After our appalling run of 1 defeat in a row, we now find ourselves just 9 points clear with between 1 and 4 games in hand on all those below us.

We have given ourselves a real mountain to climb, and I just hope we don't leave it too late to appoint Martin Allen to save us.

Pleased they've gone with the AFC at the end of the name rather than the start, just doesn't look right the other way round.

So the bottom 3 look gone now unless one team completely drops, Maidenhead are the only likely challengers from what I’ve seen.

If we lose at home to Ebbsfleet on Tuesday we're back down there, we were awful yesterday and clueless tactically.

You won’t lose to them they are absolutely wank. You might draw 0-0 at worst if they come with the same ideas that they did yesterday.

I wouldn't rule out a loss if we line up with two full backs at centre mid like we did on Saturday. Might come down to whoever is least worst tactically.

Ebbsfleets win last night has thrown a bit of uncertainty into the relegation battle, there may be a 4 point gap to Chesterfield on 40 points but anyone from Sutton & Wrexham down have now been pulled back into the mire.
So fans of Sutton, Wrexham, Eastleigh, Dagenham & Redbridge, Maidenhead, Chesterfield, Ebbsfleet, AFC Fylde and Chorley...
1) Who do you think will be the bottom 3 and relegated?
2) Who will be 4th bottom and probably win the AGM cup (current holders Aldershot Town)?
3) What would relegation mean for your team?

Of the candidates I think that at this stage there is only Chorley who are 99.9% gone.
Ebbsfleet have shown that a couple of wins can change things (even with the thrashing at Chesterfield in-between) - so there is some degree of hope for them and AFC Fylde.
Sutton whilst mathematically in the mix should easily get enough points as they have only lost 1 in 14.
Wrexham's win at Bromley looks good on paper - but Bromley have picked up only 19 points from the last 20 games, so I don't think Wrexham are out of it yet.
Chesterfield are much improved under Pemberton, but there is always the possibility that the new manager bounce will end, so Chesterfield are definitely not out of it.
Maidenhead are inconsistent and just lost at home to Ebbsfleet... They have only picked up 10 points in the last 10 games. The same average up to the end of the season might just keep them up - but i think they'll struggle.
Dagenham & Redbridge - have 9 points from the last 5 games and would have been down with Fylde without that. They now have Balanta back which is a major plus... but footballers confidence is a fragile thing and they face Barrow away on Saturday - and when they lost at home to Barrow they were doing ok, then went on a horrendous run.

my predictions;-
20th Dagenham & Redbridge
-------------------------------------
21st Ebbsfleet
-------------------------------------
22nd Maidenhead United
23rd AFC Fylde
24th Chorley

Big win for Ebbsfleet last night gives them a sniff of a chance, Maidenhead seem woeful at present but their manager always churns out impossible results. More than the usual tally of points required to stay up this year I think.

But seriously, I think the bottom 3 will be as you predicted. Maidenhead look a very limited team and appear to be running out of steam.

I think your predictions are right. We are looking in serious trouble now and I don't have faith in Devonshire to make the signings he needs to.

It says a lot about how poor our transfer business is that we're now starting to miss Jake Cassidy.

Well we are long gone, but with Fylde, Maidenhead and Chesterfield still to visit Victory Park may well be instrumental in taking 1 or 2 down with us, hope its Fylde, after a crap season that would soften the blow a bit.

I quite like Chorley from having watched our matches there the last time you were in this league - and all us Barrow fans will like Chorley even more if you help send AFC Fracking down...

I felt like starting a chant.."how shit are you...only winning 3-1"...we were that bad.
Clueless, brainless, gormless and worst of all toothless.
We are gone...only AGM can save us now.

It was a genuine question. Two threads dilutes the quality of the debate, but hey ho, whatevs as the kids say.
Don't worry. I'll post in both so you don't miss my charm.

Things have turned so quickly. We looked home and dry after beating Solihull but have been so abject in our last two games that it's hard to see how things will turn round without big changes.

Chipmunx loves a relegation thread or 5, he's already got the most posts on the L2 version.
