the top 6 is capable of putting a winning run together with any team capable of losing 2-3 games on the spin. Nowhere near over yet.

Agree with this, crazy results time with lower teams beating the top teams. There will be twists and turns most weeks. Positions 2 to 6 up for grabs with 10 teams still interested.

Scunny will end up outside the play-offs. It's written.

Aye, the Fleetwood fan is counting his chickens here, it's very tight and there will be some movement before the season is out.

Fleetwoods test now is playing with expectation starting against Bolton this Saturday.

We know the bar is set lower here, but when you look at the table automatic looks achievable, not easy ofcourse but do able, and the players will feel the kind of pressure placed on teams around them every week. The difference between playing for Fleetwood and Bradford or Bolton for example.

There is still a long way to go though, but bar a massive collapse I would think is reasonable to think we will be in a playoff at worst.

You look a really good side and have beat a lot of the top sides recently. Even if you were to end up in the playoffs it would be a momentous achievement. Nothing to lose.

I don't think anyone disagrees that you have been excellent this season and are well in the race for 2nd place but you certainly shouldn't be discounting anyone all the way down to Millwall, it's only 6 points seperating you all. To completely rule out Scunny and say it's a two horse race is just wrong.

If Fleetwood could either be confirmed as promoted or purely safe in the play offs by the time they play us second last game, that could be handy.

Cheers.

I dont rule any of the top 6 put at all, we could easily lose 5 in a row and its gone.

Most of this team werent safe from relegation until the final match last season so that tells you what a job Roslers done whatever happens.

Some of us haven't shamed the City of Sheffield by playing fourth tier football lads :D

I wish I was around to see it. Watching your team top of any league is brilliant. Obviously it's even better the higher the league. I'd love to turn into a club that goes up and down between the prem and championship rather than turn into a stoke for example in the prem or an Ipswich in the championship.
